I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.

The authors examined the effects of high-dose oral alendronate (40 mg daily) for 6 months on 3 adult patients with intractable headache due to fibrous dysplasia of the skull. Each patient had disease processes not amenable to surgery. The patients underwent clinical follow-up at 1, 3, and 6 months. Their pain levels were documented at each visit by using a visual analog scale. All 3 patients demonstrated a significant decrease in pain levels and became independent of scheduled analgesics.
I am also taking Aromasin for bc. Stopped alendronate (I am osteopenic due to 30 yrs of prednisolone and Arimidex) in case this caused the oesophagitis. Would appreciate your advice.
thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.
I just got back from a 2 week holiday/vacation. I have not been on this forum for quite a while. I hope that all of you that I have talked to (as well as all those on the forum) are moving along with dx/treatment. I am still fibro dx. My memory loss is clearly getting worse and at 35 yrs old, that is scary. I stopped taking Seroquel (was for sleeping) due to how much it cost on my husbands insurance. That is why I am on the computer at this time of night.
To be safe should I go on the pill to stop it from coming during my holiday ? does it cause weight gain or pimples ??
I was supposed to pick up my celexa today, but with all the holiday rush , I forgot. I usually take 40mg celexa every nite and now pharmacy not open til Friday morn. Wondering if I should take an old rx of trazodone between now and then.????

My boss has never had to deal with maternity before but is seriously annoyed at me accruing holiday and having appointments off work so has barely spoke to me all day (hes still getting over me having 2 weeks off for my honeymoon) Can he refuse me my holidays?

Am I the only one who does not want a holiday baby? Like I don't want my baby to share a holiday with the world. Lol I'm really hoping my baby comes before or a few days after.
