Adapalene hyperpigmentation

Common Questions and Answers about Adapalene hyperpigmentation

Avatar n tn ve tried azelaic acid 20%, ascorbic acid 20%, kojic acid, glycolic acid, salicilyc acid, tranexamic acid, adapalene, tazarotene 0,1%, hidroquinone which made it worse, mercury bleaching cream, BBL, laser peel (resufacing), flucinolon. I think flucinolon worked best, but i can't use it long term on my face. When i use it, the inflamation and hyperpigmentation subside, but effects are immediatly reverted if i stop using it.

Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin. 1364054 tn?1346005167 Hello, Adaplene is a topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne. Adapalene controls acne but does not cure it. Medications similar to adapalene have caused tumors in laboratory animals who were given the medications and exposed to real or artificial sunlight. It is not known whether adapalene increases the risk of tumors in humans. But it is advisable to protect yourself from sunlight and sunlamps while taking adapalene. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

But my mummy has this black line on her nose as well & her family members means my meternal family have the same problem. Doctors said it appeared due to ultrviloet rays of the sun. Avatar n tn I've had a truly hideous sun damage/hormonal brown hyperpigmentation problem on my face for 8 years now. The worst part is that my acne, impetigo and chicken pox scars are snow white and so the total effect is terribly uneven and very, very obvious - I feel like a very ugly Smartie box. So many dermatologists, so much sunblock, so many prescribed peroxide creams and absolutely no permanent result. Temporary, minor fading is the extent of efficacy.
Avatar f tn Can prolonged bright light shined into the eye cause hyperpigmentation of the retina and the choroidal? If so does the hyperpigmentation all so effect pigmentnts in the iris?
Avatar m tn I have been using Epiduo or TactuPump (Same thing, different names) since around December I think and it has helped a lot with my acne and I just have Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation left. Since around the middle of February I have had eye bags under my eyes, I think the cause of it was my sleeping late for a week or so, but after that I started sleeping 8-9 hours a night and the eye bags didn't budge. They're a little smaller now, but they are still here.

Avatar m tn I spoke with a dermatologist about it and i left with a prescription for adapalene. After a month of application on my nose, the problem has not improved. I am having a difficult time understanding how the product could be working. Is there another product that i should be using with the adapalene gel? Is there something else that i could be using? I have noticed over the years that my personal hygene products have caused my hair loss.
Avatar f tn Hi, Hyperpigmentation Removal treatments are used to eradicate darkened areas of the skin which may result from hormones, sun damage, injuries, skin-type characteristics, medications and more. Hyperpigmentation lesions can be anything from melasma/cholasma often attributed to pregnancy or hormonal imbalances to freckles.
Avatar f tn I’ve search through the internet bc I didn’t know what to call these dark spots so I assume it’s hyperpigmentation. I’ve tried various over the counter acne washes and my doctor even prescribed me a 5% benzoyl wash, which did not even do anything. I’ve also tried home remedies like aloe Vera and putting lemon juice. I also tried lemon and honey for my hyperpigmentation but sadly it did not work. I really have bad acne scars and there’s still some active acne.
Avatar n tn ve noticed gradual hyperpigmentation right above and below the scar. The hyperpigmentation sits where the thyroid was. I asked the surgeon and a dermatologist. Either of them knew why it happened. Neither of them had seen anything like this after a thyroid surgery. Does anyone also develop hyperpigmentation around the scar? Thanks.

Avatar m tn Hello, I have had bad hyperpigmentation on penis since my teen years. I am 26 years old. It started developing when I hit puberty. I saw a dermatologist when I was 20 to see what I could do about it. He gave me a skin lightening cream with hydroquinione. After using this product my penis became extremely sensitive to rubbing and stretching (painfully sensitive). I am still experiencing pain from rubbing or stretching. It was extremely embarrassing to see a doctor the first time around.

Avatar f tn I have hyperpigmentation in the axilla and in between the upper part of the thighs , I believe this is because of sweating and friction in these parts , besides I sweat too much in summer . Avatar f tn Been to a skin clinic to do something about the scar, it appears greyish black, done a biopsy test, and the hyperpigmentation is deep within the dermis. I have done 2 times of laser on it and applied hydroquinone for about a month. But it still remains unchanged, are there any other options?
Avatar n tn Hi, The adverse effects from minocycline hydrochloride treatment are uncommon, but there are few reported cases of hyperpigmentation as a side effect of its use. The cutaneous hyperpigmentation usually resolves after cessation of the drug. Tooth discoloration, however, generally remains. Pigmentation associated with minocycline most often appears in patients after long-term therapy, usually at doses greater than 100 mg per day.
