Then I realized I can control it with oral drugs, so I changed insuline to actoplus and metformin 15/850 twice a day. Now, my A1C has been keeping at range 5.8-6.2 for the past 2 years. I read some paper about MODY a few days ago. Now I am worrying about if I have MODY. I am 29 now. I am the only one with diabetes in my family history. I am overweighted and my BMI is 2.75. Both actoplus and metformin work very well for me. Will you please give me any advice if I should go to do MODY tests?

My medication is considerably higher than mine? Can you explain why? My blood sugar was running abot 137 so my Doctor also put me on Actoplus as well. My Lipitor is about $100 and my wife's Simvastatin is about $6 (same quantity of tables-30). Why should my wife be taking medication with her levels being slightly higher than the desired mid-point?

Yes. I am 3months pregnant now and when they took serum/blood test on me it came back negative. I met a doctor who told me why but it's way to much to type here. I experienced it with this pregnancy and my almost 4year old.

Hi, well as you know once your infected its for life and even without breakouts shedding takes place where no sore is evident. Using condoms and meds can reduce the rates dramaticly low for contracting but none the less you would be at risk.
You might want find out if she has hsv1 or 2 and get tested yourself to see yoru status.

m a 38 year old female and for the last few months have been having some strange symptoms. My left shoulder aches, I have a terrible bloated/acid feeling in my stomach and a feeling that something just isn't right. A couple of weeks ago I went for a stress test (treadmill), echocardiogram as well as had a holter monitor for 24 hours. Everything came back normal and the cardiologist I met with said my heart is fine. Could something have been missed?
Hello everyone, about 4 months ago I met up with a girl I had just met, I thought she was on her period so I didn't bring any condoms, she wanted to have sex and said she was over her period but because I didn't know her and didn't bring a condom we didn't have sex. We did however French kiss for a few hours and I fingered her for about 10 minutes then she gave me unprotected oral. I never noticed any blood in her mouth but who knows.
She was completely rude and dismissed all of my symptoms as MS. She told me that she had patients who had numbness and tingling with EBV, but had never met anyone who was having tremors and ear ringing.
Needless to say, I was visibly upset when I left her office. I am not married to any dx at this point, but I was very surprised how this ID discounted a low CD57 and neurological EBV. I am very upset and just wanted to post this in hopes that it could help someone else.
