actonel tmj

I have taken fosamax and actonel and have had stomach problems and aching bones. My doctor is thinking about the yearly injection of reclast. How safe is it and will I have more problems with my bones aching - I can't sleep at night a lot from the pain. I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

I am a 45 year old woman who has had TMJ since I was a teenager. When my TMJ flares up I do get pain in my arm and armpit. The only way I have gotten relief is via a massage therapist. The TMJ tightens up the fascia and they are able to work to release. Good luck and hope you can find some relief.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . Right hip replacement. I'm on requip, lyrica, cymbalta,celebrex, just starting actonel plus vitamins & calcium. thank you. I'm 76, female. I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.

I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.

You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.

Anyone else suffering from tmj? How do you find relieve during pregnancy?

It does sound like the symptoms of a TMJ problem. TMJ dysfunction can be complicated and multifaceted. I think it is very important that you consult a dentist that specializes in this type of dysfunction and that you have a detailed workup done with the appropriate diagnostic tests.

I was recently told that I have a cyst in my parotid gland caused by TMJ. I do not understand why the cyst is not being removed.

Ok. so I'm only 14 yrs old [female] and a few months ago my jaw was hurting REALLY bad. It eventually went away on it's own but now it's back. It like the joint thing of my left jar, it feels like it's pushed in furtur or something.It also feels tight at times. The teeth in the left side of my mouth just started hurting, My left shoulder and left side of my neck is CONSTANTLY hurting.

I would like to know if I have tmj. I have headaches jaw pain teeth pain earaches popping if I open my mouth to far and neck pain???

I'm 25. I've had TMJ for 2 years. Yesterday, the pain got worse; there's now a sharp pain in my jaw when I swallow. I was thinking of what I did yesterday... lifted weights is all that comes to mind. It made me clench my teeth. When is safe to re-enter the weight room? Thanks.

im not sure if this is what is causing the pain in my temples....yes i do have TMJ....i can be walking and all of sudden it hurts outta no where...feels like my temple is gonna pop! ...pretty sure its not going to... but my tmj has def..gotten worse..but i cant go currently because my daughter needs to go...and she also is teeth grinder and needs a mouth gaurd....any ideas on how to stop this pain?? i know i have tension pain at the top of my head?

Im having problems with my TMJ acting up, any ideas of how I can relieve the pain??? Pain is starting to kill.

I'm having what I believe to be a TMJ flare up. Is it normal for teeth to be more sensitive? Gum pain? Toothache?

Secondly the x-ray you had done probably was a Panorex x-ray which I would not consider as a proper x-ray for diagnosing TMJ dysfunction. In order for a proper diagnosis of your TMJ condition I would recommend seeing a TMJ expert.
