I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. the generic in india is absolutely the same as brands, it is just cheap and easy chemicals.....so easy to do.

it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.

This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.

And most people report brand name drugs, while a lot more expensive, work better. They certainly have better quality control as they don't have to cut corners because of low profit margins.

Actonel, plus Vitamin D3-ANALOG from Denmark for bone re-mineralization (which is not available in the USA yet, but has been used all over Europe with lab proven success), and Crestor for high cholesterol. I had to come to Panama to be diagnosed with Hashi/hypo because my USA family doctor would not run any test except TSH, even though I repeatedly asked him to do the thyroid panel.
