actonel and flu like symptoms

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN BE GOING ON WITH ME ?

I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

ok, so then I came down with Pneumonia, I was really sick this happened in August then again in February I got Pneumonia, it really got me down, it took a shot of Rocephin, (antibiotic) a z-pak (antibiotic) then finally a full 10 day of Levaquin,, finally Pneumonia gone,, but ever since I get flu like symptoms,, Like really bad aching in my joints/low grade fevers/ I obviously don't have the flu but I was wondering if anyone with MS has flu like symptoms?

About a week ago, she started exhibiting flu-like symptoms, including feeling weak and experiencing muscle aches. Our doctor is out of town this week, but a colleague of his told my mother she did NOT have the flu. Since the thyroid medication is the newest addition to her medication, is it possible that it was too much and she is reacting to it? I feel like I have the flu, which started randomly today. Its happened once before and only lasted a day and a half. The first time I saw a Dr. But he said I was fine. But he also didn't actually test me for the flu because he hasn't seen anyone come in with the flu this summer. I'm so misrible and I need to work. I'm only 15w6d. Anyone else have this issue?

If its just a cold you and your baby should be fine but if its the flu is more serious because the medicine they give for the flu is harmful for the baby and since is the flu season you should go get the shot as soon as you can..

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.
