ok so if they say you are negative on the hiv test basically they will not take anymore acton? Im hoping to soon get over this fear in my life.. How did you get passed it?

I had a planned c section with my now 20 month old and it was a wonderful experience. I went in around 9am. They prepared me for the surgery, took me to the O.R around noon, the anesthesiologistcame in and gave me my spinal block, which was a lot less painful than the epidural I received with my first son, he left & doctor came in. checked to see if I was numb, and of course I was so they put a curtain up and begin the surgery.

Well I just wanted to share some good news. The Chiari Institute has gotten back to me after only 2 weeks after mailing the paperwork and is interested in seeing me! Thank God - I will finally get some professional opinions sometime soon. The nurse I spoke to said I just have to mail my most recent brain MRI CD to them and she will present my case to a doctor and call me back with an appointment!

A CT scan this month found chiari 1 (in Israel). I am due for an MRI but want to coordinate this with a specialist like this chiari institute (at my first thought). Hi everyone! So I'm looking at going to the Chiari Institute for help. My symptoms have worsened over the past few weeks and my left leg and arm seem to be going paralyzed permanently and it continues to worsen everyday, plus a whole bag of other scary symptoms. I'm curious of all of those who have gone to and been treated by the Chiari institute (if you're here on this board). How long ago did you go? Who is/was your neurosurgeon? Did you have surgery? If yes, why? If no, why not? Overall, were/are you happy with them and your care?

d want none other than Dr. Rotake at The Chiari Institute to do the surgery. I know there was a scandal, years ago, but it seems as reputable a place as any (no more, no less). I've also read wonderful things about Dr. Oro in Colorado. Has anyone had personal experience with either? We live in northern Virginia but would be willing to travel. We have 2 reproduction centers in my town. The Jones Institute, the oldest one, and New Hope. I have heard so many good things about New Hope. I am going to the Jones Institute because that is where my GYN referred me. I do not have any negative feelings about where I go. A lot of people have told me I should go to New Hope. So, I called New Hope this morning and they cannot do a consultation until June 3. The Jones Institute called me back after giving them the negative result.

As noted by Flippinpatty - the Texas Heart Institute is an excellent cardiovascular institute with a number of physicians who specialize in different areas of heart disease. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone personally there for referral. My recommendation is trying to look on their website and identifying any staff who identify hypertrophic CM as one of their specialties or interests. Glad Flippinpatty was able to refer you to a specific individual.

Hi everyone I am sending my medical reports to the US for a second opinion, I contacted The Chiari Institute in NY. I saw that they are specialized in Syrinx and I will get a phone consult if necessary . Do any of you have any experience with that institute ? oh yes... I finally got an answer from my dr after a long wait.. No Chiari there :), my cerebellar tonsill is 1 mm down and my Syrinx has grown from T6-T9 to T6-T10.
