I have spent tons of money on different razors for men and even on womans razors. I have also purchased an electric razor and it irritates my skin as well, i even once tried nair! you can imagine what that did. Now i have used different after shaves and i have shaved with shaving cream and tried bar soap and i get the same issue. My skin is red to dark red in color and will sometimes look like horrible acne or bad rashes caused by poison oak or other irritants.
ive been trying to look for solutions for acne too cause its just so bad . i cant put my makeup on cause it just looks gross with all the pimples and stuff. :/ i used to use proactive and it kept my skin clear but now i heard that its not safe tp use any chemicals so i just wash my face every morning and night and hope for the best...
i have gone to numerous doctors and dermatologists but no on knows whats wrong. alnog with this, my acne just keeps getting worse. every time i use a cream for the acne, my skin burns, and if i let of with the treatment, my acne gets worse. Please if you have anything thing that may help contact me.
I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.

Avoid using heavy moisturisers as this can add to the problem.
The best over the counter remedy for spots is, in my experience, Freederm. However, prescription medications are often much more beneficial. Talk to your doctor to see if oral or topical antibiotics could help you, and also ask about hormonal solutions.

I am a 26 year old female who a year ago started getting horrible facial acne but only on the cheeks and in the past year has experienced a unexplained 10 pound weight gain with no changes to her diet. I do work out more then I used to but the weight gain is all in the stomach and uneffected with exercise or diet.
A year later doctors tell me " I'm 26 my metabolism has slowed down. " and that was my PCP, gynecologist, and a gastro doctor.
Hi to cure my acne and hair growth my dermatologist recommends to use a hormone pill (sponalactaid i think?) to reduce my high testoterone level. My mother had breast cancer because of hormone pills so I refuse to take it. Instead, I researched ways to lower testosterone "naturally" and came across an herbal supplement called Macafem which claims to affect the pituatry gland to make the hormones produced more "balanced" Anyone heard of this and is this true?
I did finish accutane about 3 months ago which cleared up my acne but all of this redness is just terrible and looks like i still have cystic acne. Now im just totally depressed about this if its true.
Is this true that i'll have to look like this for the rest of my life?
I thought redness fades with time? does it not?
Do you know anything about laser treatments and how much they average? Are they very effective? whats your stand on laser and is it safe?

For some reason am getting acne but on my head.. it doesn't go pass my ears but it aint close to my face.. my husband started to get it first but then I did .. oh and our face started to get so oily too.. ftm.. I dont know what to expect. .
This is another one of those things that's different for everyone. I tried the gold bond...it did nothing for me...Aveeno, oatmeal, nothing touched it.
I went to topical cortisone...2-3% over the counter stuff....that's the only thing that gave me relief....then, after about 6 weeks, the itching & rash just went away...and it's one of the sides that never came back.
Of course, then my hair started falling out....
