acne

Avatar n tn If you cannot tolerate topical acne gels, ask your doctor for a course of oral oxytetracycline. This is an antibiotic which will help treat both acne and rosacea. Use a bland cleanser indicated for facial redness. I like Rosaliac by La Roche-Posay, Redness Relief by Eucerin and Redness Solutions by Clinique. Eloise.
Avatar n tn Hi. What is your son's diagnosis? If he has acne or rosacea a course of oral antibiotics from his doctor may be effective. Clinique have lauched a new range of products called Redness Solutions. Using their cleanser and moisturiser will reduce visable redness of the face. I also recommend Eucerin's Redness Relief cleanser and moisturiser, which is a bit less expensive.
Avatar f tn Hi. Acne is no longer just a teenage problem. Here in the Uk the average age for acne has now risen above 30 for the first time. Avoid using heavy moisturisers as this can add to the problem. The best over the counter remedy for spots is, in my experience, Freederm. However, prescription medications are often much more beneficial. Talk to your doctor to see if oral or topical antibiotics could help you, and also ask about hormonal solutions.
Avatar f tn Try acne solutions by clinique. Its maybe $80 for the system. Ive used it and my 9 yr old uses it daily. Its none allergenic and it was developed by dermatologists.
12037914 tn?1437677245 I started breaking out the last couple weeks of my pregnancy & after I had my daughter. My face looked really bad. I use Clinique & it works really good. I have sensitive skin & I love clinique. It's kind of expensive but it works. Now I am 38 weeks with my 2nd child and every time I break out I use my Clinique & my face clears right up.
Avatar f tn Wanting to help her feel better I got her the Clinique Acne Solutions 3 step process. She used it for 2 days and now it appears that her face in burned...some spots worse than others. How do we treat this? I made an appt with a dermatologist but we can't get in for a month. HELP!
Avatar n tn I wash face twice a day with my normal face wash. Also I use a sulfer face mask by acne free. Lush has good face masks too my favorite is magaminty mask that has a cooling mint feeling.
Avatar f tn I switched from clinique to peter thomas roth anri aging cleanser and havent looked back.
Avatar f tn There are lots of things you can do to help your acne clear up. Clarins, Clinique and Estee Lauder all make good ranges for blemish prone skin, as spots are affecting more and more women in their 20s and 30s. Estee Lauder's Maximum coverage foundation is great for covering all imperfections for special occasions. Your doctor can prescribe you an anti-androgen contraceptive pill such as Yasmin or Dianette (Diane35 in the USA) which will provide birth control and clear up acne.
Avatar n tn i have suffered from acne for the last 12 years, due which i have got large pores on my cheeks, can you please suggest ways in which i could minimise those.
Avatar n tn My face has been breaking out like crazy since I got pregnant. I use clinique face wash but it doesn't seem to be helping.
Avatar f tn t safe while pregnant but confirm by reading the labels! Apparently charcoal soap is amazing for acne.. I think you can get it at Walmart.
Avatar f tn Third trimester is the worst! I wash face 2-3 x a day. Use a sulfer mask twice a week. Also clinique acne solution soft spot treatment works well. My bf scrubs my back for me once a day w face wash too.
Avatar n tn I dont even know where to get hypo allergic make up. I thought clinique would be good because its for sensitive skin .. apparently not Hehe ... No one ever uses my make-up because i have gotten them so frequent that I wont let it and no one wants to LMAO!
Avatar f tn I too hate using lotion on my face, but they do make moisturizer for acne and oily skin. I use Clinique and I like it a lot. Also try an exfoliating ance cleanser to get the flakes off. Also I have found that when I dry my face with a clean wash rag every night it makes a difference as opposed to using the same one a few night in a row. Good luck! OH! And going to see a dermatologist is a really good idea. Especially this young because you wouldn't want her to scar.
1661017 tn?1302629897 I use Clinique Anti-blemish solutions - facial cleansing foam, toner, moisturiser and eye cream. These have never caused any reactions in the years of using them and they are dermatologically tested. I have read about perioral dermatitis, it looks and sounds like a mild form of that. It's more common in women aged 25 - 40 and comes and goes. What does everyone else think?
Avatar f tn for a few hours or while being medicated. I have consulted multiple doctors and none have been able to prescribe treatment solutions that have helped short- or long- term to effectively address the issue. My doctor has swabbed the area and the results have come back negative.
341551 tn?1266980730 i've been using proactive since before i even got pregnant....kept using it all through my pregnancy and i haven't had a problem. it's been doing wonders on my skin. my doc never gave me restrictions on what facial washes i could and could not use so i just kept on using it. it hasn't affected either of my boys as far as we can tell from the u/s and bloodwork.
Avatar n tn Hello, The problem of enlarged pores on face or facial pores is commonly associated with excessive oiliness and acne. The excessive oiliness of the skin is in turn triggered by the hormonal changes in the body. Large pores can be easily dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Other treatments to consider include microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers and chemical skin peels.
Avatar n tn s getting to the point where I really need help, because it affects my self-esteem. I think it is adult acne and rosacea, but not sure. I was hoping somebody could tell me what it is and if this could be treated with laser and if the insurance would likely pay for it (united). I don't like the idea of taking antibiotics over a long term. Thanks a lot.
Avatar n tn I like Rosaliac by La Roche-Posay, Redness Relief by Eucerin, and Redness Solutions by Clinique. When considering any treatment in the future have a test patch done first to check for a reaction.
926790 tn?1244060310 Good evening, Doctor. This is more so of a self esteem killer, then a serious issue. I cannot recall exactly how long I've been dealing with this, but I am more then well aware that a lot of people put up with this, as well. I'm 17 years of age. My first issue / question: 1.) Ever since I could remember, I've had an issue with oily skin. More so in my face, then anywhere else.
