492921 tn?1321289896 Here is some research not sure who told you it is not safe but it is and other women should not be scared to use it due to inaccurate information....... Over-the-counter acne treatments are generally considered to be safe to use during pregnancy. Most of these treatments contain benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide has been proven in clinical studies to be safe to use during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I've been using a moisturiser that contains less than 3% salicylic acid for acne. Would this affect fertility? The reason I am asking is because DH and I are TTC and we haven't had any luck in the past 3 cycles. We got pregnant immediately (seriously, within a week I knew I was pregnant) with our first child. I never used the moisturiser before because I didn't have acne but my last pregnancy really messed up my skin BIG TIME.
1621269 tn?1327203489 I would check with your doctor as well but in the meantime, there is a skin care line made especially for pregnant women. The website is basqnyc.com. I hope this helps!
Avatar f tn Hi moms,,, I am 7week pregnant and I am suffering from acne..all over my face cheeks and chest...Is there anything can I do to remove it or reduce it other than medications or acne cream because my doctor did not advise me to apply any acne cream during this trimister..but it bothers me alot..
Avatar n tn Although it can affect anyone, melasma is particularly common in women, especially pregnant women and those who are taking oral or patch contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The treatment includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months.
Avatar f tn No cortisone cream is for like itchy irritated skin. It helps sooth and heal it. My I do use apricot scrub for my acne it helps. And put a good lotion on after. If you have acne all over your body you could buy a bar soap that has benzoyl peroxide in it. And wash you body with it. It kind of dries your skin out so you want to make sure you have some good lotion.
Avatar f tn If the acne persist then you may need topical antibiotics like Clindamycin cream for which you should consult a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
549876 tn?1219952270 ve been making sure I clean my face 3 times a day, morning noonish and before bed. I then use clearasil vanishing acne cream. It works good! I have noticed, that the oil from my face gets on my pillow case and if I don't wash it twice a week, I break out more. So try washing or changing your pillow case more, and flip your pillow maybe. I have way through the week after I have used both sides for two nights each, just throw a towel over my pillow and sleep on it.
Avatar f tn I have never had acne my whole Life! Now that im pregnant iv had horrible acne. It started from the very beginning, and im 17 weeks!! What do can I do?
Avatar f tn I've never had acne but since I've been pregnant my face has been breaking out left & right. I wash my face every morning & every night as well with a face scrub from clinic & nothing is working.
Avatar f tn Never used to get spots but as soon as i fell pregnant i got loads, im 21 weeks now and my skins pretty clear so it should go so dont worry about it just use spot cream for now
Avatar f tn My dr says your not supposed to use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid it's bad for you but that's what we need to fight acne...I have been battling cystic acne my whole pregnancy and it's not pretty my little girl has stolen all my beauty...I use aveeno foam wash because it only has a 0.5 salicylic in it and I also put aloe Vera on my face. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I use Neutrogena oil free face wash with acne free benzoid spot cream on my face but my back is a lost cause. I combine sallycilic acid treatments with benzoid so it kills a ton.

332929 tn?1210075868 Hi, I do understand your concern. For some women, they may present with rash or acne on their faces during pregnancy. Hormones may play a role here. I suggest that you follow your physician's advice and stop the medications. If the rash is being treated as acne, then stop these medications as most acne medications are contraindicated in pregnancy. I understand you are jus planning to be pregnant but even topical medications get absorbed by the skin and stays in the blood.
Avatar f tn It comes with wash day cream and night cream great for acne skin. Also safe to use, remember to change your pillow cased frequently too it helps from reinfecting your face with old oil and dirt :) my glytone kit lasted me 9 months and cleared up my hormonal acne I had in 2 months, at first it was bad but now it's totally gone.
4565515 tn?1373411085 So in addition to the stomach problems of the past two weeks I've developed acne! I NEVER get acne and I don't know why I've started breaking out! I'm not stressed, I get plenty of sleep, NOTHING in my life has changed! So what's up? I take hormonal birth control it's called Apri. I switched to it two or so years ago because my other bc pills were causing acne, but it cleared right up when I started Apri.
Avatar f tn Hello I am only 4 weeks pregnant...and my acne is painful and nasty. What did you guys use to get rid of them? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Is there a better solution to this? Maybe a natural scrub/cream?! Also does it get any better or worse the more pregnant I get?
