I am a young female with PCOS. The initial complaint that I brought to my doctor was experiencing hair growth on my face, excess hair growth on my arms/legs/bikini, and hair loss on my head. I've since begun laser hair removal on my face and arms, but I am about 4 treatments in (24 wks) and am not noticing results. It is becoming more and more difficult to hold my head high- many days I don't even want to be seen in public.

I lost a probably about 45% but luckily it thinned all over. the only part I had to hide was a receding hair line in the front (Like my dad has) So I didn't put my hair up and just combed long hair over for a while. Usually it is hormone related, so if you aren't taking birth control it may also be genetic. Do the women in your family have a similar problem?

I have always had irregular periods and I have somewhat excessive facial hair growth that has gotten worse in the past few years.
