Prior to tx, I had chronic sinus/bronchitis infections, oral candida, yeast infections, and was on numerous steroid inhalers, steroids for asthma, and antibodics.Since being on tx, the oral candida and vaginal yeast infections are almost back-to-back (in mouth or down there).MD confirmed ALOT of vaginal yeast.I requested a blood test for candida in the bloodstream, but doc refused, saying it was the interferon making me feel so terrible.
I have been HSV2 positive for 14 years but a series of other problems began about 2 years ago. First areas on the head of my penis began to turn white, maybe chronic yeast infection? Now after having unprotected sex I have small blister like lesions on the head of my penis that form circles about 1/16 of an inch around. Doctors give me ointments but that keeps coming back. Some say thats herpes but I know my body and breakouts. It's not herpes. Related...unrelated...any ideas?
Your gonna think this sounds crazy, but as some of these infections can be very difficult to cure, I found something very easy.Sit down, YOGURT.ORGANIC YOGURT. My probiotics were so out of whack, the drugs the doctors prescribe, just did not cut it. Eat a small amount every day for awhile and I hope you have the success I have had.
I've read that some males have had success with monistant (which is used for female yeast infections). You can also put baby powder down there to try and keep it dry.
I can only wonder if the cipro killed the good bacteria and hence caused some kind of fungal infection? While the tiny bumps on my glans do not seem to look like the pictures I've seen of yeast infections, I wonder if it could be the early stages of it. I have kind of a general ache in the head of my penis.
5 days later I developed an itch on the tip of my penis, and I also found very tiny little white spots (size of a pin head) on the insides of my foreskin. I had a burning sensation while urinating as well. The first doctor I met said it was herpes and gave me zovirax 800 for 7 days. I noticed the white raised spots didn't change in size. So I consulted a urologist who said that it is a fungal infection and gave me medicines for 21 days, and then betadine solution to be used on the glans.
I am fine with that, but after twenty four hours, there is not any noticeable recession of the red areas, nor is the discharge going away. I guess my question is this. Based on pictures I have seem of male yeast infections, this looks quite like one. Do you feel that I have one, and would that account for the yellowish / white substance (which is odorless by the way)?
I once had a "yeast infection", that I have now come to believe was a herpes outbreak. However, my "yeast infection" differed from other yeast infections I've had in the past in a couple of significant ways. First, it was *painful*. It started while I was on my period, and inserting a tampon was absolutely excruciating.
The Biokit is a good test though no test is perfect. Yeast (or fungal infections) can make the penis look red and raw and sometimes, there are sores associated with this called satellite lesions, that can sometimes mimic a herpes infection. I'm not clear why the antifungal infection medicine isn't working yet, but I would advise that you give it more time. Are you saying that it has made no impact at all on the rash, or it just isn't getting any better?
What are the odds of the blood test being wrong for herpes, and what is the likelihood of this being a yeast related infection that was heightened by a response to the elimite? Please help. I almost feel that the people at the clinic are aloof and I feel very alone in my quest for answers. THANK YOU!
Have you been checked for diabetes? One of the symptoms of diabetes is reocurring yeast infections. I do feel for you. I get about one a year and that's enough to put me over the edge. I hope you are able to get it taken care of.
i've done that twice and it has been the only thing that has helped my symptoms besides using a ton of lotrimin. i also have a yellowish film on my tongue that looks like yeast infection pictures i've seen online. because of two negatives and my symptoms could it be a yeast infection and not herpes? i don't know if i should do the test again or what. i'm still a little worried.
I'm a little confused as to what the sores were from, but now that I think they could've been a side affect of the first prescription, or of the UTI, or a yeast infection (common for me and after taking a prescription).
Or should I worry about greater things like cancer? I have pictures of my current condition but I have no way of attaching them. If you email me, or provide me with an email, I would happily supply them. Please help. I almost feel that the people at the clinic are aloof and I feel very alone in my quest for answers. THANK YOU!
I don't itch or anything, and I've never had odd colored discharge so what I've been trying to do is find the mildest form of a yeast infection and observe it as that might be what I have- the only problem is that I can not find a resource like that. I've also done research on STDs and NONE of them look similar to what I have, but I have the same problem as before- I want to see them in the lowest degree possible to see if I might be in the beginning stages.
Is my penis ruined? Can it be fixed? I look on the internet and see pictures of penis's with male yeast infection and they look alot like mine with the blisters and peeling, redness, etc, not to mention a picture of a Urethra with yeast built up in it looks alot like BXO scare tissue built up in a urethra. Not one of the BXO pictures I have seen looks like my penis or symptoms! Can someone please help me?
I view a thread post from 2009 of a similar instance of a yeast infection associated with sore wondering if it was actually herpes. I guess my questions are: can this be something other than herpes? Can a yeast infection have caused the sore? could this be something else entirely?
, but nothing that looked like what I've seen before. Can boys get yeast infections aside from diaper rashes? He is potty trained, so doesn't wear diapers anymore. Also, if it is yeast, is it contagious? I've had them before, but I knew enough to wash my hands continually, etc. Help! Also..any ideas on relieving itch would be greatly appreciated.
Just Red skin that is a bit itchy and sore and looks like a yeast infection from pictures I've seen. I also get testicle pain and the skin on my sack is red and my doctor said it is the yeast/skin problem I have. My doctor said it probably is a yeast infection or skin problem that needs to be adressed by a specialist. And that I might have more yeast in my body than I should. My ex had no STD's she was checked for them. Her mom made a doctor test her for them.

It seems like a bit of a coincidence that spots would show up/his painful urination after I had a yeast infection. 6. What are the signs and symptoms of a penile yeast infection?
They didn't do a urine screening on you too? If not they really should've done one. At this point waiting for your test results is all you can do. The cream you were prescribed was inappropriate unless they saw yeast when they examined your vaginal secretions and if that was the case, they should've prescibed a yeast treatment along with the external cream.
i have read the information on balanoposthitis and saw some pictures online. My penis head doesnt look anything like pictures shown. I am using monistat on the tip of my penis. It helps with the irritation. So far it look like a normal penis. If i dont use the monistat cream on it, the head of the penis would build up this thin layer of milky like coating within same day.
I tested negative for all STD's, Did not take an HIV or HPS test at the time, I did test negative for HIV in Oct of 2007 and I have only had 4 sexual partners in the last year-two of which I know are HIV negative and the one most recent wouldn't shop up anyway, I Have an autoimmune disorder called Vitiligo-which the doctor said makes me more susceptible to yeast infections if my partner has them, My partner did have a yeast at the time during September, She swears that she doesn't have Herpes,
I do quite often get bad cases of thrush and am on the pill which makes me prone to them. Maybe bacterial vaginosis? I've seen pictures of herpes symptoms and mine looked nothing like that, they weren't blisters, more like tears in the skin. 2) If not, then is it likely that I have HSV1 or HSV2? I've heard that HSV1 is less aggressive, less likely to recurr and less easily transmitted, is this right?
i went to walk-in clinic yesterday and the doctor said i have a yeast infection, and a uti as well a lot of inflamed raw areas/lesions. she did say it was odd that the cuts were all lined up - and i am thus waiting for results for any stis aka herpes which i should get within the next few days. my partner and i never talked about past relationships/ sexual experience before we had sex.. hedonistic, i know.
I think I used a vagisil type product last time (for yeast infections) and am currently using clotrimazole though I've only been applying for a few days. So I guess my question is does this sound like a male yeast infection? If so, is there a reason they reoccur? Any other cream that would help make the "outbreak" go away quicker? Any help is appreciated. I can't really find pictures of what it looks like online.
I am also an avid soccer player , I tend to sweat even when it is cold out lOL. Anyways, click on my name and view my pictures of my chest, back and shoulders and let me know what you think. I have fair skin and the spots showed up out of no where one day. I would describe them as skin clouds. They itch a little bit when I my body gets hot. If the pictures are clear enough, the spots are mostly on my upper chest, around my neck, random spots on my back and on my obliques.
She said it looked like a yeast infection, which I must agree as I saw one picture of a penis with similar little red dots which mine had initially and the same sort of redding on the tip on other infected penis pictures. She prescribed canisten which is a cream for vaginal thrush. It seemed 2 help it but it didnt rid me of the infection. Now Im stuck and really want my penis back to normal!
