Yeast infection in lungs

Common Questions and Answers about Yeast infection in lungs

yeast-infection

My wife and I got married in January, we havent had sex in, well without pain, in 1 1/2 years. A previous doctor couldnt pick up a yeast infection. Kept telling her the pain she's been having down there was because she was "raw." I wont get into that and the pain i'd like to deliver to that doctor's face. But anyway, we have seen a specialist in Hershey PA twice over the last 2 months. He prescribed Spornox, Itraconozale...spelling on both?
Blood culture cause i think it is bacterial infection. Urine culture cause my doctor want to see if there are bacteria growing in 2 days. Both of them are negative, 4 doctors told me I took all of those STD. How about the spit test? do doctors believe with this test? I just thinking of my white phlegm and excessive gas, I have a phlegm cause there is foreign microorganism in my lungs? and excessive gas because the fungi when eat sugar they produce Co2?
Never had one of those before. Does this happen? In fact, I have only ever had about 4 yeast infections in my life and they were all over 20 years ago. This is soooooooo aggravating and frustrating and painful and itchy and I really don't know what to do. I am taking Fluconazole (150mg) and I have a 1% Hydrocortisone Canestan cream...sound right? Thanks for any info and insight!
Recently I was diagnosed as having a yeast infection on my buttock crack by my GP and Dermotologist. At the same time, my allergist found a yeast infection in my mouth, throat and possible lungs and ordered a chest X-Ray. The chest X-Ray suggested a small mass in my left lower lobe which was undefined and she then asked for a CT scan which affirmed the existence of that undefined mass.

Scarring in lung. This may be due to previous job or infection something that occurred to cause some scarring. It may or may not cause you any trouble. They don't treat this. 3. Platelike atelectasis: This is a section of the lung that has collapsed most likely near the nodule. If you can breath ok then there is not a problem if you are having trouble breathing they may give you or have given you oxygen. 4.
I have been coughing but just to get the nasal fluid out of my lungs (It is yellow not green so ther is not an infection there). I have been extremely fatigued as well. These symptoms appeared 1 week ago. Normally I would just see this as a cold but the front wall of my vagina is unusually bumpy at the bottom. It has swollen up and basically reduced my vaginal opening to 1/3 its usual size. There is no pain in this. Around the outside of the vagina is red, raw and itchy.
This presents as an intensely red rash around the anus, which is usually mistaken for a yeast infection (Candida). However, antifungal medications such as nystatin cream are useless. The rash disappears promptly with oral penicillin or erythromycin treatment. Intertrigo, infection of moist crease areas, is most often due to Candida albicans (yeast) infection. It may however be caused by Group A Streptococcus, as well.
You could also have a fungus or yeast infection in there. You need to get a Dr. to check it out.
I went in for a pelvic exam last week and the thing that scares me the most is I just found out I have a yeast infection (a big symptom of HIV). I got tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea and they came out negative. I plan on calling a place tomorrow to get tested for HIV within a week. Is it going to be accurate? Does it sound like I may have symptoms of acute HIV infection?
I am a 52 year old, white male with a history of bronchitis since my teens, bacterial and yeast infections in my lungs and one bout of pneumonia. My worse medical problem happened in 1997 with an acute case of Cellulitis in the inner folds of my buttocks which hospitalized me for a week and surgery. From 1997 to 2007, I had two bouts of yeast in the lungs and pneumonia.
asthma and other lung diseases or a disease that affects how your body fights infection) These are general guidelines, meant to be taken in the whole context of your health history by your doctor. Conditions that increase the risk of bacterial infection including the complication of pneumonia include the elderly or those with heart and lung disease. Another helpful reference includes the American College of Physicians, Annals of Internal Medicine, 20 March 2001, Volume 134, Number 6.

When we get it in our girl spot it's called a yeast infection, when orally it's like what babies get - Thrush, Treatment does throw our ph off and many of us do have the same problems. It's bad enough when it feels as if every inch of your skin itches, much less what you are experiencing! So Yes, go see the doc - if it is yeast, they have a one pill product (that's all one takes, 1 pill) and it will balance any other areas that may be off it's ph.
I also read that antibiotics actually aggravate the infection. But my GP doesnt seem too interested in my suggestions. Hope you can shed some light on this.
When this condition occurs the overgrowth is called Candidiasis or a systemic yeast infection. One indication of a systemic yeast infection is oral thrush or a white coated tongue. The toxins that the yeast puts into our system are responsible for the varying conditions that each individual experiences. This overgrowth of yeast, I believe also causes excess phlegm and a host of other problems.
I've had this problem quite a few years back. A doctor explained that when phlegm builds up in my throat and does not go down, that fibers in my throat them push the phlegm upwards until I cough for re-swallow (a-hem). He prescribed a medicine (sorry, I don't recall the name) that causes the fibers in the throat to go numb, which forces the phlegm to only go down. I used this medicine for about a week and the problem was gone. This solution worked for me.
We were thinking Lauren had thrush this weekend and are fighting the ever present vaginal yeast infection. She gets one everytime we're on an antibiotic. Strange thing is, when the regular stuff quit working, the ped doc told us to use Lotrimin which is for fungus. Never put the two together. We're using protopic now with the Hylira. The Hylira (thankfully now generic and cheap) is a goo that you put on twice a day for moisture (no steroids).
I was bitten by a tick nearly 6 years ago. I live in central Florida and was out with some friends adventuring in the forests that surround central Florida. The next morning I woke up and there was a small black tick attached to my upper leg right where the leg meets the groin. Knowing nothing about Ticks at the time I just removed it (probably incorrectly) and went on with my life. For the next few months to nearly a year after the tick bite would continue to itch.

I just went to the gynocologist in sept. i had a serious yeast infection-she gave me medicine and then it reappeared and she called the same thing in again, which i don't believe has came back. Well i have been having shooting pains in my legs on and off but the past 2 weeks it has just about been constant sharp pains lasting a couple of seconds. I experienced acid reflux a couple of days ago for the 1st time. I have pains in the abdomen mostly my left side of addomen.
Finally, some patients have doctors who have diagnosed a yeast infection in the gut, which cause the smell which comes out through the sinuses or breath, and prescribed Fluconazole 150mg. This looks somewhat promising, but Fluconazole must be administered by a doctor at any rate. Here is the Medhelp thread for that: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Respiratory-Disorders/Bad-smell-coming-from-noseFound-a-Cure-Yayyyy/show/520721 http://www.medhelp.
Everything is so different when pregnant. I had a yeast infection and didn't even know it because I had no burning or itching like I always have in the past.
Hi, blood usually comes in vomiting in case of reflux, blood with cough is mainly from lungs but as your investigations suggest no pathology better just relax and keep taking anti acid reflux treatment for at least couple of weeks.Have you ever had black stool or pain in upper addomen.
I also experience these weird pains in my head that come for about a second and then go and come back again every 10minutes or so. These pains are in 1 area in the back of my head in about a 1 square inch area.. Any ideas???

Because she has had such a lot of antibiotics, like newoutlook12 mentions, she may have a yeast infection. If she has a sore bottom this could be a yeast infection and the doctor would be able to prescribe a specific cream to treat that. If you notice she has any white marks or patches in her mouth that could be a yeast infection and the doctor would be able to prescribe a specific mouth gel for that.
I check my temp when I get these episodes and its perfectly normal. I do not have a infection or am not sick. Im not even in a cold environment. Everyone around me is not cold. Its the weirdest thing, and I cant find a answer for it. Its like my body is messed up and sending these chills for no reason. Please help.
After being on augmentin for upper respitory, I developed what I thought was a yeast infection. I hadn't had one in years. Got monistat over the counter, seemed to work. Then a week later it seemed to come back. Terrible itch and inflammation. Went to the gyno and he said strep B. I am 53, stopped having my periods 3 years ago, married. He gave me some type of vaginal cream which made it worse. Went back again to be retested. Not so much itchiness, but burning sensation.
