I currently have a yeast infection I was diagnosed with about a month and a half ago, I have tried over the counter treatments and prescribed diflucan and the infection persists. I am unable to find any relief, I have subsequently tried home remedies as well to find a cure and no such luck. I am very scared as many of the articles I have read said that persistant yeast infection can be the first sign to diagnosing HIV.
Several months ago I developed what I believed to be a penile yeast infection. Symptoms included a white discharge, itchyness, red bumps usually only when itchy, soreness in the foreskin. Keeping it clean and dry and avoiding sex seems to help clear it up but seems to return quickly after. This has seemed to cause Balanitis which also seems to shrink the foreskin resulting in tears on it while pulling it back cause its so dry.
I been having yeast infection on and off and haven't been treating it cause it only last a day or two. Now I have a yeast infection and it last over 2 days. I need to call my doctor tm sap.
Does it hurt when u have sex?? If so sounds like a yeast infection..your doc can test u and give you meds..also they have over the counter meds as the pharmacist.
t know about any home remedies, but you could pick up an over the counter Vagisil screening kit. The kit can indicate whether you have a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or something more serious in which you would need to see the doctor for. As far as the home pregnancy test, I'd try again using first morning urine if you haven't already. Hope this helps until you can get in to see the doctor.
It never fails every time I get put on to antibiotics I get a yeast infection. So as I'm about to start a round of penicillin I was wondering if there are any home remedies I can try as I'd rather avoid medicating that part of my body at the moment. I will of course eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice while I take them. However, that never really helps me prevent a yeast infection. So any ideas for after the fact?
u must get checked. if your positive that's a yeast infection, then there is so many ways to eliminate it. i used to have yeast infection before, i tried using natural remedies such as yogurt and such but it didn't worked. so i went to the local drugstore and get myself a garlic oil capsules/softgel. it really works for me and it also kills odor around the vaginal area.
i know a thing or two about yeast infections but as for the redness around the vulva thats new to me. it could be due to an infection coming from the yeast infection or probably due to other factors in her life. the best i can offer is to try and keep clean that area and to make sure she does not wear clothes that are too restraining in the crotch region, she needs to let it breath alittle down there and wear cotton undies. comfort and clean is the way to go.
I have done a lot of internet research and I am still confused... I have been having recurrent yeast infections for the past 8 months (about once a month) and I noticed that the very first time I ever got it it was very painful and itchy, but as its progressed over the past 7 months, they have decreased in severity and intensity. I have one right now and its not very itchy at all, just the usual discharge which also isn't very much.

Sex was impossible and I went to the doctor. They said it was a yeast infection gave me Diflucan and sent me home. It didn't go away so I went back to the doctor I was diagnosed again with a yeast infection and this time a bacterial infection I got another diflucan and some teraconazole cream and went home.
Hmmm, this could be anything from a bacterial infection to an STD you need to see a doctor asap to have this diagnosed.
well your going to just have to tell your my mom about it so u guys can go to a doctor to see if its a yeast infection. but if u want some home remedies if u try not to eating anything with yeast & eat some yogurt with no sugar or fruit.
ve been diagnosed with bv, then a yeast infection, then another yeast infection, then both a yeast infection and bv at the same time, then another yeast infection. I cannot afford to keep going back to the doctor. I just can't afford it anymore. The symptoms have never, not once, let up. I've changed my diet. I've changed my lifestyle. Wow! Here I am toteing the benefits of an anti-inflamatory diet, and I never knew tomatoes were not recommended on this diet. I haven't found anything one way or another on tomatoes, but it is NOT on the list of recommended veggies. It is not on the list of foods to avoid either....but. Needless to say...I eat a lot of tomatoes.
Okay I know that we have all been asking just about the same questions but can someone answer mine? I had a yeast infection and when I used the seven day monistat, it didn't clear it up so I went to the doctor. She took some tests to make sure I didn't have anything else and prescribed me the pill that gets rid of yeast infections that one can take instead of the over the counter product.
Is there any home remedies that are safe in pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection? I have already had it twice ans took that one day pill form of it. Just found out its listed as category c so that kind of annoyed me how my dr just acted like it was completely safe. I also really dont want to shoot medicine up there because it just sounds really difficult... any suggestions??
Dont wait... i did that before it got worst. Go to the ER or L&D tell them you have a very bad yeast infection. They'll do a pap to make sure its just that and not a UTI give u meds... and send u on your way.
m not clear on why you are on this diet, but as mentioned above I went on mine because of a bad systemic yeast infection, so there was some die off like with Lyme and I felt pretty cruddy at first. Part of fighting the yeast is changing my body pH (acid vs alkaline balance) from acid toward alkaline. Proteins push pH the wrong way, toward acid, so I have to make up for it by restricting other things ... like no vinegar on salads.
