I never got back to "normal" but good enough to work and function, but now the past few weeks I have had so much pressure in my head, neck, and shoulders that all I can do is lay on the couch.

I never had issues with headaches but still get them as normally as I used to. The only side effect I have from topamax is the tingling in the toes sometimes, and the suppressed feeling that I don't want to smoke anymore or eat as much anymore. Junk food makes me feel sick. My doctor said it has that receptor to trick that part of your mind. Sorry if you thought I was upset. I'm not, I just was showing you that they're are people who do use it to lose weight.
Does it interfere with, or increase, the action of magnesium? Calcium leaches out magnesium. What I can say that using Tums or Rolaids for calcium, if that's what it's about, is not a good source, since you're mainly suppressing stomach acid, which shouldn't be done for very long. If it's calcium you need for this, a better form of it should be found. But nerves more often involve magnesium, which is in balance with calcium, so that might be an angle to pursue.
Hi and so very sorry you are having all this trouble. I have a migraine variant that in my 20's just gave me vomiting and no headache. It only came on at night. They gave me Klonopin and I haven' t had that since. But I don't recommend Klonopin for the vertigo. So, then I started getting the migraine headaches and aura in my 30's and took Imitrex and that worked some for the migraine headaches. Only this last year and a half I started getting double vision then severe vertigo.
My concern is, what is causing my TSH to crash low? Is this normal to bring someone down from 375 mcg. down to 200 mcg. in such a short time? My doctor doesn't care how I feel and he doesn't believe in Armour or Cytomel or any other thyroid med. I already have a hard enough time with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis and depression (among other things). I'm in chronic pain. I'm already in a fog mentally.

t exersice anymore like I used to since the neck pain and migrianes but I used to b in very good shape and do cross fit training. The weight gain is bothering me so much I'm in non stop tears about it! My dr has been ignoring my calls. Iv called three days in a row 4 voicemails, 5 times speaking to staff leaving messages asking just how to tapper off propranolol.it also was causing scary chest pain in my heart.
This could be my body reacting to what is left of the Topiramate. I went and got some magnesium pills today. I eat three meals a day and drink plenty of water and no sodas.
I have a question. Are drugs in the benzo family ever used to treat seizures? As in Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, etc?
I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. I started realizing I got less of my sensory and motor seizures which have always been uncontrollable since I started getting them back in 2000.
t help you if your taking medication for your seizures due to me having a relative that has them. It is not safe do to take both birth control and Topiramate due to them mixing up. Topiramate would make the birth control less useful , so it'll be just a regular pill your taking, it won't protect you due to the Topiramate.

Seems no matter what med I'm prescribed for my Trigeminal Neuralgia, all of them cause a rash/severe itching that has landed me in the ER.
Later Topiramate and Baclofen, all have caused a rash for the last 18 months.
Is there anything I can do?

Thursday my female 10 lb. 2 year old Japanes chin was lethargic and not eating. She was givin Reglan and Pepcid at the clinic. Friday still lethargic not eating and had a fever. Friday she had blood work and xrays. Everything was normal except slightly anemic. Also a questionable gas pattern and a dark area in the stomach on xray. was given fluids, baytril injection, and ampicillan injection. Went home with bayrtil prescribed once a day and probiotic, still on pepcid.
My 15 year old daughter was started on topiramate for migraines, 25mg at bedtime. She has only taken 2 doses and is already complaining of feeling like she is in a "fog", is having trouble recalling names and certain words, and feels like her brain is moving very slowly. Her pupils are also dilated. Her doctor said that these are "normal" side effects and "should" go away in a few weeks.
