Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting blood medications

vomiting

Avatar f tn I just did some research on elevated CGT levels and this has to do with the liver, from what I'm reading. Since you do not drink it's saying this may be caused from certain medications. Are you on any medications?
Avatar f tn So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!

Avatar m tn she needs to tell her doctor so he can give her zophran or something similar for the nausea, it sounds like she may be going anemic, so the best thing to do is call the doctor and see what is going on, the incevik can cause severe anemia as I tanked like at week 2 and my hgb stayed in low 8s the whole time I was on incevik. I had a blood transfusion last Mon and that was 2 weeks after I finished incevik.. Get her to the doc that way you all can keep on top of it...
Avatar n tn ve also not heard of long-term vomiting from Amiodorone (maybe someone else on the form has.) What other medications is she taking right now? What does her cardiologist or primary care physician say about this vomiting? I think she needs to have some tests to figure out what is causing this and what to do to remedy the problem. They may want her to see a gastroenterologist/digestive specialist for an evaluation.
Avatar f tn Yes that's the answer both medications together causes blood in urine ....
Avatar m tn Hey, I went to the doctor about constant fatigue and he ordered a full blood test. Results show very low Vitamin D (33.3mol/L) and high Vitamin B12 (856ng/L). So he's given me Vitamin D supplements to take.
Avatar f tn I agree about waiting - the meds aren't going to do any good if he vomits it back up again. However, some medications it's not good to miss a dose, so you may want to call your pharmacist and just get their opinion - they should also be able to tell you what you might be able to give him to settle his stomach that won't interfere with his other meds.

Avatar f tn When I take codeine it causes nausea and vomiting. Does that mean that I am allergic or is that a side effect? I have only had codeine in cough medications. I am having surgery in the near future. What are the derivatives of codeine that I should not be prescribed for pain? I recently had dental surgery and was given demerol for the pain. I did not find it to be be very effective.
Avatar n tn Vomiting blood can be serious. Blood can come from not only the stomach but also from the esophagus and the reasons for the presence of that blood can be due to a number of different conditions. Each condition may have to be treated differently. You need to make sure where that blood is coming from - have the scope done.
Avatar m tn If the child is vomiting, antipyretics (fever reducing medications) can be given in suppository form, rectally. Make sure of proper installation and proper dosage. There are also prescription suppository medications for vomiting. Once the child stops vomiting, attempt to give fluids orally, in small sips and portions so as not to cause vomiting again. This is an attempt to prevent dehydration.
