Im gonna end up going threw horrible withdrawl soon and Im scared to death. Im on Methadone and Vicodin and He just Cut me off after one test comming back Negitive and I dont understand how it could. He called me a lyer and told me to never come back to his office. But there is no other Pain clinic in the area. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE RESULTS TO COME BACK NEGITIVE when I TAKE THE MEDS????
Don't worry about the silly test. If it's a urine test the medications will show up in your urine, especially the methadone. It has a very long half life. Please reconsider the way you are taking your medication and be honest with your self and the doctors. You will be much better off in the short and long run. good luck.
I took a urine test at my doctors as i do once a month to re4ceive my precription of oxycodone, an naproxen for my bad hip problem do to installing carpet and flooring for 31 years. problem is they said i tested positive for methadone. wich ive never taken although i did take a sip of cough syrup that said on the label prometh /vc codeine syrup could this be mistaken for methadone. i had the normal oxycodone in my system.
m on methadone and at the end of the visit my dr told me I had to do a urine test. So he wrote me my scripts and then on my way out I had to go pee in the cup, then I paid and left. So what I'm asking is if something was wrong with my test would they call me back that same day or even the next day to come in and discuss it or would he discuss it with me at my next visit?

There is a drug called Bentyl (Dicycloverine) prescribed for IBS that can potentially cause a false positive. There may be others too. It also depends on how good the lab is that is doing the testing. Sometimes there's sloppy work or cross-contamination, particularly in the 'collection' phase.

They can tell the urine is either old or not yours if they test it with the right test. You may get past this okay - but it won't be with your urine. I doubt that med help would like it if I tried to tell you how to beat the test................
Anyhow I go bi-monthly in December they gave me a urine test. The only things I took was my Methadone which they prescribe me and 3-4 days back took a 30mg roxy and a 1mg xanex which is not prescribed to me.
So took the oxy on Thursday & the Xanex on Friday or Saturday and my urine test at the pain management was the following Monday.
After all the years i've always seen my Dr.
percocet on 9/8 and did a drug screening at work on 9/21 and it came back positive is this possible? I also did another instant urine on 9/23 and that came back negative. Can the drug company be wrong? Which results are right. Also took Ibeprophen 500 & amoxacillan on 9/11. Someone please give me some good news my job of 18 yrs. depends on it.
Urine test will tend to be longer, but not by much. I did some further reading for you and consulting other colleagues. Benzos CAN show up in the urine for as long as 6 weeks after chronic, prolonged use, but no longer then 48 hours in blood.
Methadone will only show for 24 hours in blood and no longer then 3 days in urine after last dose. So I think someone may be not quite truthful with you. I feel bad for her kids. You can send her to detox at my clinic.
All patients at the office I was going too had to have their test results sent to lab. on a monthly basis. Not until peoples ins. refused to pay for these did that stop. No need for them unless your tox screen comes up positive for something that you are not suppose to have in your system. This test will show up everything in your system including the amounts taken.
I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago, except my urine tested negative for both of the opiates that I'm prescribed (methadone and oxycodone). My doctor stated that the urine cup that I used must have been defective, and that was the end of it, lucky for me (I did offer to give another sample, which the doctor declined to accept, maybe due to the cost of the "instant result" test cup?).
had urine test that showed WBC(5-9), trace leukocytes and >100000 mixed gram positive flora. What exactly is mixed gram positive flora, gram positive bacteria? also did not do clean catch, I also had routine blood test and when trying o give urine sample the blood was dripping down my are, had to set cup down to clean arm, and did not do midstream. results said probable contamination, why is this?
