Avatar n tn I think possibliy you mean ovarian cysts instead of ovarian fibriods as fibriods are assoicated with the Uterus and ovarian cysts are associated with the ovaries.
Avatar f tn t cause any symptoms. In fact, corpus luteum cysts appear toward the end of the menstrual cycle, last into early pregnancy, and then usually resolve over a period of time without any special treatment.
Avatar m tn Hello, What you may be having is a simple ovarian cyst. They are common in child bearing age. Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own and a simple ovarian cyst less than 6 cm goes away on its own usually by 12 months. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Last month I went to the er because of the pain in my side. At the er they told me I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. and to followup with the gyno. I went to see the gyno and he was very rude told me that my cyst was only 2.3cm and not big enough to cause pain, and that I needed to see a gastro. I saw the gastro and since I lost my mom this year to colon cancer, he ordered a ct scan.
367100 tn?1330914725 I had them before i got pregnant and i now have a small pregnancy cysts on my right ovary. The pregnancy cysts are nothing to worry about and should go at some point so my doctor said they sometimes get bigger or smaller but they are quite common when you are pregnant. Please read the info i found on the net for you:- Many women go for a routine ultrasound or pelvic examination early in their pregnancy and come away with the surprise finding of an ovarian cyst.
Avatar m tn I am sorry to hear about your fiancee. It is hard to deal with cysts. Ovarian cysts are very common and many women get them again and again throughout their lifetime. I am not sure why her doctors are advising her to wait so long to conceive. She should ask them the reason. Usually, ovarian cysts are removed without cutting into the uterus. So, having a vaginal birth is not considered risky if you have only had a pelvic surgery and not a uterine cut.
Avatar f tn My sister has had ovarian cysts after having 4 babies over 10 years. It was a year ago when she has the cysts removed. Her dr. is having her checked again because she hasn't had a period in 5 months. She had her tubes tied so she can't get pregnant.

Avatar f tn I'm about a week late, today I took a test. It come up with one really dark line and the other is really faint. I've been having server pains in my ovaries (I have ovarian cysts). Does anyone know what the pain is from and is that test a negative?
Avatar f tn If there is a necklace of cysts this is a clear sign of pcos. Treatment for pcos is in tablet form or you can have surgery to blast the cysts. Treatment is effective so don't worry, but you do run the risk of a multiple pregnancy. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I know the CA125 test is more useful in assessing the efficacy of ovarian cancer treatment than diagnosing ovarian cancer. Some sites don't even mention the AFP test for ovarian cancer but for other cancers, specifically, liver, testicular, brain, mediastinum, blood. With your family history of ovarian cancer, have you considered genetic (BRCA1, BRCA2) testing?
Avatar f tn William Parker who uses organ-sparing procedures says that post-menopausal ovarian cysts are more common than many realize and MOST of these cysts are benign (just as they are in premenopausal women) and do not require removal of ovary(ies) IF you have the right doctor.
1813956 tn?1316715823 I'm assuming you are pregnant if posting on this board. When you ovulate, your ovary releases an egg and once the egg is fertilized and implants, that follicle sustains the pregnancy by releasing hormones until the 2nd trimester where the placenta picks up. What can happen is the follicle (the corpus luteum) can fill with fluid or blood and become enlarged (cyst), this is very common in early pregnancy.
Avatar f tn t believe your dr gave you clomid if you hae pcos.
Avatar n tn Just as most ovarian cysts are benign so are most para-ovarian cysts. From what I have read, they don't usually need intervention / surgery. They look for the presence of free fluid (in the pelvis) as one of the traits that may be indicative of cancer. The fact that there is "no free fluid" is good. Hopefully, your doctor will explain this to you.
Avatar n tn It depends on the nature of your cysts as to what treatment would be required and what effect they might have on you. I would suggest using precautions to prevent pregnancy at this stage (if you are not pregnant) until you have had your surgery.
Avatar f tn I went and got a CT scan of my Abdomen and Pelvis, and my doctor said I have a 6mm cyst on my liver and cysts in my ovaries and tubes and I should have the ovaries and tubes removed. I read the report and it says cannot see clearly enough but there is "Enhancement" in POSSIBLY my Ovaries, right larger then left. There small amount of pelvic fluid, and could be other etiologies( disease?) My questions are, WHAT IS ENHANCEMENT, can it mean a tumor?
Avatar n tn Follicles are a normal part of ovulation. You don't have any info in your profile. How old are you? What symptoms are you having? What tests have you had? Sorry but we need more information in order to help you out here.
654396 tn?1237508912 1) ovarian cysts are pretty common during the early stages of pregnancy and in the vast majority of cases are benign. Cysts usually "go away" on after a few weeks but if the dont, the doctor might consider options but only if the cysts are large (usually 5-6 cm) or cause you pain 2) its possible, but there are other reasons for multiple cysts too 3) it would be unlikely, but not impossible 4) not sure about this one. When is your next doctors appointment?

Avatar n tn m having surgery for Dec 6th, the ovarian cysts, and an ectopic pregnancy-both of which I had surgery for years ago. The ovarian cyst would not be protruding to the outside there has to be some sort of weakness in the lining, or the area for that to happen generally seen with a hernia, and your puking episodes could have caused enough straining to cause it. The ovaries are deeper inside, the cysts do cause a lot of pain, but do not protrude to the outside.
Avatar n tn Common things being common, fibroids, which are benign muscle growths of the wall of the uterus, can give you pain and heavy bleeding. Ovarian cysts can be related to ovulation, or benign growths, endometriosis and so on. To sort that out, usually repeat scans are obtained over 3 to 6 months to see dynamically how the cysts come and go. Depending on your age, birth contorl pills are commonly tried to control heavy bleeding and pain.
1785925 tn?1314927242 i definitely had a injury, haha. a few of my friends have said it could be ovarian cysts. what are those tho? i have a lot of stress. :/ and im enjoying not having a period haha.
Avatar f tn I am a 26 year old white female. I had a complete molar pregnancy the beginning of last year. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and endometrosis when I was 15 years old and placed on birth control. I have had 5 surgeries to remove the cysts, some measuring anywhere from 1x2 to 6x8 inches. Over the past two years the cysts have been getting worse, they are coming more frequently and more painfully.
