I feel really good that i am not the only one in the thyroid ride who sees those weird re-occurring symptoms . Do you think white tongue even you brush you tongue and it came back again it could be thrush or yeast infection . Is it common in thyroid to get yeast infection and i also have bad smell in mouth .
I main complain in fatigue and muscles/joint pain.
Please every one share your story to help me come out from this on going anxiety.
The next day i feel tied on my neck n feel a bit swollen till now . Is my neck cause by that gum problems. idun really have a sore throat but some jaw pain. N i keep having ulcers n red spots on theedge of my tongue. I went to doc n they say no lymph nodes.
Hello, I finally got the doctors to give my mom steroids and it seems to be working the swelling is going down but her tongue is still out of her mouth I concluded that she is unable to control the muscles in her tongue, i'm still researching, I will keep you updated, I pray for a speedy recovery for your grandfather.
I am 23years old man. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and my armpit for around 1 year and a half. And now, I start developing black spot on my legs and my tongue is always white with a few red spots at the edge of the tongue. My last exposure to a woman was in 25th January 2010 and I used to take HIV test twice since that time too. the first one was in 14th June 2010 and the result was "negative" and another one was in 20th July 2010 abd the result was also "negative".
Hello it is possible you could have somehow pulled a muscle in your tongue. The tongue has a lot of different muscles in it. I did some research and a few people had similar problems, some happened when yawning, some when screaming etc.
There was very little offered in ways of relieving the pain unfortunately, but one person said when she would lean her head back and pushed her chin upward and forward it helped relieve her pain.
s ever had mast cell activation disorder resulting in an extremely swollen tongue. If so, has any treatment helped? This girl also has severe POTS/dysautonomia and lots of other symptoms - migraine, gait problems, pupil dilation, dystonia, gastroparesis, breathing problems, seizures. She has been told she doesn't have chiari but has not been seen by any true chiari specialists that I know of. I am urging her to contact mine. She hasn't had an upright mri either.
I haven't had a swollen tongue either, but I don't think that HepC is gender conscious.lol
People just have different symptoms, like I have swollen hands, some ppl don't. Some ppl itch, and some don't.
About a year ago I began waking up about 4 or 5 AM with a swollen tongue. After spending time in the emergency ward receiving injection and steroids my tongue became normal. It was believed to be caused by my BP medicine which at that time was Lisinopril which I had been taking for 20 years. Since January I have gone through 4 or 5 different families of BP medicine, but still have the problem. I am currently recording all my food in a diary hoping to find some connection.

I'm in no way a doctor or an expert but it definitely sounds like anxiety. I had the same issues you are going through. You start noticing things about your body that you never even knew existed. Like your tongue for instance. it's not swollen it's just now you are focusing on your tongue and the more you concentrate on something when you do have an anxiety disorder, the more you start noticing it's there.
Two months later my tongue is not better, my sore throat has gotten worse where my lymph nodes are swollen and my neck muscles are sore. I am not getting proper rest because my neck muscles are sore, I feel like I have an earache and I have frequent headaches. For two weeks now I have been having cramps, I figured because I was getting my period. I finished my period a couple days ago and I am still feeling a bit discomfort by my lower stomach area.
I thought to feel lymph nodes in legs and feet were swollen, but not sure. No neck, throat or groin nodes swollen, only very painful spots just above collar bones, deep inside. My elbow tendons (I hope not lymph nodes) were aching. I had no fever and the sore throat I already have for a long time seems to get a little worse which I bravely sprayed with disinfectant spray and gargling salt water.

All my symptoms are now gone other than my tongue which is patchy and feels as though it is burnt, the patchy areas seem as though they are bald and it is mainly the centre of the tongue that looks like this. My throat and soft palate is still red and tonsils look swollen (definitely not as much as before and they arent painful) but throat feels dry and almost scratchy.
It has been 9 months now and I still have all the symptoms, white tongue, muscles ache, head ache, slight sore throat, but I never got a rash or fever, nor swollen lymph nodes. But, when I first went through my symptoms I did break out in zits all over my arms and noticed sun spots on my arms and hands.
Regarding your muscle fluttering, which I will assume are twitches, these may be due to benign fasciculation syndrome, which I will abbreviate as BFS, a condition in which there are involuntary twitches of various muscle groups, most commonly the legs but also the face, arms, eyes, and tongue. These may be related to anxiety/stress, caffeine, and often occur after recent strenuous activity or muscle over-use.
I recently bought a couple boxes of Eggland's Best Organic Eggs...I was eating them regularly for a few days and I noticed that my tongue was getting swollen...It freaked me out [I didn't know it was the eggs, yet]...I pretty much stopped eating [I only had water, some bread and a few veggies]...my tongue almost went back to normal and then I made myself some french toast using the same eggs...5-10 minutes later, my tongue got swollen again...I freaked out...

I am having muscles weakness /joint/bone pain /lack of energy dealing with Hypothyroid for last 2 years . My TSH level check 2 days ago was 1.6, FT4 1.4 , however week before that when i had doctor appointment it was TSH 1.4 and FT4 1.4 as well . I know i feel good at 1.0-1.25 TSH value . I am currently taking 75mcg of synthroid.
I have been noticing some mouth ucler , one on my lips and other one i had under the mouth. Is it pretty common in thyroid .
About 4 weeks ago, I had what I thought was strep throat (very sore swollen throat, a slightly swollen tongue, fever, muscle aches, headache, hoarse voice, difficulty/pain swallowing). I was given antibiotics and felt better for about a week after but now my tongue is bothering me. Also note: I never had strep, I just found out the swab was negative.
Symptoms:
- Swollen tongue, sometimes whole thing, sometimes feels like just the back/base part or just one side.
the other symptom that makes me worry is the twitching in my muscles, in my tongue and pain in my back and arms. I had many appointments with many doctors. I had blood tests, MRI of brain and spinal cord, EKG and all are normal. My vitamins level are too. I am worry if it is AlS with these respiratory and weakness problems but my doctor don't even hear it. He told me that i shouldn't have an EMG because he doesn't see any atrophy.
