708731 tn?1229049180 but you can go the the fda website they alot of info on meds , I was prescribed prozac and I am on levothyroxine /synthroid as well. I dont believe bc interacts with much .. be sure to take your thyroid meds by it self 1hr before food first thing in the am is best! I would wait at least 3 hrs before taking the others.
Avatar n tn I compete in figure bodybuilding and reqularly take creatine, glutamine, whey protein powder, and BCAAs. What effect will synthroid meds have on these supplements and should I continue using them?
1157054 tn?1266094164 CoQ10 is a naturally found in our bodies. We have an abundance of it when we are young. As we age, our bodies become depleted. I myself take this at 30 mgs daily, sometimes 90mgs. I have never heard of any negative affects of taking this with any med. Remember...you can always do searches on drugs and their interactions with herbs and vitamins.....most of the vitamin warnings will only be interference in absorption, so usually recommend taking vitamins a couple of hours away from meds.
Avatar f tn I developed hypothyroidism 7 years ago after having been treated for cancer I can't seem to loose my baby weight gain after having my son 15 months ago.... I want to start taking diet pill Phentermine (30 mg) 1x a day but I'm also going to be taking synthroid 100 mg 1x day is that safe?
Avatar f tn com, they have a good Interactions Checker, and the site is free. We do not have a Data Base to check interactions with all medications.
Avatar f tn I've recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and anemia. My TSH was 7.0 and ferritin was 28. My physician had prescribed me synthroid and Nu-iron. I've been taking it for about 5 weeks now and for the last few days, I've been breaking out in severe hives. I've been trying to monitor my intake but everything but I really believe it is either the synthroid or Iron med.

Avatar n tn I have been taking synthroid 50mcg for about 8 months now. However, for the last month I have been experiencing really bad headaches, have lost 10lbs, very fast heart rate, shortness of breath, very lightheaded (feel very spacy or like I am floating), bouts of nausea and just a general ill feeling. Could these be signs of hyperthyroidism or is this dose to high for me now?
4916735 tn?1360986597 If you are taking some form of Synthroid or replacement hormone for your hypothyroidism, you can take anything. I know of no problems with interactions. I have been hypo for 28 years. Always ask your pharmacist once you have made your choice and that will be your best double check system. Musinex behind the pharmacy counter has 1200 mg of guaifenesin. This is what my doctor always prescribed me until it became Maximum Strength over the counter/behind the counter to get that strength.
Avatar f tn Hi, Would be best to ask your pharmacist what is the best timing for these meds. He/she would know best about possible interactions. Key however is to be consistent with how you take the meds. Best wishes.
Avatar f tn Anyhow, I recently went to see an endocronologist and one of the things he told me was that I would have to stop taking my pre-natal pill because it counter-acts the synthroid. This is very bothersome to me because I am breastfeeding and the vitamin is extremely important for me and my baby. He also stated that the vitamin was actually dangerous for my baby and I.
Avatar n tn I take wellbutrin, prempro and maxide. Will the synthroid be okay to take with these and how long until I feel like myself again. I had the surgery a week ago...
Avatar f tn Other medical/psychiatric conditions I have are hypothyroidism and bi-polar disorder/depression for which I take levothyroxine (Synthroid), divalproex (Depakote) and bupropion (Welbutrin). The medication information for the Medrol dose-pack states cautious use in those with hypothyroidism, psychiatric history, being treated with an anti-convulsant, and on bupropion, as it could produce mood changes and affect the seizure threshold.
492307 tn?1214186739 She started me on 75 mcg of synthroid, and gave me a prescription for Wellbutrin since I was getting worse with my depression by the day. I haven't started the Wellbutrin, but I have been on the 75 mcg for 5 days. I would like to start the Wellbutrin tonight because the synthroid might take to long to kick in if it ever does. Now the REAL question.... Will the Wellbutrin interact with the synthroid?? Plus I was going to switch my synthroid to night...
Avatar f tn I had a left hemithryoidectomy April 01/08 and have been on 75 mcg of Synthroid since. My T4 is still sluggish but my last TSH was 1.6. I am feeling very sluggish, believe it or not, especially approximately 3-4 hours after taking my Synthroid. Maybe it is just a coincidence. I usually take it in the morning. I am wondering when most people take it?
393685 tn?1425812522 I can not find anything to put them together - but never had this been an issue for me prior. Also drug interactions - Acid meds and thyroid - also Xanax. Is there a balance? Could mixing these up be the culpruit? I am trying to find a balance. Diet, exercise and stress relief. Any advice?
Avatar f tn I have had several courses of augmentin for sinus infections over the past year and have not noticed any effect on my thyroid levels. I did, however, feel the prednisone I was taking last summer may have caused a temporary swing in my TSH, but everything was back to normal once I was off the steroids (given to reduce inflamation from the sinus infection). I wouldn't worry about the antibiotics if your doctor decides you need them.
252327 tn?1250183976 I would google synthroid drug interactions and see if that will fly. I have no idea.
