synthroid

492307 tn?1214186739 I had been on Zoloft for 4 yrs. I had read "somewhere" on the internet that Zoloft can affect your thyroid. I did wean VERY slowly. Also I cannot for the life of me (brain fog??) remember my TSH, but my free T4 was .6 and my Dr. said she wanted it at 1.3. To adreilove I have been taking synthroid in the morning, and each day I feel worse. I keep telling myself it's all in my head and I'll feel GREAT the next day, but I just keep getting worse.
Avatar n tn how long should i wait between doses when taking liquid zoloft and synthroid
Avatar n tn Is there anything I should know about how to take my Synthroid, 75 mcg and Zoloft, 150? I would like to know if I should take them separately and if so, how many hours apart?
990510 tn?1249238897 I have hypothyroidism with some increase in throglobulin antibodies. (what ever it is) I was on generic synthroid for 6 months and have been on sythroid for 1 year. I also take zoloft. I am wondering if the zoloft is making my thyroid worse. If so I would like to change it. I have always noticed that is does not do much for my anxiety and I am on a high dose 150 mg. my dose is now at 112 mcg for synthroid and symptoms seem to be worsening. I am frustrated.
Avatar m tn google "drug drug interaction" and you will find options for checking medication interactions....i use one of these sites regularly and some allow you to set up your own medication profiles. good luck!
Avatar f tn I used diagnosed 5 months ago with the "Hypo" as I lovingly refer to it and it's been 5 months of hell. I've been through 2 dr's and on several different doses of Synthroid - oh-- and one trip to the ER. I had a drug interaction my first week with my Zoloft. So, no SSRI for me. I just recently switched to Armour in hopes of having less of side effects.
Avatar f tn I have recently been put on Zoloft and was informed that taking both at the same time could cause stomach bleeding, but my doctor said she would put me on the Zoloft anyway. Is this safe? I normally do not take the naproxen every day but there are times I do take it daily for a week or two when my back is especially inflamed. I would like to continue taking both medications if possible. Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Have been on Zoloft 25mg for 3 weeks new doc wants to put me on abilify 2mg with the Zoloft to see if it makes it work better. What sort of side effects does this cause and is it helpful?
1501613 tn?1289319749 Is it safe to take both? I take the Zoloft during the day and Paxil at night because I noticed it helps me sleep.
Avatar m tn You can switch this around but avoid taking vitamins with synthroid (calcium and iron can interfer with thyroxine absorption) and metformin (can inhibit the absorption of vitamin B12).
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced breathing problems with Zoloft. Youknow, the "I can't quite catch my breath" feeling. And if you yawn you finally get enough air. My heart and lungs have checked out fine. Other than that , I feel much better for since being on it for 2weeks. Also, any thoughts on the sucess of other meds besides zoloft? Prozac? Lexapro?
Avatar f tn I take the synthyroid (complete thyroidectomy Dec 2008) and coumadin (DVT) at the same time and then 1 1/2 hrs later, I take topamax (migraine) and protonix (GERD). Is this enough time between each?
Avatar f tn I take my zoloft and ativan in morning as it me jittery and causes insomnia. I have seasonal allergies and was wondering the best OTC antihistamine would work better. Allegra, Zyrtec or loratadine. I was on 12.5 zoloft for 2 weeks and tapering up to 25 mg (split another 12.5 in half so 3/4 a pill then one whole 25 mg. I have to do this slowly as I am super sensitive to meds. Thanks for any help. Plus I eventually need to taper down my ativan when I level on the zoloft.
Avatar f tn You are correct about there the MAJOR drug interaction between tramadol and sertraline (Zoloft). Please note that there are several moderate drug interactions with your medications, for example, sertraline (Zoloft), pregabalin (Lyrica), clonidine, and methocarbamol (Robaxin) all can increase side effects such dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired thinking and judgment when taken together. It would be a good idea to review your medication regimen with your provider and pharmacist.
Avatar m tn Something that blocks absorption is not the same as something that interacts with Synthroid... Ingredients that block absorption just need to be taken several hours away from the Synthroid, whereas ingredients that interact may need to be avoided completely.
Avatar m tn I also ran an interaction checker on all three, Tramadol, Hydroxyzine and Synthroid, Synthroid produce no interaction with the other two, al though I di get a "Moderate" Interaction on Tramadol and Hydroxyzine as below: MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
Avatar f tn Then my doctor moved and I tried so many trying to get back to normal because I had weaned myself off the Zoloft and also way down in Synthroid. Major Mistake!!! Finally I found a good doc and he wanted to get me on Cymbalta because in my 60s I began to have arthritis symptoms. It helped with that and the depression for a while but then, I lost a job and since I live alone I did not go out or anywhere and sank back into some depression.
Avatar m tn Would I have to gradually add these and take simultaneously with Zoloft? Is it safe to take one or both of these with zoloft? If so, what dosage? Also, is it safe to take zoloft while taking natural harmones ( cream)?
