The symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, low grade fever up to 100 degrees and possible cramps are caused by many things, virus or bacterial. However, the most common cause is a virus called Norovirus. It is spead from person to person by fecal oral contamination.

It could still be a stomach virus, however, it could be a bacteria or even parasite. I recenlty had a stomach virus that lasted about 7-8 days. Have you ever been tested for or diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)? Your headaches could very well be a sign of dehydration - with all the diarrhea, you can get dehydrated pretty quickly. Be sure and stay well hydrated - water, ginger ale, sports type drinks are all good.

ve cleaned everything in the house so I was wondering if it was a stomach virus should I be safe from catching it again by now?

HPV is Human papilloma virus and can cause cervical cancer and H.pylori is Helicobacter pylori can cause stomach or intestinal ulcers which can turn into cancer as well.

just make sure you dont drink after him or kiss him until he has not had a fever for 24 hours without taking medicine and disinfect the pillowcases and sheets you use and spray lysol on any doorknobs, the phone, etc so you dont get sick too. hope this helps and i hope he gets to feeling better!!

This was also puzzling as hell to me but apparently some people (like me I guess) can have their vasovagal nerve stimulated during gastoinstenitis times or times of diarrhea--though I have never once felt faint when having ordinary diarrhea in the past. This diarrhea was associated w/a stomach virus however and I did vomit a couple times early in the sequence...after vomiting it was diarrhea only thereafter. Anyhow if anyone has any insight I'd greatly appreciate it.

( Woke up with a sick little one today and then after lunch started getting any upset stomach headache back ache and having to have frequent regular bowel movements. it started on the first of the month. I got some sort of cold/ fever got up to 103f. I thought that i was getting better after a couple of days, but soon was awakened with a stomach flu in the middle of the night, I'm not throwing up anymore, but still have diarrhea and a very consistent pain in my abdomen, which I'm pretty sure is gas.

It won't hurt to use it, but it probably won't help very much, either. Fever blisters are caused by a herpes virus, and antibiotics don't kill viruses. Antibiotics only kill bacteria. You can put any mild lotion or cream on the blister. Pretty much anything that feels soothing will be okay. If you get fever blisters often, you might want to talk to your doctor about a prescription for something to take that will cut the outbreak short.

Has he any fever, is he throwing up, could be a stomach virus , where is the pain ? If it is he will get diarrhea , if he does leave him without solid food but make sure he gets water and pedilite .Keep an eye on him if he seems worse take him to the doctor for a check up .

Four days later i came down with what seemed like a stomach virus (vomiting, diarhea and fever of 100) that last 24 hours. I know that logically there was little risk, but i am uncomfortable with the fact that i came down with an illness/symptoms so close (4 days) to the sexual encounter. Questions: 1. does ars show within 4 days (some info says after a week or two) 2. does ars last as short as 24 hours (some info says that symptoms last 1-2 weeks) 3. general thoughts.

today i woke up having a very severe fatigue and feeling tired. I started feeling numb and dizzy and had to go to bed for couple of mins. After an hour or so i realized that im getting a fever and my eyes were getting heavy. So i checked my temperature and i had this low grade fever. I started having this weird feeling in my chest few hours after so i decided to go to a walkin clinic. After the doc checked me he said that my chest is clear and i have no infection and he said its a virus.

It is unusual for a stomach virus to cause such a high fever. I would be concerned for a bacterial infection which can be more serious. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

Well turns out I've got a lil stomach bug. Get dehydrated and the contractions hit hard. In the hospital over night running fever. On fluids since 5:45 and rehydrated but still having contractions. However they aren't doing anything for me. My cervix is still totally closed. 38 weeks and miserable.

You may have another virus. I would highly recommend that you seek medical attention right away and especially considering that you are having bad headaches. I hope you will keep us posted. Good luck !

So, it could be the stomach virus. You're still sick even if you inhibit vomiting. Glad that worked for you! The other possibility is that perhaps you had a touch of food poisoning but with your house having a stomach virus, likely you did as well and while the meds you took (don't take someone else's meds, take only what is prescribed by a doctor for you personally)--- stopped vomiting, it doesn't mean you didn't have the virus and other effects of it.
