Is she better? Food allergies in children commonly present as gastrointestinal disorders ( abdominal pain, bloatedness, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation). Is there a strong family history of allergies in the family? Regarding her symptoms: Did she develop the condition rapidly? Was the tuna from the can? Was it washed properly or cooked properly? Is it fresh tuna? Anyone else in the family who presented with same symptoms after taking the tuna?
Also, I feel very light headed, hot and then very cold, and sometimes I get a rash on my arms, legs, and stomach (which has made me think it's a food allergy). These episodes last about 30 mins to an hour and after that I feel fine, other than being tired. I haven't been able to figure out what food is causing me to have these episodes. It's never happened with the same meal twice. Sometimes it has happened after I've eaten leftovers from a dinner I ate the night before with no problems.
I also seem to have moderate to severe pain in upper stomach when all this is happening. It lasted all night after dinner and the next day I seemed to be okay. I bought this salmon from two different stores on different weeks this month; so I assume food poisoning is unlikely. These two times were also the first two times of eating this type of fish. I've eaten tuna and have not experienced this. Could this be some type of food allergy or intolerance?

Having absolutely no idea what could have caused this I began an elimination diet for food allergies, and the best guess I have is that I am allergic to some sort of food additive or dye. I do best (fewest hives) when I consume things I know to be dye and additive free. However, hives will still pop up if I make rough contact with something (like kneeling on the floor).
(No more than 3 a week) I'm wondering if it could be the Claritan causing the stomach problem and anxiety or if it's the allergy itself. Anyone have something similiar, and what do you take?
For approximately a month I have had excruciating stomach pain. I had a baby 5 months ago and had terrible heartburn for the last 2 months of pregnancy and I wondered if it was that that was re-surfacing. I have also had a LOT of stress in the last year and through my pregnancy. However, it got to the point where I was in so much pain I felt winded. I have pain up towards my lungs and in my stomach. It stops me eating etc.
My coeliac disease was diagnosed because I was anaemic and they did a blood test which showed there was a high chance I had it they then performed a gastroscopy and took a biopsy from my intestine which confirmed the diagnosis. The dairy product allergy was diagnosed by cutting it out of my diet for a few days and then trying again. Hope this helps.

Ever since returning from a 2 month stay in Mexico last summer, I have been experiencing stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea in seeming random and unconnected situations. I have been tested many times for different parasites and allergies, I have had small and large bowel follow-throughs and ultrasounds. I am currently waiting to see a GI specialist but I am starting to lose faith in doctors. Recently, I have connected this nausea with certain seafoods.
Anyone ever heard of this? Over the past two years I have gone through 3 major diet changes to try and determine what is causing me so much pain. Severe stomach cramps, joint/muscle pain and muscle weakness, severe dizzyness, chest pain, lightheaded, migraine headaches, hands and feet sting/burn and vision problems. I have been fighting everyone of these on a daily basis. These symptoms seemed to come on almost overnight but as I look back they have just been getting worse as time goes by.
The side-effects of quinine include severe nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea. This does appear like food poisoning which is probably why she thought you had a stomach virus. Do not use quinine to treat any medical condition if your doctor did not prescribe quinine for that condition. Do not purchase quinine on the Internet or from vendors outside of the United States. Using this medication improperly or without the advice of a doctor can result in serious side effects or death.
She also can not have lactaid, or peanut butter, hot dogs, oatmeal, or high fat food. She gets really bad bloatting, horrible diaharea, abdominal pain, and ocasional vomitting from all of these iteams. My husband is allergic to beer...actually it's the hops that the beer is made of. Hubby sneezes sometimes for several hours straight after having a beer...his lungs also fill with fluid from it...he already "died" once from it...yet he continues to drink it...why? I have known many people that are allergic to certain alcoholic beverages and they go through some pretty nasty symptoms. Two of the people I know get very violent if they drink vodka.
I have lost total confidence with my gp practice as previously I have been told I was suffering from a stomach bug to norovirus to which I have not any symptoms at all or suffered from. For my health, I desperately require a proper diagnosis & not guess work a.s.a.p.
doubtful, vicoden and percoset both have APAP, and both are made from the same part of the opium...thebaine.....but it is a possibility, technically...
It is a neat trick to do to be able to get the same amino acids from veggies as you would get from a steak from veggies as simple as rice beans & corn :-) of course eggs are the 'perfect' source of protein & amino acids, that all other food sources are measured by, and if you aren't allergic to eggs, I think 1 egg a day is enough to keep you with the amino acids you need each day.
Have you tried experimenting with his diet to see if it makes any difference? Food intolerances can definitely cause the pain that you're describing - two of the main ones are milk and dairy products and wheat (gluten). Of course, elminating these things from his diet (at least for testing purposes), is not an easy feat, but it's really the only way to determine if what he's going through IS a food allergy or intolerance.
That it wasn't indicative of an allergy. I don't believe an ENT should have said that. It stopped me from bothering to go back to an allergist right away. I saw two allergists. We never thought to test for the metals in the plate. I was told there are too many things it could be and we were at a standstill. One of the allergist seemed to get mad at me because his medications he prescribed were not stopping the symptoms. I felt he was frustrated because he couldn't figure it out.
I have exactly the same thing and it's definitly not a coincidence. Almost exactly an hour after eating pineapple I get a stomach ache. Is it an allergy or just maybe too acidic for me?
I believe the pain is coming from my stomach. I feel it right under the breastbone. I haven't had a gastroscopy, but have had both an upper gi series and a cat scan. Both produced negative results for ulcer, abnormalities etc. I try to minimize my acidic intake to see if that will help, and yes, pepto-bismol definitely helps. I wonder how long it takes to repair damaged stomach lining, from Nsaid overuse??? Any thoughts on that. I am going to try drinking ginger tea to see if that helps..
I started having stomach pain so bad and diarrhea about 10 years ago about the same time I found out I was pregnant with my last child. which basically means your stomach doesn't empty the food out into your intestines and I have had weeks in a row where my stomach wouldn't empty. My doctors diagnosed the cause of my stomach pain from dysautonomia. It really is painful, I feel for him. Try fludrocortisone if he can tolerate it, also, dysautonomia may also cause GERD which further complicates the stomach problems.
But if you want to be SURE you don't get any poison from fruit, simply buy your fruit at an organically grown section in the health food store, they don't use any of that stuff. Another way to eat fruit is, for example, let's say you love a melon with your breakfast. Eat the melon FIRST, and THEN eat your breakfast. This gives your digestive tract time to break down the fruit, before regular food gets in there and slows down the whole process.
Stepped on scale, 120 pounds (lowest weight in 15 years). Horrible stomach distention and pain, No matter what I eat or drink. when I wake up stomach is somewhat flat, but still pudgy. The next morning when I woke up, I felt a slight pain in my stomach, but I thought it was nothing. 30 minutes later, that slight pain was killing me, and I ended up with the worst stomach ache ever, so bad that just breathing made it hurt. I had no idea what the cause was until a week later when I went to Burger King again and got another Whopper, followed by another stomach ache. After that, I never went back there. [b]When I have stomach aches, the pain basically comes and goes.
