I have been cleaning my mouth by gargling hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash...this keeps it from getting worse, but other symptoms are increasing, such as , my lungs are getting tight.

Why is my tongue so sore? I have dry mouth from taking prescriptions and my tongue over a period of time has become very sore and sensitive to salt or pepper or spicy food.
The conditions returned to normal except the dry mouth. Due to the dry mouth, I started to find pus in my mouth and tongue swollen. I did see family doctor, ENT, and dentist and gum specialist, and check my thyroid. All of them could not find any problem with me. I am having the same problems that you had. I know the dry mouth was caused by the aciphex. But do you have the tight throat feeling ? Have you found out the real problem and solution?
It started with a broken tooth that got sore, then the gums, then my cheeks and tongue swelled up nd inside of mt lips, I developed a white sore on the end of my tongue and it split open from top to underneath. Really bad headaches nd now my throat is sore and my lungs are tight. I gargle and brush with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, which keeps it somewhat under control. What do you thinK? Does anybody suffer with an awful taste, and burning sore mouth & gums as a result of thyroid problems on certain days, but not maybe all the time? Only I keep getting it but I'm newly diagnosed with thyroid disease, so I'm not sure if it's related, I think it must be because I never got it before this. I'm also on HRT, which could be causing it, but I doubt it because I've been on it for years with no problems.
Saw my physician regarding my sore tongue. He said to rinse with warm water and salt and use a tongue scraper(bacteria) instead of brushing with toothbrush ,which I have been doing. He said it was most likely caused by too much vigorous brushing of the tongue and all the "whitening" chemicals I had been using that made my tongue sensitive. I stay away from acidic foods. I had a complete series of blood work done and there was no medical reason for it.

A sharp or broken tooth or poorly fitting dentures all can cause sore cheeks. Other causes of sore cheeks are biting your cheek, tongue, or lip, chewing tobacco, burning your mouth from hot food or drinks .Gargle with salt water or cool water. Take pain relievers like acetaminophen. These will provide symptomatic relief. For exact diagnosis get a physical examination done. Do write to me again. Best wishes and kind regards!
Greetings, About two weeks ago I woke up randomly with what felt to be sore, inflamed gums near the first molars on each side of my front 4 incisors. I also noticed that the gums beneath them seem to have receded quickly. I also had several ulcers, one on the roof of my mouth, one under my tongue -- both of which feel as though they've healed up. I had a deep cleaning done a week ago -- the Dentist noticed a significant buildup of calculus on the back of my front incisors.
However, for the past 2, or 2 1/2 weeks, I have been experiencing some oral problems including very sore gums, sore tongue and a bit of soreness inside my cheek and inner lip. My gums are red and a bit swollen and bleed when I brush them and my tongue looks like my taste buds slightly swollen, red and inflamed. The inside of my cheek is likewise red and a bit swollen in places as if I have bitten it while chewing food.
Noticed white bumps on inner bottom lip and then most recently 2-3 tiny painful whit bumps on tip of tongue. STILL inflamed gums, top and bottom. STILL sore throat. What do I have? I've been told by doc I have mild pharyngitis, but this was on day 2 so he didn't see any white bumps in mouth. Tomorrow is last day of medication he prescribed and to me it did NOTHING. Do I have oral herpes? Some virus? What is it?!
Hi, last night I began having a strange type of pain under my tongue on the right side at the base of the mouth - the pain feels similar to a sore throat, but my throat isn't sore. I don't have a fever or swollen lymph glands. Also the pain hasn't gotten worse. I can only feel the pain if I move the tongue up or if I swallow a large amount of food. My throat doesn't have any swelling or redness or whiteness, my voice is still the same, ears are fine and gums are fine.
I see that im getting canker sores and my glands are swollen and painfull all through my neck and under my chin. My gums are sore too. Has anyone gone through this or might they know what it is,....
on sunday morning i woke up to a sore throat and swollen gums around the front of my bottom teeth, my tounge is also sore and its sore underneath my tongue, i had a look this morning in the mirror and i noticed tiny white spots on the tip of my tongue, but my tongue just feels weird, i cant really describe it, but it hurts, i have been to the doctors but he didn't seem to know what it was so he prescribed me antibiotics, vk penacillian.
Underneath my tongue is swollen and red, my inner lower lip and lower gums are also irritated, swollen, red and sore. I can't move my tongue properly to talk or eat, I've been living on soup and yoghurt for 4 days now. It's not like any mouth infection I've had before and I'm in absolute agony, but my dentist didn't seem to be worried at all. Is it really ok?
slightly a bit more relaxed, but still have much anxiety since I know I can't test for HSV for awhile. Yesterday I had soreness INSIDE my mouth on inside of cheek, under tongue and gums (felt like canker sores or like maybe I burned my mouth with hot coffee or something, but could not see any visible evidence, other than a bitten bottom lip). Soreness almost completely gone this morning. Currently: Minor but lingering scratchy throat for over a week now, and persistently dry/chapped lips.
For the past 2 days it has become very painful to brush my teeth. When I am done I look at my gums and they are bruised. At first I thought they were bleeding but they are just bruised and really burn. The day before this started happening I noticed swelling under my tongue. I do not have a sore throat, nor am I sick. I just feel like I have swollen "glands" under my tongue. If there even are glands, I assume their are salivary glands there but not sure what I am looking at.
I also developed a sore throat. On Thursday I got a painful white bump on my tongue. By the end of the day I had two more. It is now Saturday and I have even more bumps. I went to the DR on Thursday. I tested negative for strep. He said it sounded Bacterial and gave me Amoxicillin of which I have now taken 5 doses. The only thing that has gone away is my fever. Motrin and anbesol give me a little relief, but I have been dealing with this since Monday.
It was slowing going away after about 5-6 weeks. Now that it is gone, i have stinging or burning in my gums and tongue. My tongue feels like it has been burned by something hot. This has been going on for about 5 weeks. my mouth and tongue look normal. i went to 3 doctors. blood work was fine. They think maybe an irritation to mouthwash or toothpaste. i stopped using mouthwash about the time this stuff started. I use a gentle toothpaste now.
you are doing a great service. about two weeks ago, i noticed a white bump in my mouth on the inside of my gum, along with my gums starting to bleed much easier than they had been. In fact, even when i bit down on a banana, they bled once, although i admit that this has happened before, but not recently). Well, i went to the dentist, and she said that the bump looked like a bony tori and that my gums were looking better than they had in the past.
I had bad sores in the corners of my lips at the beginning of tx and for a few weeks after finishing tx. Believe it or not, Vagisil dabbed onto it did wonders. I also had really sore gums and tongue. It killed me to brush my teeth but never found a solution for that.
