Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know.
I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.
t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms)

oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.
The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.
Anyone know anything about skelaxin? My doc just sent a script for that To my pharmacy in place of soma....
i think my boyfriend has become an addict and i believe he is snorting the pain killers or maybe the antidepressants he is on. what are some things to look for. he is always broke, super emotional and takes vicodin for knee pain, clonapin for whatever and lexapro, vistiril. I am thinking of leaving we have a two year old and i want to know if what i believe is true i need to know if my sone is safe.
I'm so afraid that you can catch HIV from sharing snorting gear. I did it twice with people and I'm scared to death. There is not a lot of info about it on the internet. I called the CDC and they said that it was low risk. Does anybody have an opinion? Should I keep getting tested?
I have had some kind of cold/flu, sinusitis (all in one) for about three weeks. Finally I went to the doctor she prescribes antibiotics, anticough medicine etc. I also developed somehow a muscle spams around my neck aparently due to excesive coughing. The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help.
As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
Felt bump and determined was musculoskeletal. Prescribed anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) and muscle relaxer (Skelaxin). Told me to take as needed (didn’t have to take the full bottle). Took prescriptions for 4 days, Skelaxin caused stomach cramping even when taken as directed. Urine test came back cloudy with high white blood cell count. Concluded was very dehydrated and sent off for tests to determine if infection was present. Also had me go in for blood tests.
this i a ggod thing for me and i know the first step is to kick the snorting habit, it isnt the percs i know its the snorting. anybody out there who has had to quite the snorting? well im going to!!!!! this time is the last time! i want to thank everyone who has posted to me over the last month and you all have helped me get this far. wish me well i know i can beat this addiction.
I was snorting drugs with people that probably have hep c. by having them sit at me house and if they left one of their snorting tools around my house, could the virus go from the snorting tools them to me or from enviornmental surfaces to me because i have been picking and blowing my nose a lot after they were here and i have blew out blood in my nose and picked out blood, my nose is raw. So basically from enviornmental surfaces to my blood. I am so scared. Also, when should i test?
Ive been snorting pills and the pain is awful. How can I stop while easing the pain. The only relief is snorting another pill. PLEASE help me!!

I was wondering what are the short/long term effects of them doing the pill via snorting it. I know it will enter the blood stream quicker but wanted to know what other long term effects I should look out for.
I did plenty of snorting. Methadone, adderall, morphine, oxys, all of them I guess. It's just like taking them orally. You will need more and more, or stronger meds. You are walking on a path that will lead you into much more pain than physical, trust me. Opiates only work for a while, then it's time to find another answer. I don't know what will work for you, but snorting opiates is not it. What's the plan when the snorting doesn't work, iv?

I am just a bit confused---is the pain in your nose from snorting or do you have pain and you are snorting to relieve it? Not that it really matters but I am just trying to understand where you are at and if the pain is from something else we can recommend and suggest things that have worked for us, i.e. alternative pain treatments.
I have a friend who has been crushing oxycodone #15 mg and #30 mg pills and snorting them.... I suggested just puting them into a cup of coffee but she insists on doing them that way. Are there any health risks involved in snorting the pills?
Note: they are small pills with no Tylanol in them....
if u r snorting pills then in all reality u r an addict..pain or no pain...r u snorting them to releive the pain faster as it is unbearable or to feel the buzz faster? i was at 80-100 mg a day of hydro for chronic pain/ddd/never snorted but i am an addict as i abused them and "had" to have them to make it thru the day...snorting is major addict behavior and there is just no getting around it...
I believe I increased my oxy dose for the simple fact that i became addicted to snorting. I would already be feeling the oxy but i enjoyed the process of snorting so much that i would just keep going and going..i can honestly say that it was all mind over matter when it came to stopping..so convinve yourself how bad of a habit that is..because it really is..and i think you can do it. snorting will make your w.ds worse because your body becomes used to that extreme rush..so stop now while u can.
