Avatar m tn my right front tooth has been sensitive to cold, it has also been sensitive to cold air, when i would be outside and i would breath in heavly my tooth will get very sensitive. i have braces on top and bottom teeth (dont no if that could be a factor). i got my braces tightened 3 days ago and the sensitivity started this morning. i was thinking it could also be that my teeth have been moving around. i really dont want a cavity on one of my front teeth.
6903444 tn?1385943346 I had an orthodontist appt two days ago where they took off all my old brackets and put brand new ones back on. Not only that, but they also put brackets on my very back teeth on the top and bottom. It's like I am having to start all over again with braces because it hurts so bad. The new brackets in the back are digging into the sides of my mouth on the too so wax has been my best friend but I'm all out and don't wanna get out because it's so windy!
Avatar f tn Okay I have braces and I'm 8 weeks and a couple days but my teeth have been hurting lately I'm not sure if its just my teeth moving to get straight or if its because I'm pregnant ? Do I have to take them off during my pregnancy ?
Avatar n tn I started with a spring in the front to push the surrounding teeth out to make room for it, then moved to a powerchain and metal ligature, now back to a spring becuase the latter didn't work. The teeth there are VERY sensitive to pressure, I'm assuming from them moving...I can't bite into things...and adjustments so far have been quite painful DURING the adjustment, the pushing on the teeth hurts...
Avatar m tn Eight years is an unusually long time to have braces, so taking very good care of your teeth while the braces were on is imperative. A foul odor usually means there is decay but it can also be caused by plaque or food caught between the gum and tooth causing the swelling...and this needs to be addressed. A cavity and a rotting tooth ARE the same thing. You need to stop using mouthwash so much...using it this often can create problems instead of helping.
Avatar f tn So i had this receptive blwojob from this girl who had braces on her upper teeth. she was quite inexperienced so i could feel her teeth and was afraid it would cut into my penis. After the bbbj, i had like this ache on the penis where the teeth "ground it" i guess. looked for any "abraisons or cuts" and didn't see any obvious just one red spot but looks like it's been there long. What are the risks? The sex was of course protected.
Avatar n tn m not an orthodontist, but I can tell you a few things as an adult who just finished having braces...Yes, teeth can be crooked after taking the braces off, especially when patients aren't compliant about following through with the retainment plan set out by the orthodontist, but even then there are some cases where teeth move back into their crooked position. There are lots of pros to braces.
Avatar f tn Probably gingivitis but more sensitive teeth and gums are common in pregnancy. Just stay on top of your dental hygiene and you should be fine.
Avatar n tn We were told that there were also teeth missing and that applying the braces would fill in the gaps. Now 2 teeth are trying to come in between the teeth that have been pulled together by the braces, and the doctor wants to extract them now. We were told these teeth were genetically missing. I think the braces were applied to early, before all her teeth had a chance to grow in. I can upload the exray.
Avatar f tn Braces are useful to straighten crooked, crowded or protruding teeth, close gaps between teeth and correct the bite of the teeth. It is a prolonged treatment. It may take 18 months to 2 years. A visit to the orthodontist may be required every four to six weekly. You should take extra care with the braces since there is a tendency for food to get trapped and plaque formation. Do discuss all your concerns with your dentist before placement of braces. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar m tn I had braces at a relatively older age than most people in my early 40s. The dentist warned me at that point that if I was to get braces then he couldn't guarantee the strength of my teeth in the future (older age) and said I might have complications. I read braces were allowed at any age, but why did he warn me at that time? I'm 58 now and my teeth are a bit crooked and I've lost several teeth as well.
Avatar n tn One of the reputed dental specialist in a dentistry clinic in Ajax has whom I had consulted recommended me to wear braces which can lead my teeth properly aligned. I’m totally unaware of this procedure. Which one is the most preferable - the invisalign or traditional braces? Can anyone share their experience who has got braces?
Avatar f tn I'm getting my braces off June 8 and im really nervous! Does it hurt? How long does it take to take out a full set?
Avatar n tn Yeah I did! I broke rules with out breaking anything!
Avatar m tn I'm 17 and was wondering if I should get braces based on the picture, or is there anyway to get bigger teeth, my two front central incisor or front two teeth seem bigger in proportion to the rest of my top front teeth, I'm fine with my bottom, I'm just wondering if I should get braces, try to get bigger teeth somehow, or anything in general. Always looking to improve my teeth so any tips are helpful!
232921 tn?1224471661 I, too, have been suffering with sores in my mouth and very sensitive teeth since I started tx. Brushing my teeth burns my mouth, I hate it, and that is using sensodyne toothpaste. I have never had problems with my teeth before this. Anyway, as with many of the sx, during and after tx, here is hoping that they go away soon.
Avatar f tn Your teeth are bending ? You can go for a check up and discuss your options with your dentist , braces or other options .
Avatar m tn I have braces and my teeth look yellow with white streaks all overs them. They are almost a transparent color and i am very upset by this. I brush 2 times a day but its just not enough.. Please help me fix this problem before my braces come off and i am horified. What can i do to fix this problem?
Avatar f tn So I've always had a tooth gap. I'm 19. I just noticed my tooth gap closed and there's a little pressure. I'm not sure if it can close naturally, I've never had any braces or anything. I do grind my teeth while I'm asleep and always have if that has any factor. I've also had all my wisdom teeth removed.
Avatar n tn t know what you do about the frontal teeth because sealing is mainly done for the back teeth. The front teeth may now be an available option too. If you go for a check-up, I'm sure the dentist can give you many helpful hints on ways to prevent cavities while wearing braces. I think my husband's problem was he wasn't a good brusher while wearing his. I'm just proud we had the sealing done on my son's teeth.
Avatar m tn Apparently none of the were that deep according to my dentist, however my teeth are still extremely sensitive and the sensitivity causes my mouth to ache resulting in migrains and jaw pain. I know that my fillings are not too high because my bite is not interupted. Is this just my mouth recovering from multiple fillings and somthing that will go away on its own or is this some kind of infection developing?
Avatar f tn anybody elves teeth moved while being pregnant, I have a big gap between my front teeth now that happened when I was 20 weeks and I can feel them moving again now 31 weeks, I had braces as a kid and now I need to ask for them again I look awful
Avatar f tn i m 18 years old and i want to get my teeth straightened... does havin braces hv any side effect in long term?? i hv overlappin teeth.. will i hv to extract my teeth?? does this have any side effect..
Avatar f tn Hello, Thanks for your reply! I thought I would get an email when my question had been answered, otherwise I would have replied sooner. Since I posted this, the pain moved from my first molar to my second. Two days of pain in the first tooth, then about two days in the second. A complete transfer or pain as well, no lingering discomfort in the original spot. Am I right to think that the problem was not localised to any one individual tooth? A bit of background, if it helps.
