My neuro put me on Ritalin for this bone crushing fatigue a week ago. I realize some medicines take a while to get into your system before they actually work and some medicines are fast acting and you get immediate results. The Ritalin has made me slightly more mentally aware, but I am still bone tired. Should I give it more time or call him and tell him it isn't working?

I know that they give adderol and ritalin for fatigue and concentration,which by the way are both schedule II class drugs. although they are both very effective for fatigue brain fog due to tx.but they have a very high abuse potential and in texas,where I live an MD can have a class v through class III schedule license, but in order to write for class II substances he must apply and be granted a special license to write for class a II substance.

Before i few days i complete my Ayurveda treatment for my Chronic Fatigue problem and i feel too much good and healthy. It soulds like you could still have lyme disease. It can cause all your symptoms and chronic fatigue. Lyme can be misdiagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome.

I put off taking it due to the high cost and thought the Ritalin would be so much cheaper. He said the Ritalin takes out the good things and is to addictive.

I (28 year old male) have been dealing with various health issues since November 2013. I had some intense worries over STDs at the end of last year which turned out to be unfounded but caused a lot of stress. Following this, in January, I had an infection that gave me stomach pains which I assumed to be a bacterial or viral issue. Funny-- I just had a discussion about chronic fatigue syndrome with a colleague only yesterday. Unfortunately we both agreed that we don't know where the science is at this point. I remember CFS from 10 yrs ago or so, when the diagnosis seemed to be more talked-about; I don't know if we are any more enlightened about the disorder now, but back then it was thought to be caused in some people by chronic infection with the epstein barr virus, which causes mononucleosis.
