Avatar m tn I could only have 2 kids but longed for more. Four would have been a good number for me. I love kids and while they are overwhelming, if you love parenting and caregiving, children can be a true blessing. Don't know if that helps answer your question or not.
Avatar n tn I have copied this out for you, it happens quite frequently While there are uncommon serious causes of passing out in children, the majority of fainting episodes are brought about by reasons that are neither serious nor life-threatening. The most common reason for fainting in children is called vasovagal syncope [VAY-so-VAY-gull SEENK-oh-pee). Vasovagal syncope is an abnormal reaction of the nerves to otherwise normal circumstances. These nerves dictate the heart rate and blood pressure.
Avatar f tn So i was at the store today, and out of no where i started feeling nauseous and clammy. And then it was like i was in a tunnel and couldnt hear or see anything clearly. Avatar n tn Cold chills can come from having the flu, or perhaps in your case with the fainting, could be something as simple as you not having enough protein to eat on a regular basis. Protein is like the wood in a fire, it burns and heats up a person. And if you ain't got no fire, you'll get cold. In addition, protein gives you energy, and if you don't have any, you can get pretty weak and light-headed. But there are many reasons why this happened to you, those are just my top two choices.

Avatar n tn Hi there, I am a 36 year old single woman who has always suffered from severely painful periods that sometimes include fainting. Just yesterday it happened again. This time though, it came suddenly. No pain, no warning. I AM due to get my period but haven't gotten it yet. But, yesterday i had a sudden fainting spell followed by about 20 minutes of torturous pain. I am not on birth control and have not have kids yet... I have made an appt. with both my gyno and doctor. What is up with me?
Avatar f tn s often a good time to seek the help of a new doctor in terms of switching your care to someone else entirely or going for a second opinion. There are a number of reasons why this could be happening and a full physical as well as mental health evaluation is important. Avatar f tn My last fainting was Dec 2007 when I had cramps when I was asleep. My first symptom for mvp is being lightheaded and the feeling that I will faint anytime. My doctor said that it was because of my mvp and also anxiety. Today, I don't feel fainting spells so often. But still, I am not comfortable being alone and definitely not confident going out without companion.
Avatar m tn Over the past 3 months I'd say, I have had fainting episodes twice now. The first time I had fainted, I had no clue it was going to happen when I woke up. I had got dressed, went to my bus stop and went to school. I had got my lunch feeling fine, went to class and begun eating. Before I could even finish my stomach was killing me, it felt kind of empty and generally uncomfortable.

At the time, the only symptom of any thyroid issues was that he was falling off of the growth chart his doctor has. My son is asian and adopted, so it is difficult for me to know if this was a real problem or not.
Avatar f tn The medications typically work the opposite way it is intended to in kids. These medications were created for adult psych disorders. You can ask the new doc after you start seeing him, but I would wonder if that may be some of your problem now. The medications started at such a young age may have affected you emotionally, which is why it is important to manage these meds with someone who knows a lot about them. You may need a totally different approach with meds. Very best of luck...
Avatar f tn So a few times in the past it had happened that I've smoked and ended up fainting. Every time I hadn't had a regular food diet that day, was very tired, etc. Usually when it strats to happen I get very light-headed then I feel woozy - then I faint. Last night the same thing started to happen, however I started to feel as if I could not breath at all, I went outside for air and my body really felt like it was on fire. My neck and my scalp especially.
Avatar f tn this is one of those times i can honestly say i wish i were you. Bear in mind pro athletes and people that are in fantastic shape have an incredibly low pulse rate....Lance Armstrongs pulse rate is in the upper 30's!!!!!! Your pulse rate is supposed to rocket up at the end of your work out or run and as your body cools it will drop in a series of patterns and groupings until you are back within your normal limits for your own body. You cannot compare your stats with others....
Avatar m tn t usually successful, and the valve tends to narrow again even after initial success. For these reasons, doctors rarely use balloon valvuloplasty today to treat aortic valve stenosis in adults, except in patients who are too sick to undergo surgery (may provide a few years of relief without much risk!).

Avatar m tn Her eyes are often irritated and again the doctor can find no reasons for this. I would be greatful if anyone could at least point me in the right direction or ask me questions. I need to know is there anyway she can avoid this. She had a glass of wine the night before but the doctor does not believe this to be a cause. Any help would be appreciated.
