Talk to your Dr. or call the nurse. There are some safe during pregnancy, what is the brand name of your med, sounds like Prilosec, but not sure with the name in front. Anyway, my Dr. had me take Ranitidine, or Zantac, it helped a ton. Good luck.
What can i take? Any of you ladies have a list of what meds we can take while pregnant?
I am experiencing upper abdominal pain, a feeling of fullness/bloating yet hunger at the same time, my upper abdomen and throat are very sensitive to the touch (the slightest pressure will make me gag), I've been vomiting and have again begun to lose weight. What course of treatment can I take while pregnant? Last time I was prescribed Pepcid, but I hesitate to over-medicate myself out of fear for the safety of the fetus. Also, how can I know if it's caused by h.
Did you take reglan while pregnant? That's what scares me is the unknown effects on an unborn baby...
It started as a strange feeling in my left side whenever my daughter would kick me while I was pregnant. Ever since she has been born the feeling has been more painful and has more symptoms with it but no diagnosis. My stomach gets very sore on my left, lower side and it sometimes feels like a pressure or pulsing.it also sometimes feels like something cold is leaking down my left side after I drink something cold.
), cardiac bloodwork normal, chest x-ray presumably normal (doctor didn't comment on it). Now, I've been diagnosed with SVT (6 years ago while pregnant with my younger son) and mitral valve prolapse (1 leaflet) with mild regurgitation. I had an echo about 2 months ago that showed the MVP/R plus enlarged atria, mild LVT, trace tricuspid regurgitation, mild pulmonic insufficiency and high pressure in the RV. Ejection rate normal.
it is off and on but I know I am not pregnant! I have been clean over 3weeks and this just started last week...I went out to dinner and had seafood nachos and have been throwing up ever since...this is the first time I have had the throwing up but have been nauseated off and on for over a week...anyone else had this after WDs were over?
I woke up this morning, and attempted to drink some water but while the water was going down, and for a few seconds after words I felt as if my throat was having slight contractions. (which caused the lump feeling in my throat. Like it was closing up.) Now I have this lump feeling in my throat again, and I'm not able to eat, or drink anything because it feels extremely uncomfortable like I'm going to choke. Any suggestions? What could this be?
got to the point again where am too scared to eat. Went to my GP the other day he prescribed me Ranitidine once a day - as i am pregnant have to be careful what i take - did not do a single thing, problems still there, so went back to him two days later and explained everything and how miserable it is making me, and he prescribed me 20mg of omeprazole once a day for four weeks.
I am 11 weeks pregnant and I started having hives a month ago. My OBGYN sent me to see a dermatologist that specializes in pregnancy and she said that there is not much they can do for hives since they usually go away on their own. She did say that hives can be caused by an underlying infection so if anyone has been sick I would suggest having lab done to look at your white blood cell count.
i took 2 a night when i was pregnant with my daughter and didn't have barely any heartburn. in the case that tums dosen't work, like when i was pregnant with my son the doc told me to take, i think it was zantac, but the doc can write u a precribtion for it. your baby is probably gonna have lots of hair.

Then she went on to tell me how she has known women to undergo chemo while pregnant and the baby turn out fine. That made me feel better, but I wanted to know if any of you have have any knowledge about anti-inflamatories and pregnancy. I don't have a lot of time to look anything up right now. Also can heart burn cause severe chest pains??
) Now I'm on a combo of Zyrtec 10 mg. twice daily along with Ranitidine 300 mg. at night. Controls angioedema, but hives are daily. Endo. put me on 50 mcg. to see if it does anything for the hives down the road. I'm hoping for some relief. Could the high thyroid antibodies really be causing my hives? I'm also suffering from hair loss the past two weeks -- even before going on the Synthroid.
I have had the hiccups for 22mos. Started when I was 12 weeks pregnant and they haven't gone away. I've seen a Respirologist, Neurologist and a Gastroenterologist...no one has an answer for me. I am desperate!! If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. These hiccups occur every day every 3-5 seconds. NO JOKE! P.S. A teaspoon of sugar, holding my breath or all those other "cures" do not work!

Is it OK to take Tagamet while pregnant? Thanks for your help. Dear JAL, It is difficult to state with certainty whether or not your symptoms are related to discontinuation of Tagamet, pregnancy, foods you might have eaten during this period of time, food poisoning or a viral illness. If your symptoms return upon discontinuation of the drug and resolve with restarting the drug, it would suggest that cimetidine (Tagamet) seems to be controlling your symptoms.
I was Dx with Graves in Jan. this year. Found the forum sortly after, while looking up info. on Graves disease. All have been very responsive to my questions. This is very warm place to be.
Have had excess acid issues off and on for 11 yrs (was on pantaloc for a while) which was mostly a nervous/nauseaus feeling stomach and mainly in the morning. When I got pregnant with my 2nd child my symptoms got worse and was on ranitidine, but it didn't really help the belching and heart burn. Still, didn't get the burn more than once a week for a few years and now for the last year I have been getting heartburn anywhere from 0 to 6 times a week.
I feel like I am falling apart and my husband desperately wants children soon (as do I) but not when I am sick. i don't want to be dependant on drugs while I am trying to fall pregnant. Any suggestions to investigate?
1) What might be the causes of this condition? 2) Why might it have come on so suddenly? 3) Should we be investigating an underlying cause? 4) Aside from medication, what else should I be doing to treat this? 5) What alternative / complimentary treatment options should I be seeking (i.e. acupuncture, chiropractic, nutrition, exercises, etc.)? 6) Who are the experts in this field? 7) Who are the best specialists? 8) Who is conducting research into this?
be it at night while we sleep or incidentally, during the day (remember there's only a valve separating the esophagus from the trachea and acid can slip down the wrong passage into our tracheas). Once that happens, there is irritation/inflammation that happens in the trachea, producing that "choking/pressure" feeling! I'd really entertain the idea of a med for controlling acid.

The researchers used statistical techniques to focus solely on B12 levels and factor out the role of folic acid, a nutrient known to help prevent pregnant women from birthing babies with neural tube defects. The study authors noted that B12 and folate are jointly linked to several key biochemical reactions, but that a lack of either B12 or folate increased the risk of a neural tube defect.
