Anyone use ranitidinewhilepregnant? I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.
There shouldn't be a problem with taking the rantinadine while pregnant. my doctor let me take it at 150mg sometimes twice a day throughout my whole pregnancy.

Wow...that's awful! While I never had a reaction like Freddie's....I do believe Ranitidine made me persistently nauseous for an entire year straight. I've had GERD, a hiatal hernia and stomach problems for years. After a long stint with Nexium, I decided to get on a non-PPI and something more minor. Ranitidine was the suggestion. Though I've always struggled with nausea here and there....for a year of my life I struggled with nausea constantly. Almost every single day.
My RE and my OB both said I could take Zantac 150 - - didn't want me to take Pepto Bismol (b/c it has aspirin in it) or Prilosec OTC (it's a category C).

Xanex isnt safe to just abrumptly stop, but isnt safe to take whilepregnant. There are safe alternatives to take whilepregnant. I cant remember the name of the med they gave me to take instead of xanex but there are options.
