protein in urine first trimester

At my last midwife appt at 36wks I had protein in my urine but normal bp. I also get pain in my bladder when baby moves like a sharp shooting pain, but no other symtoms. Is it a urine infection or something else? Has anyone else had a urine infection in the third trimester? The midwife sent a urine sample to be tested but havnt had the results yet.

ve been showing a lot of protein in my urine, the first time it was 2+ and the the pat two times it was 3+ the last one was just today at my drs. My Dr is concerned because my actual urine analysis showed no signs of infections or illness at all besides this ton of protein always in my urine.

Hey, I had protein in my urine with my last pregnancy n had to do the 24 hr urine. Come to find out I had preeclampsia. This pregnancy they found a trace of protein n I had to do the 24 hr urine n blood work but I didn't have preeclampsia this pregnancy.

I had high protein 2 weeks ago. Tested again this week and it was normal. Most women test high at some point in pregnancy, doesn't mean anything unless you get more than one in a row. I hadn't eaten much 2 weeks ago, that was probably the reason it was high for me. Dehydration can be another reason. Odds are you have nothing to worry about, just take it as it comes. I feel like i had it undiagnosed with my first and have been worrying about getting it this time. Then with protein in my urine im getting even more worried. Any insite?

I had high BP and had to do a 24 hour urine test and came back with protein in my urine. As long as the protein is not accompanied by high BP or swelling, you're good. :) I'm actually being induced on the 14th at 37 weeks because of Pre E. I was diagnosed with it at 32 weeks and have been closely monitored since then.

Hi, When was the first time that you were diagnosed with diabetes? Are you taking any medications for the diabetes? Proteinuria may need further assessment. Were casts present in the urine? Are there RBC's in the urine significant enough for a hematuria ( >5 /hpf)? You may need blood tests to determine serum creatinine and BUN levels. Your glomerular filtration rate has to be ascertained. Discuss this with your physician and keep us posted regarding his advice.

So I went to the hospital the other night and they told me there was 30 mg of protein in my urine. Is that a lot?? I had to do the 24 hour pee test and they are checking me for pre eclampsia.
