Avatar f tn how long can i take a hormone medicine,,,i am worry about my breast, my hormone is premarin This discussion is related to Fibroanoma.
Avatar f tn I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy soon. The doctor wants to take my ovaries. My mom and both of her sisters have had hysterectomy's. My mother and 1 aunt had early onset of Alzheimers. both took premarin. I have read and studied that HRT's like premarin have a high risk of dementia and heart disease? since my dad had heart disease and most of his siblings and family have had heart problems I am worried. I have Endometrosis and also prolapsed Uteris.
778044 tn?1299542934 Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.
Avatar n tn I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.
691935 tn?1421027090 All of which (except for the ear ringing at a lower sound) just happened with stopping the premarin. Can anyone tell me how long I can expect these symptoms or if there are any natural supplements on the market that are safe?
Avatar f tn I finally convinced my gp doctor to check my hormone levels and according to the nurse they came back normal. My gp doctor had already prescribed Premarin for me to take at .3mg. daily. I have not had a hysterectomy. He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes.
2176548 tn?1340677817 Anyone who has been on Lupron, Premarin and Medroxy ever experience sore breasts and increase in breast size? My boobs have gotten bigger and are like constantly sore!!! Hurts to take off my bra!! Please help!!!
Avatar f tn Very recently I had a sudden severe dizzy spell that did not last long but, scared me so that I was afraid to go to sleep. I have noticed some joint swelling and extreme aching. Is it possible that this is a Lupus flare up!
Avatar n tn t know what do you think? Also I did not get a chance to ask the doctor how long should I take the progesterone? I know it is a good balance with the estrogen but will this be safe considering I don't have a uterus?
Avatar f tn I am concerned that they gave you a hyster just for non cancerous cysts. Are you going to the same Gynecologist? Try looking into Bio-Identical hormones to treat the hormones a lot of women have great success with this, however your doctor has to send you to a place that prescribes it and a pharmacy has to compound it. It is natural. Premarin is not good for people that have previously or have Endo.
Avatar f tn Do I need to continue taking Premarin .0625 or can I discontinue since I am past meopause age.
1194973 tn?1385503904 Well I talked to the doctors about it today and they said they wanted me to use it to help prevent scar tissue and for my uterus to heal a little more quickly. She said they put me on the lowest dose available to prevent any harm happening. (Apparently what's in birth control is 3x higher than what they put me on) I was also told it's my choice if I want to use it or not and if I choose not to we'll see how it goes and take it from there.
Avatar f tn ve heard of other cases where women will do fine on a certain HRT and then it just stops working or being as effective. Do you take it at night? If so, try switching to the morning. I would think dose timing would be more of an issue with a straight estradiol product than Premarin but that would be worth trying if you take it at night. Are you also taking something to protect your uterus or did you have a hysterectomy? Some women find that using some progesterone can help with sleep.
Avatar n tn I'm not entirely certain as it seems to be for menopause. What circumstances surround your prolonged period? Is it breakthrough bleeding from missing a pill or taking a pill late? Did it just randomly happen? Does your doctor suspect you are pre-menopausal? (I have no idea of your age, so it's worth asking. My mom had really long periods when she was pre-menopausal.
Avatar f tn Thanks--I am really new to this and didn't know even how to go about it! My Ob/Gyn is really 95% OB and just hands out preprinted scips for Premarin if you even say "menoupause" and if they don't work, he just tells you to "ride it out". So i need to find a GYN who can really test ME, as one side doesn't fit all, I'm learning. Good luck to you! (I have never even heard of a compounding pharmacy!!
Avatar f tn doc advice me to use both clotrimazole vaginal gel and conjugated estrogens csd vaginal cream (Premarin) . i don't know how to use?? can i use one over another or should i mix both in an applicator?? i also want to know what is this premarin for??? Other information - i had removed uterus 6 year ago.these days facing problem like sagging skin in vagina. please reply...
Avatar f tn Really did not know what to put down as a "topic". We ( husbad & I ) have been happily married since 1978. WE always has a GREAT sex life. Back in 2005, I had a horrible car accident & was left for dead by the Other person. Woke up 4 days later & thought it was 1979 ( th elast time I was in the hospital when I gave birth to my son ) Both my husband & best g/f were with me. Never the less, we haven't had intercourse since I was 50. I am 56 now & dearly miss it.
Avatar n tn Well I can say from my experience I can't use Premarin because it causes yeast infections for me. I think you can take the pill Diflucan do get rid of the yeast infection but don't be surprised that it is persistent and wont go away. I would call the pharmacy to make sure as I am not a doctor but I know I would use both but I also would ask.
Avatar f tn and treating the symptoms can be done w/the use of HRT and Premarin. If this is so, does anyone know how long it will take for the medicine to induce menopause, and how long will the medicine be needed to treat the symptoms? Since i'm uninsured and my period is making me very sick, especially those debilitating migraines, (probably, because i'm too old now) I'm trying to find a way to help myself. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I'm sorry. I thought you were Dr. Lupo, as he did once respond to me, when I asked a question some time ago. I do appreciate your input, and I will ask for those tests. My blood test says 0.00 for TSH. I can't believe it, as I have always had a TSH of 2 for the past years when any doctor would check it. I never had the T3 or T4 taken, even after I had the surgery in 1983. I just went blindly along, doing whatever the doctor said.
Avatar f tn There is a natural premarin mde from equine's and a manmade version? Ive heard about HRT being made from the urine of female horses and how it is done, which I find crueeel ;( but guess my questions is what is the manmade version? Im on Prempro but dont know where it came from horse or manmade???
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
405614 tn?1329144114 So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. Or, it may be the sinus issue acting up again, or just something that can't be named.
Avatar f tn I am a 62 year old woman G3P3 . I had a total hysterectomy with BSO. I have been on estrogen replacement since my surgery in 1998. I still have moderate-severe hot flashes and they seem to be getting more intense with age. I switched from oral Premarin which covered me pretty well but I didn't want to be taking pills the rest of my life. Since then I have tried a variety of patches that are really not very effective on a regular basis and very expensive. At my age, what do you recommend.
