s 5/325 for the past few months it started out i was taking them for miofusial back strain then i found out i have gallstones very painful by the way i was just wondering why i am waking up every morning feeling like i want to puke and i start to sweat after awhile i was wondering if there was something i could do to take the nausea away? and how do I ween myself off of them?

I could not tolerate the nausea/crummy feeling. UGH. back to percocets and they are very different in how they make you feel. I know alot is psychological but they work. She did give me a few percocets for breakthru pain and maybe mixing that with the morphine was not good. Regardless, I am still stuck with when they wear off in middle of night, wake to pain, etc.
I asked a question and ended up here and believe me I had already typed in my posting and spent an hour typing it up and my cat my kids called Hitler hit the Esc key and I know it was done on purpose. My kids call him that cause they think he is evil. I was just typing along about how I got out of bed because dreams have prompted me to get up and get my thoughts out about my parents and myself and not understanding addiction as soon as I mentioned God that cat hit the key.
I have read this forum for several hours and have already gotten some answers. I was prescribed Percocet for severe muscle spasms in my back. Usually 1 or 2 would nip the spasm before it got too bad. Then I discovered it helped me sleep also! I also found it helped my mood, i.e., made me more talkative to my husband, more interesting. You all know the rest of the story.
Anyway I see a pain management specialist and I take MS Contin 30 mg, 3 times a day and Percocet 4 times a day and Lyrica and Cymbalta. I usually wake up several times a night but last night I slept through until the alarm went off. As soon as I got up I was in severe pain, far worse than usual. I was in so much pain, I was severely nauseated but when I told my husband he said it was because I didnt take any pain meds over night.
The next morning the pain was under better control as was the nausea. I hate semi solids for breakfast and lunch, soup and cream of wheat and kept it down, so they were ready to discharge me. They stopped my pain med IV about 6:30am. About 10:30 I started having a headache. They said if you do not take a lot of pain meds, certain ones can cause and aftermath headached, especially dilauddid. So, they gave my my percocet and sent me on my way.

I only started taking percocet yesterday, after suffering for 4 days with severe pain. I had tried everything, NSAIDS, hot wet compresses, I went for massages 4 days in a row! I'm going to have to go back and get an MRI, but in the meantime, I need to take the percocets. I just don't know if I should continue taking the subs while I am on the percocet. I want off the subs really bad, but I only got 15 percs and I don't know how long it will take me to get another Dr appt.
m still having most of the withdrawal symptoms, specifically major debilitating nausea, weakness/tiredness, trouble sleeping, restless legs. Is this normal? And is being on the percs somehow making things worse? (need for pain)
Does anyone know if activated charcoal would get all drugs out of the system, or is that just for acute overdose?

I too had a monster addiction to percocet,,what you are experiencing is the normal withdrawal side effects coming off them,,symptoms can begin within 12 hours from your last dose and consists of restless legs,,crawling outta skin feeling,,sweating,,diarrhea,,shaky feeling,,depression,,,emotional outbursts from anger to crying all of a sudden and nausea/vomiting,,stomach pains,,and flu like symptoms,,stuffy head,,sneezing and runny nose.
Two weeks ago my doctor of 8 years told me there is nothing more he can do for me. Handed me a script for Percocet since I had not been on those for over 6 years and a referral to a pain clinic. Well I tried to wean myself from the morphine, and its not going so well. I filled the Percocet script but didn't take any while I was weaning. I am on hour 33 without morphine. I took a Percocet to see if it would help the withdrawal symptoms, but it didn't.
