The side effects would be pretty much those listed for paroxetine, which for your convenience I will attach below. However, I noted in one of your previous posts that your doctor did not want you to take paroxetine any longer because of the possibilty of its deducing the effectiveness of tamoxifen. Are you no longer taking tamoxifen? Here is the side effect profile: "Paroxetine may cause side effects.

The most common side effects may include headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, anxiety, problems sleeping, lightheadedness (dizziness), sleepiness, restlessness and rash. JUST BE CAREFUL AND MAYBE TALK TO YOUR DR. ABOUT A MORE SAFE ALTERNATIVE. I'D HATE TO HAVE YOU SUFFER A LONGTERM PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE DRUG WHEN THERE IS PROBABLY A MED. THAT IS MUCH SAFER AND EFFECTIVE.
I'd various symptoms day 22 to 33 as I know are non-specific (torso rash , throat infection, isolated odd muscular pains, finger / toe joint freezing, heat on upper back, thighs and underarm, muscle loss). From day 40 for 2 weeksI had headaches and photophobia in evenings. On the day of my 63 day test I'd a new rash on my side 3 clusters of tiny red papules, prescribed Ketconazole for but cleared itself. I have had painful nodes throughout my body until a few days ago (day 73).

In 2002, I started Venlafaxine, yet it wasn’t effective, so I stopped. That same year I was switched to Paroxetine and it caused me to break out in rash, so I stopped. I was then switched to Sertraline, which I discontinued through a tapering process in February 2007 (approximately 5 years). I discontinued the medication because (1) I was experiencing anxiety symptoms while on the medication anyway and (2) I wanted to see if I could function in my daily life without the medication.
The p24 wouldn't show a POS even if she was POS a few weeks after an initial infection? The ELISA would probably show up antibodies by 45, 52 days? The Paroxetine she is prescribed wouldn't affect the test. Only thing if she has been POS for a long time there might not be enough antibodies to show a POS? She has been tested within a year though. In future I'm going back to using condoms for the first 3 months at least then we test together.

I was jerked off of Zoloft and Xanax that I had been on for 14 years and switched to Paroxetine(generic Paxil) without a taper. I at first believed it was the medication switch or the Paroxetine since it has a lot of vision side effects that I didn't know about prior to starting it. It started with distorted vision, could see the numbers on the prices but couldn't figure out what they were. Then straight things started to look curved, things looked wider or blown out to the right.

I tried several including Wilburton, well only one pill, when I broke out with a rash from the brown color/dye so could not take anymore, wasted two full bottles. I also tried Paxil and a few others. Right now I am taking Lorazepam. If you take one for a period of time, two months or longer, and you quit, wing yourself from them no matter what the direction say or your doctor.

ALL SSRIs will do the damage any other SSRI does, but its Paxil/Paroxetine/Seroxat (name differs in different countries) that has the fastest start to its withdrawal symptoms cos of its halflife. And so Paxil has the worst reputation for withdrawal, more sudden = more of it at the same time = feel even worse sort of :) BUT ALL SSRIs give these side effects and withdrawal symptoms sometime during the course of things.
I am currently weaning off Paroxetine (Paxil) and the withdrawal symtoms are taking over my entire day and I can't function properly. I am having "hot flashes" on my neck and earlobs (It's not a menopause thing, I'm 35 years old), I am having vision problems (focusing), racing heart beats, electric shock sensations, vertigo and mind flashes. This is like being tortured!!!! I am going off the medication so I can try Effexor.
Also has diabetes mellitus, hypertension, or anemia Is older, female, or has arterial sclerosis Is on higher dose of interferon Is also taking antidepressant medication paroxetine (a serotonin-reuptake inhibitor) Why is this damage occurring? The exact mechanism is unknown. Possibilities include the occlusion of retinal vessels due to deposition of immune complexes related to activation of complement.
I started taking allergy meds in September for my throat, rash, etc. Well, it did sort of help, but unbeknown to me, I had an inner ear infection, upper resp. infection that could not drain as the allergy pills stopped the natural draining process...so my infection had a "home". I started "growing" an infection that just pocketed for months. Meanwhile it was like I was "unplugged" from any energy source at all. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
She proscribed Paxil (generic version is called Paroxetine). I do well with 10mg but have the best results with 20mg once a day at the same time (usually before bed is what they say on the bottle). Anyway, it also helps treat depression as well. I find that things don't bother me and make me worry like before. I'm just much more calm and relaxed. It's supposed to treat the symptoms and not just cover them like Xanax (tranquilizer).
I do know this is driving me crazy. No rash (unless I scratch too vigorously) to speak of. Hopefully, someone can give insight to this itching.
-) Well, this morning the same thing again, as since Sunday morning. Felt awful again, also had a rash on my arms and some other weird symptoms. Went to the doctor who had my blood test results back already and..... everything came back absolutely fine! One thing in my white blood cells came back a bit off but means that I am probably fighting a virus... So, err, OK... We've gone from me being totally mental and taking anti-anxiety pills.. To a stomach disease..
My chills do not hurt they just make me feel awful because I am so cold. I do get shoulder and neck pain and suffer from anxiety, taking Paroxetine for this. Any ideas anyone?
