You can't confirm "abuse" at 2000ngl. 2000ngl is just the cutoff mandated by SAMHSA. Over 2000ngl and the test comes back positive. Under the 2000ngl level and the test reports negative. You can't tell the amount taken from the concentration, so there's no way you could accuse someone of abusing the meds at these levels.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes. My brother died from drug overdose on 2/16/09. Autopsy was performed & I just got word that the cause of death has been determined. Acute combined intoxication of alprazolam w/oxycodone. Alprazolam found in his system was 0.46 mcg & oxycodone was 0.19 mcg. He was taking Xanax for anxiety disorder, but had no script for oxycodone.
I have a question since I am not familar with Oxycodone ER- generic verison of Oxycotin. My Dad had a scare yesterday when he took his Oxycotin but it had broken. Does that mean he got the full 10mg of oxycodone at one time instead of released throughout the day? Wouldn't that be the same as taking 2- 5mg oxys?
we shall see. In the meantime, I was given 15 mg oxycodone to take for pain, every 6 hours. It is like taking nothing!
I got desperate on night, just lost my mind from 2 days straight with horrible pain and no sleep. On a 1-10 scale? 12! So, I took 60 mg of oxycodone and 40 mg of methadone, plus 1 mg of Ativan - all at once, instead of breaking doses up over the day.
I slept great for the first time since the wreck - March 25, 2015!
Can a baby overdose off of hydrocodone, oxycodone , or Roxycodone through breast milk if the mother takes the right dosage, or slightly more, only once a day and not everyday. If he breastfeeds while its in the mothers system, is sleepiness a sign of overdosing? If so, can l the overdose possibly death happen after the mother is no longer on medication?
Are these meds taken all at the same time? It would depend a lot on that...

What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?
I didnt think anything of my urine test i took yesterday because (H) would show up as an opiate and i am prescribed opiates, BUT i found out that the doctor is sending the test to get the levels of opiate and oxycodone etc. i kno for sure that its going to show up higher than it should. Is there anyting that i can say i took that raised my levels so high like morphine or i ate three times my dose of dialated?
Actually, Oxycodone is not the generic name for Oxycontin. Oxycodone is am immediate release narcotic medication, while Oxycontin is an extended release form of the same medication. Oxycodone is usually prescribed either to relieve moderate to severe pain for a short period of time, such as post surgical pain, or it is prescribed as a breakthrough pain medication for chronic pain sufferers who are also on an extended release medication, such as Oxycontin.
I do take two naproxen 220 mg along with one one 10 mg oxycodone IR tablet and two 300 mg gabapentin capsules in the the AM when I wake up. Oxycodone is a little bit stronger than Vicodin. But I agree with the first poster that you need to contact your pharmacist to make sure the combo is OK for you to take as everyone is different and you may have underlying medical conditions that would make it an unsafe. choice for you.
t get a vitamin overdose from eating cereal with your vitamins. I like carnation instant breakfast and its vitamin levels are much higher than cereal levels and I've never suffered any ill effects. If you're very concerned you can switch to taking your multi vitamins at night so that the vitamins in the cereal will have already been absorbed or passed through your system by then.
I have been prescribed both at high doses... it is safe as long as the doctor manages the dose... The combo worked well for me for a while... now I am on Fentanyl and Oxycodone... sometimes it takes a change every so often to get the most out of the medications...
You need to discuss this with your prescribing physician, especially if you are being treated for sleep apnea. Many people die of overdose of prescribed opiates because they do not talk to their doctor, or go in for surgery and have more pain medication given to them on top of what they already take. Please make your surgeon and treatment team aware of all your medications and medical conditions. Good luck.
I'm on so much medicine for my chronic pain and they are always changing it. A lot of times, I end up cutting my dose in half if I think I don't need as much but still need something.
Okay, right now, before I had my coffee, I made a mistake. I cut 1/2 my oxycontin 40 mg. in half thinking it was my 30 mg, oxycodone. I had already taken my 40 mg. oxycontin at around 6 am like I'm supposed to. Went back to sleep and woke up to take my break through and accidently broke the 40 mg.
The omega 3 is fine. A mimimum therapeutic dose is 4000-6000mg. If you have arthritis then it's higher ie 9000mg.
You're not getting a overdose as long as the vitamins you are taking are single dose ones (which all those can be). It's more an issue if you get a mix where you can double up with your dosages.
The 1000IU of Vit D is a standard dose for a deficiency. You probably want to get a blood test in about 2-3 months to see what your levels have done.
What are your current thyroid hormone levels? You should be getting tested before each med increase, for Free T3, Free T4 and TSH. Please post the results of your latest tests, along with reference ranges, with vary lab to lab so we can better assess you situation.
Magnesium and other supplements can be taken, as long as they are taken, at least, 4 hours away from thyroid medication.
Once we see what your actual levels are, we'll have a better idea of what's going on.
I have been on a high dose of oxycodone for Lupus for the past 8 months. I take up to 150 MG a day of oxycodone, I am trying to get off because I feel as if I don't need the meds anymore, I have found a different non-narcotic to help ease the pain. I am not pain free but the oxycodone is worse than the pain I am in. I can't seem to get off the oxt though, I am experiencing extremely bad withdrawals, and I can't seem to get any help from my doctors.
