I need help for my cousin she has a peptic ulcer I gave her two geltazine but still she is suffering pain what should I do to make her better?

You're incorrect. Omeprazole isn't a definitive treatment for peptic ulcers in that it won't correct the underlying problem, but it can alleviate a good deal of the pain associated with ulcers by reducing the amount of stomach acid (the actual substance causing the pain). Omeprazole and other PPIs can and do give ulcer patients a better quality of life while they heal.

The pain which you suffered is probably due to some acute gastritis/peptic ulcer pain which typically occurs in the night and is usually associated with nausea. If you take some antacids/omeprazole/pantoprazole, you’ll be fine. Please consult gastroenterologist/physician and you may need an endoscopy in case the symptoms recur on regular basis, otherwise a short course of anti-ulcer drugs should be fine. I hope that helps. Omeprazole is an H2 blocker. It is helpful, but not the big guns for acid reflux that could be harmful. Omeprazole is available OTC. Some H2 blockers are also used as supplement antihistamines for people who have a hard time controlling allergies. OH, not acid reflux presents with the typical heart burn symptoms. Some people reflux higher and it does burn the esophagus in that way. Feel better.

Not sure about the ulcer....but I do know it can take time to heal after being DX'd with H. Pylori....

For almost 10 years since the age of 16 I have been experiencing heartburn type symptoms. I've had numerous doctors tell me it could be heartburn, hiatal hernia, and/or a peptic ulcer.
