I yawned and felt a serious pain right under my chin in the upper neck area. Now it is painful to the touch and hurts under my tongue and in the front of my neck. It also hurts under my tongue when I swallow but not like a strep throat/sore throat pain. My adams apple area feels normal and my glands are not swollen at all. Ears are fine and there are no other symptoms. Right away I was thinking I pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve...

To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile. I've had swollen lymph nodes before but never anything like this. It is not painful just tender and slightly uncomfortable. I also have a canker sore in my mouth on the same side as it, I don't know if this could be related but felt I should mention it anyways.

Hi, I had a question. Last night I noticed pain under my chin, and around my jawline. There is a bump there that is pretty painful. If I stretch my neck it hurts really bad. I had the same pain about two months ago but it went away with in a day. I have heard that acne will cause inflamation with your lymph nodes? I do not have alot of acne but I do have a hugh knot (pimple) underneath my lip. I'm just worried that if could be worse then a swollen lymph node.

It is painful to the touch, and is causing pain down the right side of my neck, below my lymph node. It's causing pain when I chew and also when I turn my head. The mass is almost 3 inches in length, and makes me look like I have a double chin. Any ideas?

Hello, so i was randomely feeling like under my chin right before my neck starts and theres this pretty good size lump... Its like a size of a marble ... It hurts when i touch it... I have no idea what this could be .... Its not like a really really bad pain when i touch it but i definately dosnt feel good when i touch it and i feel some pain... you can definately feel the lump.. when i lift up my head you can also see a lump ... should i be concerned about this ?

Basically I discovered strange shaped lump under my chin/jaw.. I believe it's in the submandibular region. It's above my adam's apple, under my chin slightly to the left (my left).. When I feel it, it feels like it starts out very thin, and then starts to expand outwards.. the widest section of the lump is no larger than my thumb..and the general length in total is less than my thumb.. It feels quite hard, doesn't move that freely. And is not on the other side..

I have a painful red rash on under my chin/neck and started to get little clear blisters it stings a little and does not itch. if anyone may know of what it may be pleaseee let me know.

I also have pain that feels like it's going down that same side of my neck into the area just on and under my collarbone. In addition to this, I have the similar feeling pain directly under my chin. It also gets itchy. and so does my jaw/neck area under chin. i also have itchy skin on chest/thighs and not sure if it is linked to the chin issue or otherwise dry skin. this has been on-going for 2mos. i have tried gentle cleansing/moisture prdts. cortison (script). metrogel from derm dr. it calms down and then gets worse but never goes away. I see a white mark on my chin and when swollen it feels like a hard lump under the skin about a 1/2 inch in size.

It honestly feels like there's half an extremely pressurized pea embedded under my skin when I get one of these things. They only show up on the very front of my chin, either below the corners of my lip or towards the bottom on either side of the cleft (never in the middle). I usually end up stabbing them as I said, and eventually after a few days of this the drama will reach its climax when the sucker finally produces a large white head which I squeeze with hopeless abandon.

I took the ear drops for 4 times a day for 10 days and I still have the swollen nodes in my neck and under my chin, but just on the left side. I have been drinking green tea and lots of water to help for about 2 weeks now, but the swelling is still there. I have been experiencing trouble swallowing with a cramp like feeling under my chin on one side, where my gland may be. It is a cramp-like feeling that passes after time, but is very uncomfortable & at times I panic with the feeling. If I try to eat or drink, it seems to make the feeling worse. I don't know if it is related, but I also have been having alot of pain in the back of my neck, where if I turn my head a certain way, it "catches" & is very uncomfortable.

I am really starting to worry about this neck pain that I have. It is a shooting pain in the same area of the right side of my neck... It has continued for the last yr and a half, occuring once in few months to everyday a couple times a day... The pain lasts for onlt a few seconds but since it's in the same place every time it's freaking me out! I plan to see a DR but I need to be reassured NOW... I felt okay after some time but when my wisdom tooth started growing, the gum was dark red(the gum above the wisdom tooth) and i noticed somekind of boil in the place of extraction,extra bump(swollen lymph) in between my right cheek and jaw, almost where the tooth was extracted and then i noticed other two growing under my chin(one sub-mandibular and the other one, on the upper right side of my throat). But its gotten worse every day, and now in the morning and day it hurts to the right of my throat and at night it moves up under my chin. I want to know if I pulled a muscle or if it sounds like someting more serious. I went to urgent care and she said my lymph nodes, throat and everything look normal so she said its probley a muscle thing. Let me know what you think and if its a muscle thing, what muscle did I pull and how do i make it feel better.

I've been having a sore throat and pain under my chin right in the center by where my tongue would be it's on the outside the doctors just say it's my tonsils I've been through prednisone and 2 antibiotics and no relieve when it get's real bad it feels like something stabbing the outside of my throat area so far no lumps have been felt except my lymph nodes which doctor says is normal with throat problems and there small. does any body have any ideas what this might be?

Ive been having neck pain on the Left side which consists of pain starting under my chin and running up to my ear and in my jaw and also when I turn my neck to the left side. I have had this problem since Aug and my Dr just ordered an MRI on Sat 11/17/07. The results show that I have Degenerative Disc Disease in C6-C7 & Spondlyosis. Hi matd, I broke my neck playing softball some years ago and have had issues with neck pain and shoulder pain as well as headaches periodically. I have purchased several expensive pillows that promised to relieve the headaches and pain but none of them worked. I found that if my pillow is flat and my neck well supported I sleep more comfortably and wake with less pain and headaches. There are a multitude of opinions on facet joint and cervical injections.

3 hours ago a hard lump about golf ball size appeared under my jaw, left side between chin and ear. Not painful to touch, but slight discomfort swallowing. It seems to go up and down in size.
