Common Questions and Answers about Neck pain fatigue

neck

Avatar f tn A few months ago I twisted my neck and felt a pop. I had severe pain and had very little range of motion. The pain begins at the base of my skull on the left and right side. I thought the pain would resolve on its own but it hasn't. I have been to a chiropractor, but ended up gettting severe muscle spasms in my neck. I have been to a massage therapist many times, which helps temporarilly, but I cannot afford to go weekly to keep those going. Is there anything else I can do for my neck?
Avatar f tn I have the pain in the neck and upper shoulders all the time. I have an office job and do a lot with the mouse and keyboard. I am currently taking ultram 4 times a day Flexeril 3 times a day, toprol 3 times a day, benicar, 1 a day, Neurotin 300 mg. 3 x a day. It is not helping. I have pain in my legs and lower back also. I am having a terrible time trying to stay awake each day. Between 10 and 2 I feel like my head is continually dropping. Has anyone found anything for this fatigue?
Avatar f tn Now two months later the cold/flu symptoms have subsided and I now just feel dizzy all the time and my neck has become abnormally heavy, making it hard to hold my head up. The neck pain is the worst of it, I am waking up in the night having panic attacks of some sort. I find that when the pain gets worse I go numb, mainly my head and arms. I am currently under a lot of strain from my university workload and my part-time job.
Avatar m tn This started 3 weeks ago when I noticed mildly swollen neck glands and abdominal pain. As the week progressed the pain increased to the point it was difficult even sitting up. The pain then manifested as neck and back pain during the second week and fatigue. Now into my third week I have mild aches and pains pretty much all over the place, primarily my back, I'm still fatigued and obviously very concerned. My doc set up blood tests which were taken yesterday. Any possible causes?
Avatar m tn what is the reason and medicine to cure my neck glands pain ? My esr is high. Avatar f tn I am responding because I too suffer from extreme fatigue/sleepiness, neck pain, memory loss, fogginess, inability to handle stress and can't handle too much stimulus. I take Hemocyte-plus for anemia and Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I have recently been diagnosed with systemic mastocytosis. I have many other symptoms as well, so I'm not saying that this is what you probably have, but in trying to get diagnosed, I was tested by an endocrinologist first.
Avatar m tn I'm recently dx, April 2011. I've suffered on and off in the passed with neck pain, it hurts just to hold my head up. Does anyone else suffer from this? Is this even a symptom of ms? I feel like things I ignored in the past may have been symptoms that I didn't realize.
Avatar f tn The headaches I get either begin in the base of my neck and wrap around my head to shoot piercing pain through my eye (these are most severe) or they begin as a sensation on being pinched or electrocuted on the top of my head (these linger for days or weeks with no relief from OTC medication). Other symptoms that I have include diarrhea, nausea, mood swings, loss of appetite, tremors in my hands, severe joint pain in my back, neck, and hands, and depression.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have fibromyalgia and have had bursitis in both shoulders which were treated with injections, I’ve recently had a flare up of my fibro and now seem to be left with upper arm pain and fatigue and I’m also finding if I don’t sit with my neck supported, I get a lot of pain and tiredness. I’m wondering if this pain is my fibromyalgia or could it be something else. I have upped my gabapentin to 300mg twice a day.
Avatar n tn i have sharp pain in my legs feet hands shoulders and neck that came on about 3 days ago it goes away with motrin, but as soon as the motrin wears off it comes right back what could these symptoms be...
Avatar f tn i started out with back pain ,now i have neck pain down my arms and pain in the thoracic area of my back also weird pressure numbness sensation in my upper back?i do not understand why i have so much pain?
Avatar n tn then I was told it may be infammatory Arthritis I take antiinflammatories and pain medication. I recently had a neck CT scan as most of my pain radiates from there. I was told today that my C2 and C3 have fused together. I have never had surgery but about 18 months ago I suffered a neck injury at work, when I went to the hospital I was given anti inflammatories and a muscle relaxants as I was told i pulled a muscle, and told to take 3 days off.
1797743 tn?1389213685 Hi...just curious...anybody else have chronic neck pain? I will be fine for a few weeks and then all of the sudden the back of my neck (cervical spine region) will start to ache for several days in a row. Almost like I've strained my neck or something. It comes and goes.
Avatar f tn I am a LimboLander with an uncomfortable new symptom--or maybe not a symptom?? I have a stiff neck--and not the kind that you get after you sleep weird--and not like something is "out." It's just this line of pain from my neck dowm my right arm--and up to my jaw--I feel stupid asking because maybe it's just a stiff neck--but I've never had pain like this before and was just wondering if this sounds like something to add to my log of sx or if it seems unrelated.
Avatar n tn Symptoms range from, sharp pain in the neck lymph node, groin pain, stomach pain, back muscle pain, shortness of breath, lack of concentration & memory , constantly feeling fever and fatigue, ear pain, ear pop ( like the air is stuck inside the ear ). Exercise helps for little bit. I work out. I eat right. I know it's not anxiety for sure. Pros: Vitamin helps, the right one. Cons: Too much brings fatigue. Has anyone ever experience Vitamin causing fatigue.
Avatar m tn ve been suffering moderate pain in the left side of the outer part of my throat. No fever, cough, fatigue, or nasal congestion. Not a typical sore throat and no pain swallowing yet. Pain is worse when I sit at an awkward angle. What's going on?
Avatar m tn My question is, is there more than anecdotal evidence for a connection between an arachnoid cyst and the symptoms of fatigue, back and neck pain without a clear cause, muscle weakness, and numbness and tingling in the extremities? Does it matter which side of the brain the cyst is on? (I'm recalling strokes present symptoms in the opposite side of the body only, my symptoms are on the same side of the body). Thanks!
Avatar f tn For years now i've had a pain at the base of my neck on the right side, it hurts if I apply slight pressure, I suffer from headaches, which if left almost always turns into a migraine but they always start at this point in my neck, it feels like a small lump, if I apply pressure to it & deep massage it it hurts like hell but does slightly ease the pain, could this be a tension knot? If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!
1679858 tn?1346765181 neck tension and or pain, that can go down my upper back, extreme fatigue, fogginess and trouble concentrating. Pressure in my head, especially when laying down. I have to sleep elevated, but still, I often awaken with head pressure and pain on the top of my head. This causes the foggy, hazzy head symptoms which are often followed by neck pain and fatigue throughout the day.
Avatar n tn I am assuming that it is caused from inflammation again, but do you think my thyroid levels are off again and that is causing the pain in my neck. Is there something other than TSH that the Endo should be testing also? Thanks for your help.
209987 tn?1451935465 When I DO finally manage to fall asleep, I am woken up MANY times during the night with horrid neck pain along with pain from my hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, back, hands, wrists AND the headache from hell. I have also destroyed my stomach from YEARS of OTC pain meds. I have taken every single drug my rheumatologists have thrown at me over the years. I've had the cortisone injections, the prednisone, the methotrexate, the Gabepentin, the Enbrel, the Humira...........
