Common Questions and Answers about Neck lift surgery photos

neck

Avatar n tn I had a partial face lift and neck lift 2 years ago. I still feel extreme tension/tightness at the sides of my neck, near my cervical nodes. I cannot palpate any node enlargement. I am also experiencing increasing parasthesia of my lips to the point of difficulty enunciating words. I have no lip drooping, but I experience some saliva drooling while speaking. My surgeon merely suggests more surgery.
Avatar n tn I see there is a simular question already in the forum. My question has to do with the after effects I've had with a lower face lift. It seems that off to the each side of my mouth I have a bulge. They are different from each other. On the left side it's like the skin didn't lay down on the underneath muscle and it pretrudes, I can grab it. (?) On the right side there is a spot the side of a golf ball with something under it. Like gooush. My Doctor thinks it's scar tissue.
568174 tn?1217557505 Hi I had recently had surgery or a broken disc in my neck and 3 other compressed discs that were all laying on nerves. My surgery was about a little over a week ago and I still don't have feeling in one of my fingers and the doctor told me that if I didn't come back within a week it probably won't, is this true?
Avatar f tn I had neck lift surgery in April of 2012. Ever since the back of the right side of my head feels like I have a metal plate that has been placed inside. My right side of head feels numb but at the same time I am in so much pain. Part of the pain goes deep into the center of the back of my head. The other part of the pain is at the lower part of the back of my head right at my neck. I get very little sleep due to not being able to lay on my back and having to sleep on my left side.
Avatar n tn I had a face & neck lift 3.5 years ago and I am still experiencing swollen jaw area & tingling sensations in my cheek areas. Sometimes I feel like I am going to choke the chin/neck area is so tight. I exercise, massage, hot/cold compress, etc but nothing is relieving the swollen areas. Any ideas?

Avatar f tn I had a chin implant and neck lift 3 weeks ago. The day after surgery, I went in to have the drain removed. When the PS took off the dressing, the drain was not there. He searched in the trash can and had his nurses looking for it. In about 2 more days, I developed a seroma. It was drained 3 times. Now I have a horrible lump across my neck which I'm assuming is scar tissue from the seroma.
Avatar n tn ) Anyway, my question is if there is any way that I could make a legitimate case with my insurance company to have reconstructive surgery done in this area? Where would I even start?! I can live with the inner thigh being wrinkly but the excess skin is a very real problem! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Avatar f tn 2 years ago I had a neck lift, with lipo under the chin and my upper and lower eyes done. I have had constant and often debilitating pain since the surgery. Burning like Chinese burns, no feeling to the sides of the face, tightness that is overwheelming. Slight swelling along the jawline RHS that is worse at different times. I've had blood tests, xrays, ultrasound, second opinions from other plastics surgeons and doctors.
Avatar n tn One month ago I had a neck and half face lift. I am now have a large under the skin scar tissue development next to my mouth, it is preventing me from opening my mouth, I can not even eat a banana, floss my teeth, etc. My doctor said to massage the area, and come in the office for ultra sound treatments to help dissolve the scar tissue, several days later there is more scar tissue devloping in other areas. what is your take on this and what is your recomendation?
Avatar n tn Tough it out long as you can. I started with this condition in my early 30's but finally had to have disks fixed via surgery which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My Neuo surgeon went through my throat (font) which opens up to the disks. Took bone from my hip, and basically screwed and glued my neck. Now at the time I had no feeling in my left arm and immediately the next morning I saw an immediate difference.
Avatar n tn I had a neck lift and lower face lift 3 days ago. I am just noticing that the right side of my mouth is drooping when I smile and when I talk. I do not notice more numbness on that side of my face. I am wondering if this is a normal symptom for post op face lift.
Avatar m tn The skin around the red spots lose pigment eventually and remain white, around one cm in diameter. The red spots lift a bit above my skin, maybe a mm, like its popping up a bit . Red spots are with the black squares. Other spots, which I dont know the name of are with red squares. 645800 tn?1466860955 Since I didn't know if my knee surgery would work or not my friennd Dave and I took a trip up to Mammoth Caves in KY. While in the caves I actually felt better than I have in years but my balance was way off due to low light levels. I have just uploaded some pictures for all to enjoy. I wish I could have taken more but most of the cave would have been too hard for me to transverse. As you can probably tell I refuse to let my illness stop me from enjoying life.

Avatar n tn Two years ago I had a lower face lift and since then I have had pain in my neck under my chin, between the surgical incisions in front of and behind both ears. The pain is more sever when I get hot and my neck feels like it is burning up. When I touch the skin, it feels fingers are cutting the skin. My surgeon said he had never had anyone have this problem before.... that was not very comforting. He put me on neurontin and recently gave me a cream of benzecaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine.
Avatar f tn Horner's syndrome is a combination of a droopy eyelid (ptosis) which can be mild and hard to spot, and a pupil smaller than the other side (miosis). Again which can be mild and hard to notice. All Horner's do not have a serious causes. Sometimes the cause is unknown. I would suggest you see a neuroophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org Most Horner's do not require medication or surgery.
Avatar m tn Several months ago I had surgery on my eyes. Prior to the surgery they gave me a blood test to check for items prior to the surgery. Do they screen for HIV in that test?
Avatar f tn Lie on your back and bend your knees. Place your hands behind your neck for support and lift your head, neck and upper shoulders off the mat or bed. If you have Diastasis Recti, a separation of the large muscles in your core, only lift your head while using your hands to support your stomach muscles. If you google the exercises you should be able to see videos.
Avatar f tn I was not able to lift my arm after surgery but I have been doing pt since end of August and I can lift the arm but my lower trap is doing the work- I have a 1 cm edema on my upper trap. I am desperate at this time and reall need help from this site.
Avatar m tn old, I lift wts, I swim and I play Basketball. I am doing everything I was doing before surgery without the soreness brought on by nerve irritation. I am in my 3rd week of working out and I feel good. I do 2 miles a day, lift wts. and either play basketball or swim. I truly feel that the more active you are before a surgery like this the better you respond. My Dr. is a very good Dr.

973882 tn?1258681304 Sometimes if I move my head too quickly, I get a sharp muscle pain in my neck like a pulled muscle... I think because I have just held my neck so still just in case of pain. So I'm slowly getting stronger, and I watch what I lift or how much I do in one day. When I'm exhausted, the aching is greater too. Hope this helps?
