antihistamine

On about the 2nd day after the injection I had intense itching (this is a normal side effect for pain sufferers so I guess it's the same for itching) but then nothing for 3 weeks....we shall see how long this lasts. I was told that I could get up to 3 shots per year but that's it. Another option the doctor suggested was trying some sort of neurostimulation device that can be implanted to block the itch signal to the brain. There's a 5 day trial period at first.
My 7 month old Red Doberman is having horrible skin problems. He has little bumps all over his body, thining hair. More bumps come out when he takes a bath (which unless nessecary I only give him one. We brought him to the vet and he gave him a steroid shot, antibiotics and told me to get omega 3 & 6 vitamins for him. Which I did. I was feeding him Bil Jacs for a few months. Still nothing cleared up the little bumps with clearish liquid & thinning of hair was still present.
6 million) and have been reading through the threads on here for even longer. First of all I would like to take the time to thank all of you for giving me support and helping me to understand that I am not alone. So many of you have unknowingly touched my heart, talked me down off of a ledge, allowed me to laugh at myself (See subject: “Losing Car in Mall Parking Lot” threads), and given me support merely by posted your words on this site and even.
Last night I was alone in the house and steadily starting to believe I had a cold in the nose starting. Got rapidly worse. Searched for the Z-Pac, found the Z-Pac. Took the first dose. Woke up this morning thinking OMG I am so tired. But I didn't feel the "I feel like crawling in a hole and dying" thing. Progress!! Got to work, assistant took one look at me and said, "You have to go home." LOL!! Yeah. Looking GOOD! I sound like a snuffle monster.
In late 2005 I was prescribed hydrocodone 5/500 for pain associated with a cartilage tumor in my femur. I have been taking one pill, everynight, missing a few b/c of forgetfulness and sometimes taking another one due to awaking 3-4 a.m. with pain. Other than taking pain meds for migraine, I have never had a regular pain pill rx for anything in my life and I am 45.
It is highly recommended for larger animals such as large dogs and horses (yes they too suffer allergies). But not such good studies with cats (in the larger studies). I know that Vets don't often like to use Benedryl because of the sedative effect it may produce. However, with the right dosage per weight it does wonders without long term effects that still have not been studied with prescription medicine.
/ I'm also on immunotherapy for dust from november. Everyday I take 2-3 telfast (antihistamine) and 1 atarax. I'm just waiting when my body will start to fell apart...when my kidneys will not work anymore.
I dealt with this very problem for about six years with our cat. The vet gave her steroid injections, which only helped temporarily. We tried highly regulated diets - nothing worked. One day I was down staring at the litter box - wondering why my son hadn't changed it lately - that it occurred to me that the perfume (Tidy Cat) was rather strong. Being highly sensitive to fragrances myself, I began wondering whether the cat could also be sensitive to something in the litter.
I had also found that dosing about every 4 hours was a do-able time, but sometime i'd take another dosage only about 3 hours after the first dosage (due to bad anxiety), and since this was the second dose for the day, i was actually building up the level of tramadol in the my system for that day...but then the following doses for the day could be taken at maybe later intervals, maybe every 4 1/2 ~ 5 hour intervals, again due to the build-up from the earlier 2 doses of that day.
I've been feeling like I was going crazy for a long time. and in addition to that; the scary suicidal ideation. The suicidal ideation vanished and returns ONLY if I get a flare up of withdrawal symptoms. That happens if I get over stressed. So i need some coping mechanisms. At the moment; "I am STILL ALVE!?" Is a pretty good coping mechanism! :) Love and healing, Emily PS. No Tramadol Withdrawal symptoms today .... :) YAY!
I've been having the under-breast-rib charley horses for a long time; just bending over will cause them. I never thought of it in connection with the leg/hip cramps I've had for the last 4 months, but maybe... I've been tested for everything spinal/nerve, etc. because the the leg/hip cramps are severe and constant and worse than any long-term pain I've ever had. I wonder if it's as simple as a deficiency?
he can tell 2 days away if the weather is going to dramatically change - and here in texas that happens a lot. trust me, its awful for him. once the weather settles down, he's back to normal. only the barometric change does anything to him. you're not alone in this, and nothing - not any medication on the market, rx or otherwise, puts a dent in his reaction.
I have a couple friends with fibro and they have chosen the OTC route with natural/holistic therapies. Just know that you have other options for the pain. Personally, I take an anti-depressant which helps immensely with the anxiety and depression. I don't plan on taking it for long, but I will take it as long as I need to get off of the truly damaging narcotics. All of this is just my own personal experience and opinion, but I hope it helps. Hope you feel better soon. Keep on going!
This may sound very unususal, and beleive me I wouldn't even mention it, if it hadn't become such an anomoly to me. For the past 3 months or so I have noticed that I have gnats flying around me at home. Just a couple, but they follow me from room to room, wherever I go. They also follow me to work, and I have them in my office too. Then when I go to another person's office, they follow me in there too. So essentially it's me they are after.
I have been having the same problem off and on for a long time and currently for the past 2 weeks. I do not have any bumps under or on the palm but the center of my palm itches all the time. You would think that the doctors would be able to determine what this is. When it gets really bad I take Benadryl and that seems to calm it down a bit but I do not have any know allergies. I hope someone finds out soon.
My arms, and only my arms, have itched for 10 years. no rashes, no psiorias, excema etc. The creams, allergery pills..my list is extensive as to what I have tried but nothing worked. ---------------The only thing that helps are ice packs. ----------------------- Recently,I had an x-ray to check if I had any nerve impingement in my cervical spine - one of the possible causes but nothing showed so I continue to search for answers.
I used to cringe when I saw people drink those heavy protein drinks. It doesn't seem natural to me for our bodies to process that amount of protein in one sitting.
Av, its horrible. Mine has been going on for three years. The only benefit is that I do not hear my husband's snoring. I lay down and they immediately clog. I did used to get really nasty smelling crud out of them every morning. I have had times when my jaw is so sore, or my ear, or below my ear. This has been such a pain in "the ear" for me. Richt now the itchiness is truly driving me nuts.
Thanks for the suggestion of the antihistamine cream, I'll try that, although I've been fortunate enough to have th rash all over, but not real burning, tightnest or pain to speak of. Thanks again!
i was not doing anything out of the ordinary. what could be causing this? should there be a cause for concern?
Hello. My fiance has been suffering with eustation tube dysfunction for a little over 6mths. now. We have tried numerous decongestants and nasal sprays as well as a round of steroids. His ENT did allergy testing on him, however, he did not have any significant allergies. Our last resort was to have PE tubes placed. This only made his symptoms worse and they took them out after a couple of weeks. Suprisingly after they took the tubes out and his ears were healing, he was symptom free.
I had read about the possibility of it being bed bugs (from reading sites like this online) so I tore my bedroom apart looking for signs of an infestation, and saw NOTHING. My mattress is brand new, the apartment I live in is also pretty close to brand new. Never the less, not a thing was found, searched mattress, box spring, walls near bed, everything. Ruled out bed bugs. The only other thing I've seen it could be is Restless Leg Syndrome.
Also, eating frequent small meals helps intestines normalize from B-6. Sleep with your head elevated to minimize blood pressure or heart problems, and try to do a lot of walking, meditation, stress reduction, and non-vigorous exercise as well as rest. Some have claimed wearing loose shoes is good for nerve damage in the feet. Test for thyroid problems, and be careful about ingesting any other drugs or vitamins.
I found a person on the MSN body odor support forum who had a bad odor for a long time and then the odor went away after being treated for H. Pylori, but then the coughing and sneezing started after that. Interesting. Another person on the MSN board said he was also treated for H. Pylori and then the coughing/sneezing started! Question: Do any of you burp a lot? Here is a thread that should be read: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=561071#i Read the replies to that link also.
Can anyone give me an idea of how long it usually takes for your metabolism to recalibrate after stopping Effexor and/or Lexapro? I've gained significant weight while on these drugs (despite an intense exercise program and careful diet). My nutritionist and MD told me that the drugs likely altered my metabolism, but no one can tell me how long it will take to correct that. Most frustrating, I've noticed that since I stopped taking both, my weight gain has accelerated.
Hi everyone - I have just come across this forum - and would like to ask help and advice. I have been taking nurofen plus (ibuprofen + codeine sulphate 12.8 mg per tablet) for 5 years - I take about 24 tablets per day (all at once - like the feeling along with the pain killing effects) I must give these up - for I understand this is addiction - and must find another way to deal with pain. I guess nurofen is much like tylenol (2? 3? 4?) - dont know which one.
