I was diagnosed with early miscarriage at my obs after an ultrasound that showed no sac and falling hcg levels. I did have two small bouts of minimal fresh bleeding and have been only spotting for a week since then. I am concerned as I am not bleeding and dont know what to do....Do I just wait ......

Thank you everyone. I have been taking it real easy and trying not to stress out. I find out tomorrow what my hcg levels are. They were at just over 1000 on Thursday. The Dr said there is not much they can do at the moment being so early in the pregnancy. He knows I'm worried about my miscarriage 2 months ago and is advising me to bed rest until we see the hcg levels.

Its probably nothing esp if its a brownish colour but you should speak to your dr ask them to refer you for a early scan, i had this last week and had a early scan done on monday and baby is fine but it doesnt hurt to be overprotective.

Donzash, I' sorry you're going through this. This is a waiting game, and there's really nothing you can do if you're in the beginning of an early miscarriage. It's good news that your baby has a heartbeat - that does cut the chances down of an early miscarriage. So far, so good as they say. In the coming weeks you'll know more. This is hard.

I would get checked out not all miscarriages start with pain or heavy bleeding I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks and all I had was brown spotting then I got pain and red heavy bleeding right when I was losing my baby in my opinion no bleeding or spotting is and good sign good luck

Some women do bleed during pregnancy, but it can also be a sign of miscarriage. So definitely see a doctor...by the way, I bled in early pregnancy and the baby is fine, I'm 30 weeks now. But those early days were scary.

Spotting is normal in early pregnancy. Idk why they would automatically say a threatened miscarriage.

Was it heavy bleeding or spotting? You really can't tell unless you go get a quantitative HCG test ran and you really need more than one in order to tell what is going on.

Went to the ER cause of spotting after sex with husband. It was very light and pink, I was jus being ridiculous & thought I had to go to ER. They did pelvic exam, my cervix was closed and there was no sign of spotting, I believe it stopped once I got to ER. They checked my levels they were 11,347 its been 7 weeks 4 days from last period. Could be a very early miscarriage, or whats called a chemical pregnancy, you miscarry even before a positive pregnancy test. The small amount of heavy bleeding and clots could indicate this.

It is possible that it is still too early for the ultrasound to pick up the heartbeat. Your HCG is fantastic! You should go to your doctor in another week or so and try to rest and keep your legs up as much as possible. The first trimester is one of the hardest.
