548780 tn?1233769602 I was on Miralax for 2yrs and then when my TSH dropped below 2.0 the constipation went away too .. they all shook their heads as if ithis was impossible from TSH 2.8 to TSH 2.0 for this to happen but are believers now LOL~! I had colonoscopy and all tests bcz this came on so suddenly ... then Miralax for 2yrs I kid you not and now don't need it at all, not ever ?
Avatar f tn I got mine at the local branch of a chain pharmacy (Walgreens), a milk carton size, as you say. Don't recall the price, but it didn't startle me. Also try the big stores like Costco etc., price might be better for bigger quantity.
Avatar f tn Seriously, eat a Fiber One bar. I grabbed a box of these at Costco once, just thinking they were regular snacky type bars (like a Nutrigrain bar), and these things worked like a roto rooter. Give it a try - can't hurt. If it gets really bad, ask the doctor if you can take a stool softener pill each day.
Avatar f tn I had the same problem. My doc also prescribed miralax. Im already swamped with other meds, so I decided to go natural to reduce the constipation. Try eating brown (wheat) instead of white and lots of green veggies (greens, spinach). It has done wonders for me.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to take miralax and to increase my water intake.
Avatar f tn The beginning of my pregnancy my OB said I could take miralax to help with constipation, but now that I am 37w4d is it safe to take? I don't want to take it if it's going to affect baby in any way.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had miralax?
408448 tn?1286883821 I have been having okay results since June with Miralax and Colace. A few weeks ago I began having what looks to be blood in the stool. I told my onc right away. She said do not worry. It is probably from a blood vessel bursting. Well, I tried not to worry, but it did not work! Could the Miralax be the trouble?
Avatar f tn I am 10wks preggo and was wondering if Miralax is safe to take for constipation during pregnancy....I am very constipated and have been drinking Metamucil 2 times a day without any effectiveness....my husband is a pharmacist and says that it is safe because it doesn't enter the bloodstream, but I do not want to take something unless I know that it is safe. I have seen where it is category c. Thanks for your help....
Avatar m tn I was given iron supplements as a baby, grew up and have experienced constipation off and on as long as I can recall. I am 30 years old now, have taken Miralax on a daily basis for over a year (a friend of mine who was a nurse said it was safe as it does not alter your colon, only draws in water), and have no problems defecating.
Avatar n tn As long as you use opiates or synthetic opiates you will fight constipation, plane and simple. Me too. Like Vicki said "Miralax" is what I use. Walmarts got a copy, don't recall the name. You have probably already tried to notice which foods stop you up. If your intestines are alright, then it's a fiber thing. And of course water. I've had part of my gut's removed and fight it every single day.
Avatar n tn t keep up production with walmart, sams club or costco and generic is yuck. But Miralax is a miracle worker. Will increase number of bowel movements in a day which isn't fun, but unfortunately but much much softer. Still some bleeding with each BM. and secretions from surgical site and have found the small OB tampons (remember I'm a 60 yr old female with hysterecomy and this embarrassed my wonderfuly husband to buy them...
Avatar f tn Listeria is rare but not that rare. My Dr said lunch meat every now and then is fine but just don't eat it all day every day.... P.s. there is a voluntary recall on produce sold by wawona packaging due to possible listeria contamination. (Wawona packing sells produce at Wegman's, Trader Joe's, Costco, BJs, and Sam's club.
3091190 tn?1340892603 We buy her grain free turkey meal and sweet potato formula from Costco at about $40 a bag. She really likes it, but I guess that doesn't mean it's good for her.(?) What do you feed your dog?
Avatar m tn I was shocked. I just cant remember when it happened. I can completely recall what had happened on the same day previosly and what all events took placce . But not that particular incidence. Now it keeps nagging my mind. How is it possible that I cant remember just one thing but all the other. I can even remember and recall incidences that happened 20 yrs back. Is it that I was too absorbed in my thoughts that I was not totally aware what happened? Someone please help.
612551 tn?1450022175 Many people report satisfaction with the uner 2K $ for a pair with remote and many are devoted Costco customers who speak highly of the Costco customer service and portability of guarantee and service between stores. Costco gives a 90 day trial period. I don't see how they can due that unless most people keep their aids. They can't resell the returned products as new, can they?
Avatar f tn However, The Kirkland Brand from Costco is under a recall...I have provided the list for you just in case........
Avatar f tn Im looking at target, walmart nd babies R us. Costco doesnt sell pampers which ***** but anyway i cant seem to figure out wats the best amount of diapers nd wipes to choose..
Avatar f tn he told me that I could use miralax and gatorade and it would be fine..I mean really I got the bathroom anywhere from 2 to 7 times a day, the prep is all I need to push me over the top...so I am hoping that I will be able to tolerate the prep and the colonoscopy will go fine. A couple of other things, I do take things over the counter to attempt to slow down this condition..
Avatar n tn This is on top of a strong oral medication (Amitiza) and magnesium. With Miralax, I get the stuff in the bottle and take 1 1/2 capfuls once a day and as needed.
405614 tn?1329144114 Hi, everyone. To all the new people that I haven't said hello to yet: Hi there, and welcome! To Lulu: Thanks for the tip about the generic Miralax; I paid $2.40 for a month's supply! Oh oh, fuzzy-brain doubt; that was you that told me that I could get the generic form through my insurance, right? Yesterday I saw my PCP; she listened, answered all my questions.
Avatar m tn As I recall, the solution was also pretty expensive, whereas you can buy a bottle of Miralax and some Crystal light packets for about $10 - $15. The drawback with the Miralax solution is that you have to drink an entire gallon of it (1/2 gallon - 1 - 8 oz glass every 20 minutes, then later, the other 1/2 gallon at the same 20 minute intervals). This, in addition to lots of water or other clear liquids as instructed by your doctor.
Avatar f tn A lady I have chemo with (also on topo), mixes the Miralax in warm prune juice and says it works great. You can also take stool softeners with the Miralax. Hopefully, the chemo will take care of the tumors on/by your Mom's colon. IF your Mom goes on iron, there is a new pill "HEMAX" (an Rx) that is a combo of Vitamin C, Iron, and stool softener. You need to take iron with Vitamin C for good absorption. Good luck .. don't know anything about Gemzar ..
Avatar n tn Why was c-phen dm infant drops recalled?
