I have been having okay results since June with Miralax and Colace. A few weeks ago I began having what looks to be blood in the stool. I told my onc right away. She said do not worry. It is probably from a blood vessel bursting. Well, I tried not to worry, but it did not work! Could the Miralax be the trouble?

I am having crazy pain under my kidneys as well and have been having a lot of kidney and bladder infections. I was regulary, I just want to be able to have a regular bowel movement so bad and feel not so tired. Help?

She has had life long problems and been tested for Hershsprungs disease. the family has issues, if it might be related, my cousin was diagnosed with chromes, now they are not sure what his problem is. I would encourage both of you to talk with his endocrinologist about looking into possible changes that can bring his a1c levels well down below 7. I have a 14 year old cocker spaniel who was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. She originally got sick a few weeks ago with pacreatitis, and when she recovered her lab work showed the kidney problems. I had the same problem. My doc also prescribed miralax. Im already swamped with other meds, so I decided to go natural to reduce the constipation. Try eating brown (wheat) instead of white and lots of green veggies (greens, spinach). It has done wonders for me.

My doctor told me to take miralax and to increase my water intake.

I am 10wks preggo and was wondering if Miralax is safe to take for constipation during pregnancy....I am very constipated and have been drinking Metamucil 2 times a day without any effectiveness....my husband is a pharmacist and says that it is safe because it doesn't enter the bloodstream, but I do not want to take something unless I know that it is safe. I have seen where it is category c. Thanks for your help....

If her pain eases at all with bowel movements then she sounds constipated. She can manage this by taking Miralax (or a generic you would find right next to it, and it will say "Compare to the ingredients in Miralax.") Also pick up glycerin suppositories while you are there. She should start taking it as directed, probably the first time 1 1/2 capfuls in a large glass of water.
