I have undergone 2nd cycle of IUI in Sep and today is my 23rd day after IUI, 34th day after last period. Just crossing fingers. Hopefully IUI may help. Dont lose heart. what is the exact purpose for taking progesterone after an iui? Any advice would be great! I was too excited about getting the news that i did ovulate yesterday to even ask! ( I would've hated to go through the iui and then not even ovulate when i was supposed to! But God was there with us!) Thanks!

i woke up this morning with bleeding which did not look like a normal start for menstrual cycle. noticed dark brown discharges but i am continuing to bleed. A HPT this AM turned negative In the earlier two attempts my menstrual cycle did not start until 15dpiui. Cannot understand what is going on and i feel very dejected since i was really hoping it would work this time. Need advise.

I just had to go to the dr. for a baseline ultrasound during my menstrual cycle. Day 4 to be exact and it showed that my lining was thin and that I had 14 eggs in left ovary and 10 in the right one. Now when I get my first positive on my OPK I have to go have another ultrasound done. What exactly is that for? This is my 1st IUI, and i had good infections and cervical bleeding with the IUI process,,my Dr said hopelessly after seeing the infection,,,i dont know what happens,,, But from next time iam going to ask my doctor for a beta check at 15days post IUI! I took beta blood test on day 13 after iui and its negative and today is day 18th day. was i went for test so early? I have menstrual cramps off and on every month and my Dr. told me its happened some women. From the day 14 i have tender my breast and headache.

According to my dr, i will take clomid days 5-9 and then i'll have to do a shot and then take progesterone suppositories after the procedure. Those with experience, can you tell me what to expect? Is it painful? i heard that clomid could cause irritability which is scary to me given i'm usually irritable anyway during the 2ww.

Hi ladies! I'm fairly new to the fertility & TTC world. I had my first Gonal F cycle and IUI in January-- BFN. Seeing an RE in Jan was a blessing in disguise though... During the end of that cycle they discovered a mass in my uterus. I had a saline sono in Feb and they found several polyps. The next week I had a D&C with polypectomy. I wasn't allowed to start another cycle until this month (April). My RE was super aggressive (per my request). Large doses of Gonal-F.

Cyst are very painful if they burst. I had a cyst going into my first cycle of IUI after a failed clomid cycle. We have decided to go IVF. My RE put me on birth control to dissolve the cyst. In week 2 on the BC pills the cyst was gone. Everyone is different but just an idea.

Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone has the same situation. I was on Follistim and had IUI this past cycle, didn't get pregnant. Today the ultrasound revealed that I have quite a few residual cysts left, so my doc said that we should take a break this month from the meds to give them time to dissolve and try IUI next cycle, so in a month. It is 10 dpo and I have not had tender breasts at all. I had light cramping the day after the IUI and I have been bloated and very gassy since day 7. I am gassy and bloated one day after I get my period but never like this. Could these be pregnancy symptoms or is it all in my head. I have been trying not to psych myself out but it is very difficult. I also took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative but i think it might be to early to tell if I am or not.

I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? I also have a close to normal menstrual cycle earliest was 25 and latest was 35.. My cycle pretty much got later after clomid which from what I know is normal. Anyways, can I be just another case of unexplained infertility?
