Avatar n tn You need a proper assessment and investigation here since there can be many causes for memory loss, headache and dizziness. Most common causes of short term memory and concentration impairment are excessive stress, psychological reason, recent head injury, certain medications, hormonal imbalance and Alzheimer’s disease (if you are in old age). I would recommend you to see a neurologist who can evaluate the details of your case and could better determine the insight of your situation.
Avatar m tn I have be diagnosed with a high reumatoid factor count but do not have any joint pain at all. I do suffer from dizzyness, headaches, memory loss, and blurred vision. No other results are coming back from my blood test besides the high factor count. Wondering if anyone has had these same issues.
Avatar m tn hi, i have been having bad migraines for afew months now, they made me dizzy, have memory loss, shakey hands, muddle up words even nausea. i will go to bed wiith the migraine and wake up the nrxt morning with it still. should i be worries?
Avatar f tn Before this incident, I had a fantastic memory. Since then, my short-term memory is horrible. Some examples are the inability to remember the events of the previous day, forgetting appointments, forgetting what I was about to say, and the worst one was when speaking to my mother, I forgot what our conversation was about when I was in the middle of a sentence. I have also noticed and decrease in patience.
Avatar n tn Lymes can have symptoms that include facial palsy, which is the loss of muscle tone on one or both sides of the face, as well as meningitis, which involves severe headaches, neck stiffness, and sensitivity to light. It may lead to memory loss, sleep disturbances, or mood changes. In addition, some case reports have described altered mental status as the only symptom seen in a few cases of early lymes.
Avatar n tn My implant is a VNS...Vegus Nerve Stimulator. I'm bi-polar w/depression. I went through 22 different kinds of meds before I got into a study for the vns. That was 2006. WORKS like a charm. Don't know what I would have done w/out it!! It took 2 years before I got it after I was diagnosed. An mri would basically electrocute me. Have to wear an alert bracelet. Headaches feel like they are causing memory loss, not sure though. Just hope I'm not going MORE crazy!
Avatar n tn She had severe headaches and dizziness and short-term memory loss. The contrast MRI diagnosed vertebral dissection. The headaches ended in a week. The dizziness and balance problems took about 2-3 weeks to get back to normal. Her one pupil that was 2.5 mm larger is now only .5 mm larger, (Ophthalmic exam was normal) but it has been 10 weeks and she still has short-term memory problems. Her memory is getting better.
Avatar n tn Was told it was normal. Symptoms, memory loss, headaches, fatigue. Two years later and 12 different types of medications, I went to another neurologist. A dozen or so tests now showed multiple brain lesions, the headaches were very bad and daily, and the memory loss is getting worse. Blood tests, spinal taps, MRI's, etc. My thyroid goes up and down, now my blood is showing levels of high amonia, and the headaches are becoming unbearable. I sleep fine, no snoring, and about 9 hrs a night.
Avatar m tn This MRI was from 2001 the reason for the MRI was the headaches, memory loss, fatigue while I was in the military.
Avatar f tn Does any one taking topamax for migraines have the problem of memory loss? Especially word loss when speaking or writing? I know this drug is nicknamed stupamax for a reason. It sure helps to know when you are not alone and others have the same side effects. Topamax helps my migraines and the weight loss is a plus too but the memory is suffering when it comes to writing and speech...like spelling...
Avatar n tn Transformed migraines are characterized by chronic persistent headaches associated with other neurological symptoms like memory loss. What is the location of these headaches? Is she on any treatment? Persistent severe headaches on the back of the head associated with memory loss and nausea vomiting should not be taken lightly as there is a possibility of stroke in these cases. Please schedule an earlier appointment for your friend. Take care!
Avatar n tn Sometimes it would cause minor headaches but they would pass. Over the past few months I have being experiencing severe short term memory loss (to the point that i would forget what i was talking about mid-sentence), headaches, getting tongue tied/ difficulty formulating basic sentences at times and an inability to concentrate on anything for a long period of time.
Avatar m tn I'm 15 years old, and I have been getting bouts of memory loss. Recently, I cannot remember things that I should be able to remember - only to think of them after like 10 seconds or more when I should be able to remember them instantaneously. Before, I don't remember having memory problems like this. Only, in the past couple of months do they start happening.
Avatar m tn So if my headaches continue, this means the lesions may get worse and I may start having symptoms of memory loss and loss of coordination that is common with this condition? Does anyone know what can be done to prevent further lesions??
Avatar n tn My daughter is 16 and has headaches 3-4 times per week. We've had her tested for allergies, eyes tested, no real issues. The doctor doesn't seem to think there's a tumor, mentioned the possibility of a pituitary tumor, but not certain. She usually gets them mid day, and is trying not to use OTC drugs, and when she does they don't always work. She is able to function, but it is tiring.
Avatar f tn I guess my fiance says I have memory loss since I was pregnant. Our daughter is a month now and I guess he says I see and hear things differently then how they happen or do things I don't know I did. He said it has been since I was pregnant not before. Has this happened to anyone?
Avatar m tn I've had memory loss due to vitamin B12 malabsorption, hypothyroidism, and severe stress. Alzheimer's is also called Diabetes Type 3. A book you might want to read is called Brain Grain by David Perlmutter M.D.
Avatar n tn I am a year and half post tx and I am experiencing memory loss, processing information (use to have a wonderful sense of direction) and just not myself. I have a very hectic job and I feel there are times I cannot keep up--and yes my confidence has diminished...anyone out there feel the same way...???
Avatar m tn But doing this resulted in side effect like shrinking of brain leading to memory loss. He is in critical condition now. Is there any solution for this. If yes, please give that advice fast.
