Funny, was researching ckground-color: #dae8f4'>meloxicam (I'm now taking it for osteo) because of it's possible adverse side effects on the liver and low and behold, found this. I understand that motrin isn't the greatest drug for the liver and it should only be taken under the guidance of a ckground-color: #dae8f4'>hep doc and for short periods of time. It's kind of a risk vs benefit type of thing. Another friend of mine who tried everything and got no relief swears by methadone. At least methadone is liver friendly.
My doctor started me on ckground-color: #dae8f4'>meloxicam to help remove the swelling in my joints and help ckground-color: #dae8f4'>with the pain. Now, I have researched a bit about the drug, checking the insert and also several websites, such as Drugs.
No pain when totally inactive but when I try to move, roll over or twist it is very painful. I get some relieve but not much. Narcotic pain relievers work well but I feel like a "zombie". Want to treat the cause and not the symptoms. Not sure how to proceed. What type of specialist should I see? I think this is related to cartilage in my rib area but not sure.
No evidence of lymphadenopathy. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ My GP says my lymph nodes in my neck and groin are swollen, for sure, and that both my spleen and liver are swollen--though the liver is not as swollen as the spleen, which is hanging about 3 - 4" below where it should be hanging. I'm surprised the radiologist didn't note this. I'm also confused as to why he would say, "No significant...

It is REALLY painful! No doc seems to have a real "cure" or even something remotely helpful. don't want to take steroids (lyrica, cymbalta) and gain EVEN more weight or get hooked on pain meds. What kind of doctor do I go to next ??? have been to a dozen. I weight 190 and don't want more weight from steroids.
They found lymphoma cells in my breast, and later a tumor that sits near my throat and possibly one on my liver (although this is debatable between doctors). I went through chemotherapy for about 6 months last year and now I'm on what they call a maintenance program where they intraveniously give me a very expensive drug called Rituxin every 2 months for 2 years. I also have frequent blood work and cT scans to make sure the lymphoma is behaving itself.

and it definitely caused some abdominal pain, though not in my liver/spleen area where I would've expected it...and it caused some pain near my neck/jaw. Ah, well. It was in the name of science. I just don't want it adversely affecting my results because that's the last thing I need at this point. Doctors are more likely to think I'm crazy than they are to actually re-order certain blood tests.
After the third day I started getting pins and needles in my right hand then it spread to both hands, chest and back and now down my legs. Most of body is now feeling numb and I've had all sorts of tests all of which came back clear. Sometimes my hands feel like they are on fire and feel swollen?? 2 weeks on and in and out of hospital still no change. I already take a multi vitamin b. does anyone have any answers, suggestions or ideas as to how to get my feeling bac?
but I have read the warning label regarding possible liver toxicity/damage...any opinion would be helpful..
Hence if both ankles are swelling then you will need to get heart function assessed by EcHO and EKG, get kidney and liver function tests done and get a complete blood picture for anemia. Low sodium in blood, hypothyroidism and malabsorption syndromes causing low protein in blood have to be looked into. I think you should discuss these possibilities ckground-color: #dae8f4'>with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this ckground-color: #dae8f4'>without examining.

All these symptoms started a couple weeks after and when I went to my doctor he said it was maybe a rare case to where the <span style = 'ba<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>c</span>kground-<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>c</span>olor: #dae8f4'>meloxi<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>c</span>am</span> may had lowered my blood count or caused liver damage. I have had a blood test run and everything showed up as normal. So I wasn't diagnosed ckground-color: #dae8f4'>with anything but I still have these symptoms regardless of what or even how much I eat and even if I sleep 6 hours or 10. Some days are less severe but they are still persistent.
