Im now almost 32 weeks and baby is fine. Although i think she said yeast infections were common with it I never got one. These sites online may not be the most reputable so I wouldn't listen much. Plus if you dont take meds you could end up with bladder or kidney infection.

So in April I had unprotected sex, I got a severe yeast infection that took a couple doses of diflucan to cure I have always had a problem with reoccurring yeast infections.

I took 3 day Monistat and the symptoms went from urgency/frequency of urination to just urethral burning. I then became convinced I had an overgrowth of candida in my system (I have had yeast infections countless times since my teens, not to mention BV, my tongue is always white and furry, I cough up small white chunks sometimes and often have a bad taste in my mouth) so I convinced the clinic doc to give me Diflucan. She gave me one pill which helped, but it wasn't enough.

Flagyl is normally used to treat BV and Macrobid is normally used to treat bladder infections and UTIs and fluconazole is used to treat yeast infections commonly known as oral diflucan I understand your pain I feel as though I end up with one every month I've even went as far to brew peppermint tea and make a nice douche with that it helps with the smell the celestial seasons work best one bag peppermint and one bag chamomile nice combination plus also use providine iodine to make your own

You just need to be careful cause i think yhey say they cause yeast infections which can be harmful to your baby. So i would just make sure your doctor is approving them.

I'm 23, last month I had a UTI. It was the first UTI I have ever experienced, and it started the day after my period ended. It was a Thursday night when an urge to urinate started and by the next morning I had very visible blood in my urine. I went to a walk in clinic and did a urine test, it showed that I had the UTI. I was put on 3 days of Bactrim. It seemed to work great and the next day all of my symptoms were gone.

Hi.. has anyone else taken macrobid for uti?? Is it normal to feel horribly sick with it? How did you all deal with the nausea? My doc gave me reglan but it doesn't seem to be helping and I'm hardly half way with macrobid.. I've been non functional while taking it and it's getting worse every day. Any advise on dealing with it will be appreciated..

I've been told I have a UTI and was given Macrobid/Nitrofurantoin. I have taken 3 tablets but out of curiosity I looked them up on the internet and it said some women have lost their babies days after taking the tablets. Has anyone taken these and had a healthy pregnancy?!

So, right now I am being treated with Macrobid for a bladder infection, Valtrex for possible HSV, and a cream yeast infection treatment. I was given a hospital-grade topical ointment containing lidocain for the burn. The doctor said that regardless of what the problem is, it should be gone in a few days. I am very unhappy with this conclusion, as I want to know for sure if I have HSV or not, obviously.

I have chronic bladder infections and on long term Macrobid and still get frequent UTIs. I have had 3+ bacteria for the last 2 months despite Cipro and Levaquin. This morning the UTI is back with burning, frequency. They did not do a C&S before Cipro I think because it is always e-coli. I've been hurting during sex past couple weeks and I'm 32 1/2 weeks. And it feels swollen when I wipe for next Atleast 2 days. It's not sharp pains but it just hurts to have sex. All negative, every time. Also been tested for bv and yeast many times, usually negative yet symptoms continue to persist even after antibiotics usually Macrobid or Keflex. I usually feel better after antibiotics but a week later the symptoms will return. I discovered about 2 weeks ago my boyfriend had another partner who he swears was clean about 6 weeks ago. The antibiotics in the penicillin family can cause vaginal yeast infections and diarrhea in women by affecting the normal vaginal and colon bacteria. The better drug would be macrodantin 100mg at night if your cultures are sensitive to it. Long term cipro is also not good because it will cause antibiotic resistent bacteria to eventually grow. Since you are structurally normal and there is no obvious focus of infection long term antibiotic suppression may be your only answer.

Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!

ok thank you ladies i was just worry never heard of taking pills till you give birth for a uti and i really dont want to keep drinking pills bt i guess for both me and my baby's health.i've literally been on something my entire pregnancy with yeast infections, uti's and bacteria vaginosis. im just tiredof it. are you babies all healthy and stuff? i just dont feel like right drinking so many pills. while being pregnant i keep gtting scared i might affct my son in any way.

then was given 5 days worth of flagyl a month ago (for possible trich), and over a week ago was given macrobid for only 3 days (felt better for a couple days). Have seen 2 urologists, both said I'm fine and nothing is wrong. At times it feels like a burning sensation, getting worse when I have to urinate. No discharge or burning while urinating. Any type of antibiotic to try or cream? It's been over 2 months and it's driving me crazy.

Well back in November I got a bladder infection the week before my outbreak and was treated and I was fine. Well last week I got another bladder infection, and had a prescription for macrobid so I completed the course, and subsequently came down with a yeast infection. Treated that, and now I have my monthly outbreak, except I woke up with the bladder issues yesterday, I'm afraid of taking antibiotics, and I don't have insurance. My question is can HSV2 cause bladder, UTI issues?
