I was on macrobid for a UTI at the time of collection (started on macrobid Saturday, had 4 doses by the time of collection on Monday morning, blood work as fasting so last dose taken before blood collection was over 12 hours previously). Does anyone know if macrobid affects eGFR or is this level an induction of possible kidney infection/disease/cancer?
The cyst on your back is not related to the pneumonia unless it formed a track containing puss to the lung from the back. If you still have symptoms of pneumonia, please see a lung specialist - a Pulmonologist. They will order a CT of the lungs to look closer within the soft tissues and ask them to order Lung Function Testing to see if you are breathing adequately and have good lung capacity.
DOES MACROBID CAUSE BLEEDING OR MAKE YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE COME EARLY. I JUST FINISHED MACROBID 7 DAY TREATMENT. MY MENSTRUAL CAME 3 DAYS EARLY AND THERE IS BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND USUALLY MY MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS NOT THAT BRIGHT. I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. I was stopped from taking the macrobid and started on it 2 more times and each time the weakness returned. Is there anyway to fix this? It is getting rather annoying and saddens me cause it feels like i cant do anymore what i like to. If anyone has had the same thing happen, please let me know im not alone... I had UTI and treated with Ciprofloxin ,after my family doctor changed the medicine to Macrobid 100 ( 2 times/day) for ten days.2 Urine tests are done and still the symptons fo Nitrofuratoin are available ,Dr says we have to continue .Internal physical rectal examination said right enlarge ment of prostrate. I am 44.PSA test shows high 62 .Doctor is still taking this as Prostitis.I have been asked to get another PSA after 10 days of Microbid course.
Did anyone take macrobid for uti during third trimester?
Uti or bladder infection. My doctor proscribed me macrobid. Terrified to take it, anyone else had to use this while pregnant, I'm only 8 weeks!
Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. And i dont want to cause my boy and family need me to fight.

He did a spirometry test which turns out was abnormal or showed that I have restricted lung disease. I went for a chest xray which turned out to be normal. I do however notice that if I burp it releaves that feeling of not enough air. I have a appointment with a pulmonologist in a couple weeks. I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience or what the chances are that I have a fibrosis disease?

A heart echocardiogram revealed “minor” right heart thickening (doctor said it was normal with hypertension) and a lung function with revealed minor restrictive lung disease. His blood pressure is controlled with medication. My husband is literally not able to walk more than 15-20 feet without giving out of breath, needing to sit down. Up until 3 weeks ago, he was extremely active walking/running daily. He is not able to eat without taking several breaks to just catch his breath.
Our son is 17. Severe Cerebral Palsy, sudden onset scolisos at puberty. Spinal surgery at 13. Increased scoliosis and crankshafting at 15 years. At 16 diagnosed with severe restrictive lung disease. Right lung "caged" between spine and severe ribcage deformity. Removal of hardware, "fixing" of severe ribcage rotation not possible. CT scan shows right lung smaller than should be and breath sounds show very little movement.
I'm 10 weeks and I have a UTI. ER doctor prescribed me Macrobid 100mg BID for ten days. Have any one taken this while pregnant? I googled it, and there were a lot of horror stories......just curious to see if others have taken, and there pregnancy remained normal...
Twitching is more often due to more benign causes( benign fasciculation syndrome, over exertion etc). it is a disease of the motor nerves, the muscles or the neuromuscular junction. Fasciculation were correlated with body weight and height and to the anxiety levels, regular strenuous exercise. Attention deficit disorder or drugs used to treat it and a related disorder may be a contributing factor.
Genetic and environmental factors also contribute.
You did comment that it was unlikely that the uti med(macrobid) could have cleared something up???? What disease could the med cleared up?I do remember even after taking macrobid i had a very pronounced lumbar pain mainly left side.I felt as if my kidneys were infected as well.I experienced chills but no fever.I did get lab result in rhumatoid factor -28.I am 42yrs.old.My last urinalysis neg.Please help me.
She had a severe allergic reaction to levaquin back in september, but recent rash did not begin until feb. She was taking macrobid for kidney infection in jan. but rash did not begin until feb. she has seen primary care, infectious disease control and allergy doctos and none of them can tell her what it is or what causes it. Biopsy says bacterial fungus, but steroids and antibiotics not helping.
