1512574 tn?1342608485 I use Jay Robb Protein Powder that I get at GNC. It is mostly used to make a protein shake. It is also used in P2 of the HCG Diet and can be used to make some receipes.
Avatar f tn Can somebody explain to me why a low carb diet us felt to be better for those with a dysautonomia?
579258 tn?1250649343 You know what would be great on those pancakes? When I make protein pancakes, for a topping I take frozen blueberries and add a spoon of water and heat them in a pan, when they unthaw crush the berries and stir until they start to thicken a bit, only takes a few minutes. It is like syrup and is nice and sweet and no need to add any sugar so your syrup is just pure blueberries!! You can do it with any frozen berries.
579258 tn?1250649343 For 339 calories, I had 3 pumpkin wheat pancakes and 1/2 c of sugar free syrup ... yummm!!! In the first 3 pancakes, I added cinnamon and in the second 3 pancakes I added ginger. Uniquely different and I like both. (Had 2 ginger pancakes and 1 cinnamon pancake.) I let the other 3 cool and will place them between wax paper and put them in a freezer bag to store until one morning next week. Am actually thinking about making some more and freezing them while I'm in the mood to cook.
1266263 tn?1270153368 These carbohydrates provide not only energy but also important vitamins and minerals. You store only carbohydrates not protein or fats in your muscles in the form of sugar called glycogen. During hard exercise, you burn this glycogen for energy. When you deplete your glycogen stores, as can happen during repeated days of hard training and a low carbohydrate diet, you feel overwhelmingly exhausted.
Avatar f tn I swear I eat the same things every morning! Eggs, turkey sausage, pancakes and fruit or when I get lazy cereal and fruit lol What's on the menu?!
7540649 tn?1395719596 My midwife told me I need to get 100 grams of protein a day! I don't normally get anywhere near that much. Normally I don't eat meat every day, so I would be lucky to get 20 grams... I can't eat peanuts, beans, soy, or pork. Eggs make me throw up right now (I used to really like them). Any ideas for how I can get closer to 100 grams of protein in a day? I'm making an effort to eat meat more, but I'm not that used to it and it isn't sitting well.
Avatar n tn Sorry- didn't answer the protein- I eat avocadoes and eggs for lunch in my salad among other sources of protein- i eat handfuls of peanuts and almonds almost daily. i usually eat meat or chicken for dinner every night.
Avatar m tn I will have an egg and toast, yogurt and fruit and muesli, raisin bran, low fat pancakes or a hot cereal on a rotating basis. I also love making baked oatmeal - you can keep it in the fridge and help yourself over a number of days. Here is one of my favorites: http://www.canadianliving.com/food/maple_baked_oatmeal.
4287262 tn?1358999012 Is there any good snacks or foods i can eat at night to fill me up and keep me full. I cook a full dinner, meaning Meat, Veggies, and a carb/bread usually around 7pm I eat dinner. But by like 9-10pm I am starving again. Like tonight I have been so hungry and don't really have any snacks in the house other than an orange, which i have been eating non stop. And now i am weighing my options of stop being lazy and making myself some pancakes, or just keep eating another orange.
Avatar f tn I had my stool exam but i was negative for anything to be looked at. and i was diagnosed with ulcer/gastritis and was asked to have a low protein diet and some fiber supplements. I was also given Dulcolax/laxative to relieve my constipation. It didn't really help me at all and now i'm still having irregular bowels and stomach pain... please help...
Avatar f tn Without proper testing results one assumption is you experienced reactive hypoglycemia. Reactive hypoglycemia [or alimentary hypoglycemia] is low glucose [blood sugar] that occurs after a meal — usually one to three hours after eating. Try the following: • Eat several small meals and snacks throughout the day, no more than three hours apart. • Eat a well-balanced diet including lean and nonmeat sources of protein and high-fiber foods including whole grains, fruit and vegetables.
Avatar f tn The nurse said start your day with protein, but also 45g of carbs. Eggs, meat, yogurt, etc. No bagels, waffles, pancakes before noon. Diet drinks or water. Fruits with skin. I have a whole list of do's & don't's.

Avatar f tn I took out bread as this started to cause me trouble and replaced with homemade alternatives. One of which was banana pancakes made with ground down almond instead of flour. Delicious!
Avatar n tn I remember a time when I could eat pancakes and have chocolate milk and be fine. If I try that now, I get an emergency trip to the bathroom within about 30-45 minutes after eating. Is this a common problem after this surgery? What can I do to have pancakes again? Will this ever subside? Help.

704458 tn?1236841243 c o m and there they have a daily plate section you fill in what you eat and drink, they work out the calories and the protein, carbs, sugar, fibre, cholesterol and sodium levels - I have been shocked to see that for instance: 2 slices of white bread a little light flora spread ketchup 2 pancakes 1 medium baked potatoe 3oz cheese half tin baked beans Takes me to: 151.47% of my daily allowance of sodium 100.8% of my daily allowance of carbs 101.32 % of my daily allowance of protein. WOW....
Avatar f tn I've been doing a high protein diet and that works for me. Last pregnancy I couldn't eat anything but carbs. I have to watch dairy though now.
8112046 tn?1396620403 I make egg banana pancakes. You should Google it. I layer them with fresh bananas inbetween too. They're yummy and healthy.
615752 tn?1361867986 Thought I would post another question on breakfast because that is out worst meal of the day. I have tried different types of cereals but she basically eats porridge-like cereals (actually have only found one she likes). Would like to hear some comments and perhaps exchange some ideas on breakfast for our little ones.
Avatar f tn I've been doing low carb for 3 weeks and I am down 14lbs. I fell off the wagon last week, had an awful stomach bug and just couldn't bear what I would normally have, as soon as I felt well enough I jumped right back on it. Just looking for some motivation, inspiration or even just a natter.
