lovenox and labor and delivery

As far as I know lovenox is no reason to perform a c section. If you are unsure, then please ask your Dr. why he/she wants to deliver you this way. Your wishes do count and it's important you feel comfortable and confident in how the actual delivery takes place.

I am currently 25 weeks and have been on Lovenox since week 6. I have a blood clotting problem. I will have a csection at 36 weeks but that is due to other health problems. I will have to have those stupid leg vacuun things while in hospital to keep circulation. I hate those things very loud and you can't move. Plus will have to continue Lovenox for 8 weeks after birth.

Hi there. Went today for my 31 week appt and my ob had mentioned that we switch from lovenox to heparin at about 36 weeks. I'm on lovenox for factor 5 with history of a blood clot. She also then recommended induction at 39 weeks.... the heparin would be a good idea if an epidural was needed/wanted but it's more cost and twice a day rather than once. I'm really focused on a natural delivery but understand that plans can change suddenly.

Has anyone been put on bedrest until delivery and use Blood Thinners Heparin and Lovenox to keep from getting blood clots?

m going to have this little girl earlier than expected. We discussed my section and the doctor wants me off all lovenox/heparin for at least a week before he does the surgery. Since i went into labor with my daughter at 39 weeks he thinks i'll go earlier than that with this one. So he is giving me an amnio at 37.5 weeks to see if her lungs are developed - if so he said he will deliver her between 37.5 and 38 weeks. That means Christmas baby for me!!!

I would like to have another child, how significant are the risks to my health during a pregnancy and delivery. Will coumadin hurt the fetus and if so are there alternatives during the pregnancy.

I also have to be induced at 39 weeks and then continue lovenox for 6 weeks after delivery.

I'm on Lovenox and this is my second birth and they will induce me again...just pitocin and breaking your water is all they will usually do..good luck!!

Call to see if I needed to go into labor and delivery and was rushed there. Was admitted to a room and they monitored me and the baby. Her heart rate was high and it wouldn't go down. My baby was under distress. I was scheduled for a c section at 7pm. Got prepped for the c section and was under anesthesia numb from underneath the boob and down. At 8:00pm Brielle Elizabeth Ann Harris was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and shoulder.

My labor and delivery went very well i had been on labor since 6 am but didnt actually know untill 10 am to 11 am got to the hospital close to 12 p.m contractions was coming got me in checked me was dialated to 6-7 cm then thry broke my water at 7-8 cm and a little after that i started pushing had her at 5:38 pm healthy baby girl 7 lbs 10 oz 20 inches. Long.

m a little scared that I might miss something or do something wrong and what not.. Any advice at all about labor and delivery would be greatly appreciated... Thanks much!

Everything will be fine im sure of it when I went to labor and delivery early they made sure that they baby wasnt coming early and they will do the same thing for u also...

I need some labor and delivery stories. This is my first and I am completely freaking out about ripping and tearing and stitches and pooping during labor. Please tell me these horror stories can be avoided or don't happen to everyone.

Im a ftm and I constantly physc myself out over labor and delivery. To those who have been there done that how bad was it?

So I have spent the morning in labor and delivery with contractions every 5 minutes. ( been this way since about 2am). Good news is my cervix is still high and only 1cm dilated, babys head hasn't engaged and my waters haven't broke. I'm 35 weeks and although I can go home I have to rest, no more work for me. Could be anytime or could still make it another few weeks. Really hope I get to 37 weeks.

I'm getting an epidural just crossing my fingers it actually works. I just want an easy delivery. And easy labor. I'm just really ready for him to be here. The pregnancy goes by so fast!
